Title: Disappointing Experience with Numerous Issues Rating: ★★☆☆☆ I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. There were several issues that need immediate attention and improvement. Firstly, the carpet in the room emitted a strong unpleasant odor, indicating a need for thorough steam cleaning. A professional vacuuming should also be conducted regularly to ensure cleanliness and freshness. One of the most disappointing aspects was the room service. Despite claiming to clean the rooms, the staff barely made an effort. They completed their tasks hastily within a mere five minutes and prevented guests from observing their actions. This lack of transparency raises concerns about the quality and thoroughness of their cleaning service. Another concern was the policy surrounding the continental breakfast. Guests need to be cautious about which items they are permitted to eat without incurring additional charges. It is disappointing that even a simple request for an egg can result in a $5 fee. This kind of pricing is unreasonable and does not align with the expectations of a quality hotel. Furthermore, the parking fees were exorbitant. Charging $40 for parking is excessive, especially considering the fact that I am a member of the hotel's loyalty program. As a loyal customer, I would expect a more reasonable and discounted rate for parking. Overall, my experience at this hotel was marred by numerous issues. From the unpleasant carpet odor and inadequate room service to the restrictive breakfast policy and steep parking fees, it is clear that improvements are needed in various areas. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards enhancing the quality of their services to ensure a more enjoyable stay for future guests.

While traveling for the MFF event that was hosted at the nearby convention center towards the end of November, with most hotels closer to the convention center being fully booked, this hotel had plenty of availability, and given it was all suites, I decided to book it so a friend and I could stay here. The hotel got the basics right: a nice, clean room, a comfortable bed, and a fresh morning breakfast. Given that my friend and I only spent the nights and mornings within the hotel, having a full suite was overkill. Still, the extra space was excellent, especially having a full sofa to sit and relax after a crazy day at the convention. The service, for the most part, was good the whole time I was in the hotel, minus the hotel always taking over an hour to respond to direct messages. Still, given that the front desk sends these and there’s usually only one person at the desk, that would explain it. I found the bed incredibly comfortable and slept very well; I was actually quite sad when I had to leave and return to my mattress. However, there were some permanent stains on my sheets, which I feel is unacceptable for the price I paid. However, I could tell the bed otherwise was clean, and the sheets had been laundered, so it still passed. The only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth over the entire stay was one breakfast staff member. The lady there on Saturday, December 2nd, was rude and gave my morning a poor start. She seemed more focused on leaving earlier than the scheduled breakfast closing at 10:30 than serving customers. She rudely told us that we could sit anywhere, and I also heard her telling a guest that she wouldn’t split their bill because she didn’t want to run 4 credit cards. Our server was amiable and ensured we were cared for throughout the whole meal. I also found that the breakfast was lacking in both selection and quality for the $23 price that was charged. However, the food offered at dinner was excellent, and both Gio and the other waiter/bartender were great. Overall, as a hotel for a convention, it was a great place, not in the craziness of MFF, allowing for good sleep, but still within 15 minutes of the con so we could take as many breaks as we needed. The added convenience of the shuttle (both the convention-provided and the hotel-provided airport shuttle)was also a big perk for this hotel. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience. I will certainly consider rebooking the hotel for the next time I go to this area for a convention or general travel.

Everything is beautiful and amazing. When you enter from the parking lot, everything has a system and is very organized and clean. Upon entering, the welcoming area was very neat and beautiful. The staff were very helpful with every question and assistance. When entering the elevator, it was very smooth and eloquent. The hallways are also very clean and the design and unique. Now the meat and potatoes; the room is amazing, clean, new, spot on clean, 2 TV, one for the room and other for the sitting area. the bathroom had a bathtub and a shower. Overall, it was just amazing. 10/10. In addition, had a shuttle service as well, so amazing.

This hotel was so disappointing. The staff at the front desk was disrespectful, and the romm service WE CALLED for, never even came. The hotel is ok but the employees were just horrible. Our cleaning lady only came once out of our 3 day stay, then they took out half of my fee from my 300 deposit? And the mean mugs you get from the people at the desk workers are always the worst. And the men who checked us in kept spelling and saying our last name wrong, made rude comments about it, and had an attitude thee entire time. Don’t recommend!

The rooms were cleaned comfortable, the shower was nice and had good water pressure. I found the beds and pillows to be very comfy and can say throughout my entire stay I always had a good night's rest. Just be aware if you are a light sleep you will hear the planes coming in for landing as you are about 10 minutes away from Chicago O'Hare International Airport. While I was there I used the pool which was nice and quiet considering I didn't switch from UK time so was away from 5am. Opened at a good time (5am) was clean and for the most part always have towels available. My only issue was the ladders to the pool felt a it loose when entering and existing and on the past day (around 7am) there weren't any towels. But again I feel this is me being picky.

