On our visit to Portugal from the US, we stayed here in April of 2023 for about 3 nights and we LOVED it. The location is just a 15 min walk from the downtown and it is very well located to take trips in and out of Sintra. Being very close to pena palace, we were able to hike to the palace and we had really amazing breakfast which they offer and it is the best. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and held our luggage for us as we were tootling around with early arrival and late departure. The rooms are very clean, spacious and the bathrooms are amazing. Will definitely strongly recommend and visit again soon!

Beautiful little hotel in the very heart of Sintra's old town, really charming and romantic atmosphere, very clean rooms, nicely decorated property with lots of lovely and interesting details and touches, has a wonderful sitting area with library and a lovely little seasonal swimming pool that must be a pleasure to use in the warmer months. Staff was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was really good. The hotel is close to the beautiful Palace of Pena and other wonderful attractions in Sintra. Definitely a fantastic stay and would happily recommend!

Charming B&B Very welcoming from the start by the staff. The gentleman who checked us in gave us a mini tour of the different areas of the property. Helped us get settled into our lovely room. The setting of the breakfast eating area was warm and inviting. The breakfast menu had a good variety of delicious items to choose from. What a great way to start our day. The ladies attending were very gracious and made sure we had what we needed. Francesca was very knowledgeable in regards to places to see and things to do in Sintra. She was a delightful lady. We look forward to visiting again!

Very clean with lots of nice touches, great breakfast, helpful proprietors, several good places to eat if you want to be away from the tourist crowds. We were easily able to hike to the downtown as well as Peña and Quinta. Would definitely return

This place was a slice of heaven for two very jet lagged travellers. The staff was quick to accommodate us when we had to bail out of other accommodation and were friendly. The beds are SO comfy and the shower was wonderful (great water pressure). The breakfast was fantastic too. Absolutely would return here

I made the booking two months in advance and as you can see from the room description it’s double or twin bed so I wrote to say we would like a double to which a copy and paste response came that it’s ‘subject to availability’. On arrival we were met with no enthusiasm told the room was not ready which was fine so we went to lunch after which another staff who seemed equally nonchalant showed us to our room at the entrance down some stairs to the right. She opened the door and I stepped in and started sneezing there was a dank musty mouldy smell to which she replied it was the Sinatra mountain. After looking round the property I realised that the other rooms were either facing the hills or the swimming pool and had sun where as our room was semi below ground level looking at the car park and air conditioning units and their storage. People were walking by constantly and there were no net curtains for any privacy unless you closed the black out curtains or shutters so you had no natural light. I subsequently said to the lady that we had booked a Mountain View room to which reply came ‘subject to availability’ and we are fully booked till…why can’t they block off the room that you actually paid for (they take payment in advance) or have accurate descriptions perhaps people might even pay more for the view? That night I had an asthma attack and my husband developed a cough on inspection there was rising damp from the walls. Next morning I had a look around other rooms being turned over which didn’t have the same problem the staff was fully aware of problem of the damp room from their attitude not their fault but obviously management above couldn't careless since a place like Sintra there are no returning guests and you will be gone and they are fully booked anyway. Other things that made our experience unpleasant was the lady at breakfast was slamming down the food at our table no smiles no greetings and we can hear her attacking the dish washer like she was having a bad day. I don’t blame her as the second morning I saw her making the beds and running down the stairs to serve at the table totally disgruntled. The Heating and AirCon functions were locked in the room not the public areas and the pool was not heated (again turned off she says) despite two previous hotels we stayed at already had theirs on. No kettle in the rooms and just a nespresso machine in the common area with a note of 2euros per capsule. This just sums up their idea of hospitality. From the photos it’s very instagram place with a fancy Hidden Place group title but at best it’s totally soulless and at worst a real health hazard.

Member of Unlock Boutique Hotels and very beautiful. Guests enjoy a custom prepared and complete breakfast. Antiques in every room but sublimely modern. From the street, the entrance is on the left. An electronic pass code is necessary. Limited street parking because the area surrounds a church. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend this romantic getaway.

Very lovely stay! Great service and nice people work here. Very friendly. The rooms are cute and hotel looks like the images. It’s clean and new. no old dusty stuff. (I thought that would be the case) also breakfast is included. We love to come back one day.

Lovely and welcoming staff. Beautiful and charmy rooms. We got a discount and were upgraded to a deluxe room. Breakfast was yummy and the chef super nice. Obrigada!

It was a complete disappointment when arriving at the room and there where 2 single beds for me and my wife. This is "boutique" hotel in a mountain region outside Lisbon but couples have to sleep separately. When I asked to join the beds properly, they answered that they do not have bed linen at that size. I do not recommend this "boutique" hotel.
