I work here for almost 8 years now and honestly we have a good team here. Our staffs are not perfect because nobody is perfect but we do try our best to take good care of our residents. Our administrator love helping our CNAs on the floor to make sure our residents get their meals on time our Admission Coordinator is very helpful with information to make sure your love ones are well taken care of. Our housekeeper/laundry department they make sure our residents have clean room and clean linens everyday we also have a great physical therapy team here that works with our residents daily. We have some very nice happy ladies in activities that our residents love hanging out with and especially when it’s bingo day😍 Our kitchen department make sure our residents enjoy every meal and especially that hot cup of coffee. Our maintenance department always make sure our building is safe for our residents.We have some amazing nurses and CNAs in our facility they go above and beyond to make sure our residents safety always come first. This is an AMAZING community. You can tell all the staff really do care about their residents. Judy is a wonderful administrator. Rogina is great in the business office. And Kim in activities really values her residents and their opinions! Would highly recommend sending a loved one to this community

I was transferred to Optalis of Allen Park from one of our sister facilities. The staff here are very caring and always willing to go above and beyond to take care of our residents. They have excellent team work amongst each other. I am proud to be joining the team!!!!

Wonderful place. Starting with the receptionist she is very kind and she patient. The young ladies at the nursing station are kind, caring & helpful. All of the CNA's really care about the patients in the facility truthfully I've never seen anything like it. I recommend this facility to anyone needing rehabilitation after a hospital stay.

I’ve been with this building since May of 2022. Never did I think I’d be at a rehab facility but I fell in love with the building, the patients, and the staff. Optalis has brought great changes to our building and I’m excited to see what the future holds for both the staff and the residents. They’ve worked hard to bring employees better benefit’s (BCBSM) recently through open enrollment on top of ancillary benefits and honor employees vacation time from our previous owner. The morale in the building most recently has been amazing. Couldn’t be happier to be with Optalis of Allen Park!

Very disappointed with the experience my mom had here. I will say that the staff is quite nice especially the CNAs with the exception of one I encountered. My biggest issue here is the admin. Although the admissions worker and the case workers were very sweet and seemed to care, those higher up are really what's failing this place. I had made several complaints to various individuals. The Nursing Director still hasn't called me back and it wasn't until I contacted corporate did I get a reaponse from someone there. I was very frustrated with this place so my tone probably came off harsh to the administrator I spoke with who was very nice over the phone and said all the right professional things. This place absolutely failed my mom however, educating CNAs on how to prioritize a call light is not the answer. Referencing this since this was one of the resolutions they provided to me. Call lights are simply lights; they cannot verify the needs of a patient like a hospital that dial in and they cannot know in advance that one need is greater than the next, in addition they cannot walk away from a patient needing water because each patients needs are important. All call lights are important. Beef up the staff or have nurses assist more and prioritizing will not be an issue. I worked in Healthcare and although I'm not a nurse, doctor or even a medical assistant, I do know that the staff is only as good as their leadership aka managers. Give your staff the tools to succeed so that we can prevent finding patients on the floor unconscious after they complained about wanting to go the hospital. Have the answers in the patients chart that family are following up on because there is a system of checks and balances to ensure things are documented. Have an effective system in place so that nurses switching shifts can leave timely and commuincate properly. Ensure labs come back timely and accurate labs are being taken. Moving forward giving this 1 star rating because the staff is nice and caring. They mean well. PT was not all that great compared to what I have experienced my mom receive at other facilities and my mom went here for rehab. Other facilites had my mom walking in a week or 2 consistenly. This place did not take my mom to the gymn for an infection they claimed was contagious that hospital discharge said improved. Also when inquired about, no one could verify if a urine culture was done to follow up. Food was not good really but it's because of the quality. I dont recommend sending your loved one here at all because of the broken system. Update: in response to the message, I did contact Optalis. It took a week for corporate to get a message to the administrator at the Allen Park facility. The Administrator also did not know my mom was no longer a patient of the facility because she failed to review her chart.

My husband was at Optalis in Allen Park for 2 sessions the therapists were excellent, the nursing department was excellent, also. Everyone went out of their way to help us and make our stay very pleasant.

I've worked at this facility for over 24 years and there have been many ups and downs but I wouldn't have been here as long as I have if it were a terrible place to be!! The pros definitely outweigh the cons. I love spending time with the patients, it's my favorite part of my job!! My co-workers are amazing and love working with them as well!! Optalis is a great company to work for too. the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because my ADON I had years ago once told me that there is ALWAYS room for improvement and that has always stuck with me.