The hotel is 100% suites and for chicago, its very large suites at that. The property is excellent, offering great amenities. The service is good, very professional and courteous. Had a problem though, seems like the hotel double charged me and did rectify the situation quickly, had to wait three to five business days. Plus no one attempted to compensate me for their actions just apologized. And on to the next. It tied up over $500 on my card. Other than that, the experience was good.

This hotel was disappointing in many ways. My colleague and I were diverted to Chicago and left without luggage. We booked a room at the Marriott Suites thinking they would have the basic amenities for a traveler. The complimentary shuttle only runs on the half hour, and we found ourselves waiting 25 minutes for the shuttle and when it arrived, we nearly missed it. (The sign was typed and in the window.). Then upon arrival, we learned they only had a toothbrush/toothpaste to offer and no makeup wipes or face cleanser - either complimentary or to purchase. The room itself was roomy and comfortable. The bed was comfortable as well. I

The hotel staff from each shift were great. They handled everything with such ease. Non stop professionalism. My room was nice and clean. I like this location bc majority of not all rooms are suites. In the suite there will be a fridge which was great for my leftovers and a microwave. The overall room was spacious my fav part of the room is the shower! I gotta get a setup like that! Come enjoy your stay! There is a parking fee of $32 I’d like for ppl to be aware of but that is unlimited in and out with the use of your room key.

The best hotel we have ever stayed at. The only problem we had was with one employee. We had interactions with probably seven employees during our seven day stay. Everyone else was so nice, polite, and helpful. This man however (I do not know his name) we did not have a single pleasant interaction. Even with those interactions, we will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Chicago.

Large 2 room suite with double bed and large sofa. Small desk. 2 TVs, shower and bath. Kitchenette with microwave. No kettle. Situated close to Chicago O'Hare airport, this hotel is aimed at the traveller about to travel /just arrived overseas. Rooms are spacious. Car park is large, but there is additional cost for parking. No room service is provided. There is a restaurant and bar on the ground floor.

Very nice, spacious rooms. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very large. Large closet, plus additional storage. I loved that the extra bed was a Murphy bed in the wall with a real mattress, versus a fold out hide-a-bed that is always uncomfortable. The bar area downstairs is very nice. There is outside patio seating. They have a health area and a market. I wasn't keen on the gate for parking, but once you go in and out once it becomes automated.

The room was clean and comfortable no worries there. Though we only got 2 towels for a room capable of sleeping 6. The biggest detractor for me was the lack of clarity on charges. For context, I stayed here for a large convention where the room rates were negotiated to some extent with the convention. The frustration was we were given a few different totals before arriving at the hotel and had planed to put the total charge on one of our cards. Instead we each had to check in separately and have each of our cards charged for the total amount of the stay as a hold. On top of that when one of our roommates got to the hotel the day after the rest of us checked in and they were told they could not check in anymore or validate their parking as they were no longer on our reservation some how. In the end we had many frustrations with the process for payment and check in

Got one of their rooms for a convention at the Hyatt. A bit annoying to walk 15 mins to the con, but it was just 2 road crossings. The hotel itself though: FANTASTIC. Like, the photos make it look a lot smaller than the rooms actually are. Pricing was great; room large, modern, and clean; loved the bathroom; full proper Murphy bed.

The room was very old looking, when I walked into my room the smell of urine, and sweat was so overwhelming it was hard to breathe. Both beds stunk of Urine, the remote for the TV was caked with dried food and who knows what else, I had no amenities just an open bar of soap and a used towel on the bathroom counter. The front desk was rude, short and had me on hold for 32 minutes before I hung up. I called down to order some food to bring up to my room and no one would answer the phone after calling for an hour and a half. Probably one of the most disgusting Marriotts I have ever stayed at.

Do not stay here if you value your time. Ive been trying to cancel a room for 2weeks and no one from the hotel is helping me. They are just giving me the run around till eventually it gets to the point where I cant cancel and get charged. Worst service of my life. Absolutely pitiful how unhelpful they are.

Was comped a room here due to travel delays resulting from Idalia. Front desk was not efficient. There was a long line to check in. A 'manager/supervisor' that had helped one priority guest at one counter did not stay to assist the front desk clerks with getting other guests checked in. Shame on him ! No coffee in the room (there was a pot under a counter but no cups nor coffee) Soap and Shampoo fragrance WAY TOO STRONG and unappealing in its aroma Wifi was not free Location was close to ORD and shuttle was timely.

