Meals are made very delicious. Tender medallions. Well seasoned. Delicious drinks, and desserts are worth the calories. Great time.

Nice brunch place with a very lovely atmosphere. Got the crispy octopus, which tasted great. Would get it again as an appetizer vs an entree due to portion size. It was way smaller than expected, coulda given a few more potatoes or veggies I felt like. Left the restaurant still a bit hungry but overall would still come back to try other items on the menu.

Citrine located in Oak Park, has touches of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture photographs through out as well as hints of Ernest Hemming's wisdom Food was exquisite, service outstanding, wine selection extensive,the overall experience perfect! Great experience! Found this on OpenTable and booked a table for dinner. Space is open and welcoming. However if seated near the back wall, tables are a bit drafty. Ordered a few beers to enjoy our conversation and had our server recommend some house specials. Halibut special on top of a bed of brocolini and a sweet potato puree that is out of this world! The special shrimp risotto disappointed, as we felt it lacked flavor from being overcooked. Aside from the grated cheese and creme fresh we had to dig to find the tiniest shrimp ever, I'm sure other entrees from Citrine Cafe would aim to please. Kudos to our server and staff as they were truly spectacular. Looking forward to trying out their short rib entree and a few house cocktails.

I have to say, I've never tried crack before, but I can only assume its as good as this red sauce for the mussels. Great service. Good food, nothing to complain about!

Tasteless. For the first time in my life I requested ketchup for a steak (diane). Even the drinks were bland and watery. These people have no clue. None. Don't waste your time. Take your money somewhere else.

We always have a good experience here. The drinks are very creative and well crafted and the plates are very tasty and abundant. The place is pretty and laid back, great for a romantic evening or for drinks at the bar. Recommended.

Citrine is all around beyond a 5! The staff are not only attentive, but go above and beyond when it comes to customer service. The presentation or the food and drinks is beautiful and the flavors are perfect. The owner is kind and generous. I highly recommend visiting.

An absolutely lovely brunch with our attentive waiter. The beignets and cinnamon roll were such a nice treat to kick off brunch. I ordered the classic breakfast. Everything was delicious except for my toast which was extremely hard. That’s the only reason I gave 4/5 stars. Otherwise, a lively experience!

The servers are so knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. Parking easy. Atmosphere perfect. Great job of handling pandemic and social distancing. Also saw families with kids. Give it a try.

This was a good restaurant. We did have to return one of the filets for being overcooked, but the second attempt was much better. They octopus and the lamb sausage appetizers were fantastic, and the squid ink spaghetti was great. The filets were good, and the overall meal was good. The price point is a bit much for the atmosphere. The portions are a proper size, enough to fill you up without overserving you. I would try this place again.

This place is absolutely amazing! Their appetizers are so flavorful! I recommend the octopus and the cauliflower, and the steak frites for the entre. The food portion sizes are large enough for you to feel full but not stuffed. Here’s the dessert menu since I ddnt see it posted on their site. Maybe the desserts change every now and then but hey, here it is. The lava cake is to die for and the sorbet is super fresh! You will not regret visiting Citrine!

This place is amazing! Everything from the kind service, the amazing and fast food preparation, to the beautiful and clean atmosphere! The manager and bar manager managed to squeeze us in a few seats at the bar, and really made it as special and enjoyable of an evening for my mothers birthday. Cocktails were fantastic, and their house made limoncello was so yummy! We will definitely be back!

This was one of the best octopus meals I’ve ever tried. The only downside was that my plate only came with two tiny potatoes but otherwise it was an amazing octopus!!! Will be coming back to eat it again. Side note: the limoncello is the bomb & the service was great.

This restaurant is an exemplary example the experience you look for when going out. After our first time here we were immediately drawn back by the incredible service the intimate family environment and the stunning food. We decided that night to make another reservation for last nights wine pairing dinner at the suggestion of Stefan. It did not disappoint. The family members of the restaurant on staff providing us with an experience not to be forgotten. Not for the faint of heart but the short rib will blow you away. Not very often a restaurant is able to pull off the incredible food, incredible service, and be a very comfortable & joyous atmosphere like this. Highly recommended!

