Incredible place, recommended by Anthony Bourdain … the to-go counter is amazing. Just get some croquettes, empanadas and a beer and go drink it across the street on the wall overlooking the water. It’s a great spot for a snack or a cold drink, and you get to watch the boats go by. I love this place!

Simple, traditional, tasty local food. I loved the "home" feeling as it was basically just us and cariocas during lunch break. Service is attentive, the view is very nice and the selection is large.

A very warm place. Get some beer downstairs, sit across the road and enjoying the water around - definitely a must! A bit more “official” atmosphere upstairs with friendly staff and nice suggestions. Was able to pay tips by card - top!

Couldn't do a stop in Rio without visiting Bar Urca. The beer was cold, the pastels hot and the view amazing. Anthony Bourdain really was right about this place. We opted to eat upstairs but I would suggest just stopping past at the bar downstairs at sunset to enjoy the sunset.

We ordered everything! From the pastries to the shrimp to the vegan bobo. Also, the staff is very friendly. If you are visiting Rio, this is a must go. Cute little corner restaurant by the water.

Really good food, ate the shrimp bobo with rice and fried cassava flour, plenty of food for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Amazing views of Urca bay and incredible food. The sardine is just out of this world

The fuss is well deserved!!! The food, service and view are top notch. Don't miss out on the Bobo if you're a shrimp fan.

This place crams so many tables next to each other, you can barely move your chair. Good for a one time visit only if you can grab a table by the windows (and if you don't have noisy neighbors). Food is tasty and the portions are HUGE.

Very peaceful place to eat by the water. The cod fish balls are a bit salty. Crab pie is good. Chicken pie is meh. Shrimp pastel is delicious! Overall a good experience but there is better food out there.

Very nice restaurant located right on the waterfront if the bay. Many types of plates for 2 or 3 people to share. Fresh food. Little expensive relative to Brazil in comparison to similar places

Great place ! You can admire the nice view and see the planes taking off. I choose the fried shrimp with rice, it was excellent and mostly inexpensive. The Caipirinha is also excellent !

Not so fond of the restaurant itself. It's very small. The great deal here is to go to the bar counter and order the typical Brazilian tapas, bolinho de bacalhau and pastel, beer and seat across from it on the famous Mureta da Urca. From the short wall, right by the Guanabara Bay you will experience a local favorite. Chill out with beer, great snacks and a wonderful view.

It's a lovely restaurant with very nice atmosphere. Portions are very big so you can share it. The octopus salad was excellent. O have it only 4 stars cause I didn't like the quality of the fish in the stew, and someone ordered chicken that was topped woth ham and didn't mention it in the menu.

A little bit pricy but still worth it. The food is delicous and the portions are big. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Amazing location with a gorgeous view and better Portuguese food than most of Portugal according to my friend. We particularly enjoyed the bolinho de terrinha.