Very convenient to airport. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was disappointing. Cost was $22/pp and it was the exact same breakfast you get at the lower end hotels that have free breakfast. Limited, basic buffet. They had a Starbucks vending type machine near the entrance that required a credit card. The biggest issues was the confusing paid parking. It cost $35/day to self park. You have to scan in on your phone. The process was confusing and more than once we had to back out so the person in front of us could back out and leave since they could not figure out how to enter. We were visiting family and depending on who you ask they will validate their parking. The one employee when I asked gave me the 3rd degree on why she was coming and when I said she was joining us for dinner she wanted to know if it was at the hotel restaurant (assume they would not validate if we left hotel for dinner??). Why does it matter? She was not very friendly about it. Fortunately when my sister left we were able to get another employee who was very nice about validating her parking. Though the hotel was 'fine', there are so any options by the airport, so we would probably try a different hotel next time.

My daughter had her 16th birthday sleepover here and it was fantastic. The rooms are spacious with a separate living room, kitchenette (w/microwave). The breakfast was fantastic with the option of made to order omelets. This hotel is also in a prime location near the Fashion Outlet Mall, Dave and Busters, and Parkway Bank Park where you'll find ice skating in the winter, Kings Bowling, Sugar Factory and more (only 3 min away). It was freezing when we were there (12/17/23), but in the summer, you can't beat this area.

The shuttle was very convenient, and all the drivers were so kind, especially Jack the driver. The staff member as well was very kind and upgraded our room after hearing about our bad situation, which was very kind. Room was good 👍

Absolutely do not stay at this hotel if you’re flying internationally. They told us to call for the shuttle for international flights when we landed. I called 5 times and they continuously stated they couldn’t reach the driver. So after my 10 hour flight I stood outside for an hour waiting for the shuttle. After my 5th time calling their response was “get a taxi.” This hotel isn’t capable of handling park and stay services for international travelers.

Bed bugs!!! If I could give this hotel and my experience 0 stars, I would, and it wasn’t just the bed bugs although that was the breaking point. I checked in shortly after 5:00 pm only to see part of the lobby torn up as they are currently doing construction, much of it with an electric saw. I came down to the ‘restaurant’ which is not really a restaurant but a place to get food that the bar staff will take your order/bring food when they are not busy with customers at the bar. So I try to eat and have a drink to relax after a long flight only to continue to hear the very loud grating of the electric saw (and mind you - I am half deaf). When I inquired when they might stop, I was told ‘hopefully soon’. I’ll jump ahead for this part of the story - at 9:30 pm when I checked out (because of the bed bugs), the sawing was still going on. I don’t know how anyone could have relaxed at the bar with all the noise. Jumping back, when I checked in my room, the toilet was full of toilet paper. I took a shower after dinner and there was no conditioner in the shower in the refillable containers so nothing I could do about that. But then the worst - I decide to go to sleep early as I have an important meeting in the morning and pull back the sheets only to see black things. It definitely looked like bed bugs so someone came up to take a look and confirmed they were bed bugs. I was then moved to another room where I pulled back the mattress cover and found a hair and some other specs - bed bugs or just dirt but at that point I was done. I asked to be moved across the street and they did rebook me at the W (another Marriott hotel). As I departed, I was told I would not be charged for the night (which at this point is the least they could do). I took that to mean my room across the street would be taken care of so imagine my surprise when I found out that no, my room at the W was not being covered. I called back over to the Marriott and was told that the gift they were giving me is to not charge me for my room at the Marriott, that had BED BUGS!!! I’ve travelled for business for 30 years and have never encountered such a horrible experience. I will never stay at this hotel and honestly you should not either.

Could be a nice hotel but failed to meet cleanliness expectations. I don’t think my room was cleaned or inspected. In the living area there was nuts that a previous guest has spilled on the floor between the sofa and coffee table. There was pubic hair in the bathroom floor and bath tub. The outside of the building definitely needs pressure washed and windows cleaned. It just doesn’t look like that nice of a hotel for the price. Marriott is usually my go-to for a hotel but they have really hurt my impression of them by this location. They even charge their guests to pay for a cup of coffee at their Starbucks machine in their lobby. Parking was $80 here as well. I could forget about those things if the room was clean. Cleanliness should be your number one priority as a hotel. It is for me as a guest as I am sure that it is for all of your other guests. I don’t know why so many hotels miss this. So disappointing.