Out of our meal I thought the lamb sausage and peach tart were the best tasting. The kitchen does put out nice looking plates of food here. I ordered the short rib and I'm not exactly sure that it was a cut of short rib, but it was extremely tender. The parsnip puree and fennel salad didn't really add as much flavor as I expected and thought it was just an ok dish. The lamb bolognese was great but just a little bland. Cocktail service was a little slow the night I went and likely they were down a bartender. It was just one guy for the entire dining room and outdoor patio. He was putting out some great tasting cocktails.

Their cocktails are so good that I go into full mourning when the seasonal ones are taken off the menu and I have to say goodbye to my favorites. The bartenders are friendly. The vibe of the restaurant is lovely. The food is both delicious and interesting, I've tried things here that I haven't seen in offer other places, and it's always good. But dang. I still think about my favorite seasonal cocktails that I might never meet again.

I’ve been there a couple times with no reservation and the host always lets us choose the table we prefer since we walk in when they open which is very nice of her. Servers can start off good but loose track in the middle of our order. I’ve noticed the owner can be very rude to his employees for example the host is on the phone and he asks her multiple questions and tries talking to her while she’s on the phone with a guest that’s so rude of him and he raised his voice at her one time when she was trying to sit somebody down so she was in a hurry and he tries to take other people with no reservation when she told him there aren’t tables available outside for walk ins and he tells her to hurry up when she’s walking up to him. I tend to see the owner gets very angry easily I’ve seen while sitting at the bar waiting for a table outside that he yells at the bus boys to hurry and do their job but they can only do so much. Yes, he can go to the tables and greet properly but don’t let that fool you when it comes to his employees he’s rude. He needs to let the bus boys work at there pace because they are doing there best in busy nights and respect the host more.

The food was amazing (had the salmon, brussel sprouts and KFC). The service was impeccable and fast. The owner even came out to greet us.

We are always handled with care at Citrine. We have been there a few times and the the waiter is friendly and like "cheers" he always remembers our name. The food is basic, but good. And the drinks are great. Honestly, whats there not to to like.

Citrine is an upscale / modern / trendy Oak Park neighborhood restaurant. It’s a Mediterranean menu with some american items mixed in. Plenty of quality seafood options but you can also get, for example, a really good waygu burger. The atmosphere is nice but relaxed- not too loud or quiet and conversation-friendly. This is not an overly formal white tablecloth type of joint. Service is very friendly and attentive. Additionally, they have a great patio!

I’m a huge fan of Citrine’s food and cocktails, and both have only gotten better with age. The perfectly seasoned, inventive food pairs beautifully with their delicious (and strong) drinks. Add in the candlelight and fab interiors, and you have an awesome night out. I can’t wait to dine in as soon as we’re allowed!

Perfect for outdoor dinning/brunch. When we got to Citrine I was super hungry and had planned on ordering additional plates, but their portions are very filling, so I didnt need to, and the food tasted great.

Food was amazing. Roasted corn off the cob was great with some flavors I could quite place. Savory Pork shank perfectly cooked on grits done to perfection. Apps of Serbian sausages made in house and octopus grilled were both on point.

What a great place. The owner met me for my reservation when I first arrived. He ended up sitting with someone at a table near me a while later... when I left three hours later and walked by he asked how we liked it and said "Anthony, right?" Wow. Clearly a guy who cares about his business and the places shows it across the board.

The food and cocktails were amazing. The Hemingway Daiquiri with the luxado cherry liquor was so suprisingly great. The Risotto was solid. The Korean Rob's were great. But the service is another story. First none of the waiters even realized they had our table. Once we did make it known that probably someone should stop by our table, we thought maybe it would improve. It did not. Ordering the food was the absolute last time we saw our waiter. Someone else brought the entrees and we thought our side of brussel sprouts would come soon. It never showed up. Neither did our waiter ever again. Eventually we finished and luckily the bus boy brought our check otherwise we might still be there.