-The staff was very rude. And thought they were doing us a favor for being there. -The room service was horrible. We asked for extra pillows and blankets and never received them. -The morning breakfast service was disappointing. We were told to seat ourselves, and never received any silverware, but the table that sat down after us received all their beverages, and silverware. When we asked the waitress for drinks, she brought us bottled water instead of glasses of water that everyone else had in the restaurant. -Housekeeping knocks at your door at 8 am to ask when you are checking out. The location of the hotel was in walking distance from where we needed to go. The room was nice.

I’ve been here on two separate occasions within the last few months. Rooms are nice and usually clean. There is no lounge for status guest and there is an up charge for the “free” breakfast. My issue is with the shuttle from the airport. The hotel is less than two miles away and it has taken nearly 50 minutes for the shuttle to arrive each time. The hotel blames it on the shuttle company but I say it’s their responsibility to fix the issue. All they do is say “Oh! We apologize” and move on. I’ll not be back.

From check in to turn down, a great experience. The staff here is very friendly. The hotel is very clean. After my flight was canceled and came here unexpectedly, they gave me an upgraded room “just to make my day better”. The food at the restaurant was very good. (I got the tacos, too, but ate them so fast I forgot to take a photo.) Bed was comfy and room was quiet. I travel a lot and this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

The staff were very nice and friendly. The rooms are dated, probably why the cost is so affordable. Air in the lines so the shower squeals. House keeping is average with many spots missed. I have video of the noises made by the shower but can't upload them. It's nice, I would stay again but it's definitely showing it's age.

This hotel helped a bad experience in Chicago become bearable. We were stuck in the city for 3 days with flights canceled during a layover because of thunder so we didn’t know what to do. They sent a shuttle to pick us up and offered a late checkout because we got to the hotel very late after waiting in the airport for hours. They recommended a pizza place that was opened and had the food delivered to our room. The room was clean and spacious, the room had a king bed and in the living room we had a murphy bed, and a sofa bed. A very nice view from our room and nice pool that we had to ourselves. If you ever need a place to stay near the airport this is your place, I would stay here anytime. Thank you for all you did for us Marriott Suites!

I really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Suites O'Hare. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel was beautiful with a lot of amenities. I really like the outside seating options that were available. I ordered extra towels through the app and they were never received. However, Adam handled my request efficiently and provided great customer service. He gave me information on the hotel and what it offers which was very appreciated. The location was perfect for my husband and I and the proximity away from the event we were attending in Schaumburg and downtown Chicago. There is an outlet mall down the road and dining options in the area. My only complaint was that some of the room was slightly dated and needs to be replaced (i.e. carpet) and the parking was congested and confusing. I was actually charged twice for parking but thankfully the issue was quickly resolved.

I flew in on a layover and decided to rest between stops. The service at the Marriot was great. Very respectful and courteous from the receptionist to the amazing shuttle tide to the airport, provided by the hotel (YOU STILL SHOULD TIP). The shuttle driver went above and beyond and ran around for exactly 120 seconds because that he was on a shuttle rotation and it was the only time he could spare. I'm so grateful for the great experience. I need to come back to Chicago for more than a layover next time! Thank you Marriot Suites.

They really need to be careful with hiring van drivers. The van driver was Extremely rude!!! All he was asked was” is this the van for the Marriott ?”Just that one simple question and he starts screaming at a customer saying can you read. Why can’t he simply say either yes or no. It’s a shame that a van driver would impact business because he wants to scream loudly at customers to where the whole area can hear just for asking if the van is the correct one. There’s many vans at the airport, the Marriott one is all white with no labels on the side. A customer should not be berated for wanting to confirm their on the right van. Overall I’ve been happy with Marriott but please be careful with your van drivers. They’re the first interaction with customers.

Good hotel near ORD. Not luxurious but enough for a quiet stay after/before a long flight. No breakfast if you book with points, that's just how Marriott operates. Rooms are a bit dated and worn, but it's clean and everything works. Lots of dining options and shopping nearby, so overall a good choice. Only bad thing is $32 for overnight parking. But, hey; Marriott isn't a charity, right?

They was so nice. I had to leave a review twice. Peter and Natasha at the front desk gave wonderful service, quick on time, Professional, clean hotel room. Great suites right next to the airport. If you in town for a night, definitely hop in the Marriott Chicago O'Hare suites. You won't regret it. Also thanks for the great Convo Peter.

Beautiful hotel, just right on the path of the airport where you hear the planes coming in & taking off all night. You won’t get much sleep! Lost one of my ear pods, left on front table or nightstand & when calling their lost & found…good luck, they said they looked around the room, but they never asked or listened when I tried to explain, I wasn’t all over the room with the air pods just specific areas. Anyways they responded too quickly when called, so I know they couldn’t have went in the room to look around for them. $70 later, to replace the pod, I will be sure to double check my belongs. I don’t usually lose or leave things behind. It just would have been nice if they had went to the room in an effort to look and not just respond from their routine cleanup

The WiFi is not free. It's $15/day and not transferable to multiple devices. You must pay $15/day for each device. Aside from the that the hotel is nice. If you're taking the airport shuttle, there are three different Marriott shuttles, make sure you're taking the correct one.

Nice hotel. All suites was a plus. My room wasn’t as clean as it should be. Breakfast was awesome. 32$ parking is a bit annoying. Overall I definitely liked the place, but there is room for improvement.

Giving a one primarily due to customer service at this hotel. Hotel is nice in rosemont, but how they handled a pricing discrepancy was not. I emailed the location, after I noticed the issue after I had left to catch a flight, and she was very short with me in emails about how my code wasn’t on there. I had no problem showing her I should have had a discount code, but disregarded my email until I followed up with her. It’s one thing if It only happened to me but it also happened to a coworker. My coworker was still there when she got hers resolved, but going back and forth on email and she then disregards me all together, and wanted me to do all the work. My suggestion to everyone staying here is DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU LEAVE BECAUSE THEY WILL REMOVE any codes, and charge you the full balance.

The rooms and building are fine, BUT their processes need work. They tried to bill two of our credit cards for the same room (the one presented at check-in and the other one used to make the booking.) This caused my bank to go into alert and freeze mode. Then, they tried to not give us the complimentary breakfast as indicated on our booking. -Probably won't book here again.

The hotel is nicely located near the airport, with the shuttle it makes it an easy access when your stay is airport related. However, we had issue with the shuttle - we waited for over 1h and 30 min for it. This was most likely a temporary issue (low number of driver x traffic x peak season). I am pretty sure this was just a one in life time error. The room are super nice - Our room had some quirk but nothing brutal or problematic. The cleaning staff & restaurant were fantastic they avoid a 1 star to 0 star thanks to their kindness. The breakfast was amazing and in all regards inexpensive. The very big issue and the reason we would never come back is due to the exchange we had with the manager. The Marriott website was outdated, when we kindly pointed those out to the manager... The answer was baffling "you look at the wrong hotel, look everything is normal". They had updated the website AFTER our email. When we showed them screen capture we had made... Pointing out a form of disconnects and dishonesty in their previous answer. The following answer was even more baffling, they somewhat admitted changing / updating the website recently, did not really apology and basically shut us down. This feels real rude - so I can't give them the 4* they deserved - only 2* as 1* would be mean. Enjoy your stay.

Really really nice rooms - clean, comfortable and spacious. I almost felt bad about only staying one night. It feels pretty close to a home experience - there was a mini-kitchen and comfy living area, with a bedroom on the side. Shower was easily one of the better ones I've used, hated to leave it.

Cookie cutter Marriott experience. Spacious, great rooms, but that's the best thing about the place. The service in the restaurant was ...uninterested in actually serving. For breakfast I saw my waiter once, he brought me my coffee. After that he was gone. The other one how was at front of the house was more interested in watching tv behind the bar than help guests to be sited. I also stayed at an apparent "party floor" , I could here loud talk from other rooms, people being loud in the hallway and slamming doors till about 3 am. I would stay here again for the convenience, but I would not expect an outstanding experience.

So I never write reviews ever. But I just had to write this to compliment Adam and Peter who work the PM shift. I can not tell you how much they Both went above and beyond to help me solve my issues. Professional, helpful, and kind hearted individuals who truly showcase good values and kind spirits. I'm hoping a manager sees this review and promotes these two men. They are exemplary staff and have bright career paths ahead.

The check in was on time I was there by 7 am and able to get my room, the front desk lady was on point she helped with all my questions before I asked. Also the staff in general welcomed me with a smile, additionally the CTA blue line is a couple steps away from the hotel this could be even a 5 star lodging ... except for the filthy room I guess is not cleaned very often or the details are overlooked, the shower was full of mold so I have to buy flip flops to prevent walking barefoot in the shower and the room, the toilet was literally splatter by brown stains and the side of the wall, i found something like spotting of blood on the sheets, all towels stained but one in particular with brown stuff, the sink still have beard hair from another customer, anyway i stayed two days the second night seemed like they cleaned up and the towels were changed some of the disgusting things in the shower and toilet seemed to be permanent though. I didn't bother to request to clean more or have to be changed of the room because many reasons. If I ever need to go back for more days I would definitely bring it up if I that happen again. Until then this experience was a 3 start or lower.

The room was clean and spacious. The shuttle to the airport makes getting to and from the airport so easy. There was a hotel bar and the pool and hot tub were open 24/7. I would stay again.
