Black Sheep is a staple for lunch. The subs and salads never disappoint and are always made with the freshest ingredients. Hit them up on Ritual or just drop in

La Pecora use to be my go to place. Before Covid this place had great sandwiches. They were quick and efficient. After Covid, I often receive a burnt sandwich or is just sloppily put together. I figured everyone's going through growing pains again due to the shortage in the labor force. Its now October of 2021 and if anything has happened its that the service has declined significantly. I entered 10/14 looking to purchase The Detroiter. I was notified the grill was broken and they apologized. Hey things happen, no issues. I was specifically told it will be fixed tomorrow. I return on 10/15. I entered around 11:20, I wasn't greeted until 11:30. I made my request for The Detroiter again and now was notified breakfast finished at 11. No signs are posted, the menu is all electronic, so its easy to post in the signage, or even better simply remove it after 11am. The gentlemen behind the counter has a poor attitude where you can simply tell he hates life all together. The establishment is riddled with horse flies that are landing on their meat prep area. This list can go on and on. If I could leave zero stars I would simply due to the level of decline this establishment has. For now, I would stay far away until they close down and retrain their staff and also perform a deep clean. Makes people wonder when the City of Detroit did their last health inspection.

Not sure how this place got 4.5 stars but upon my arrival both guys behind the counter were to busy to at least say be right with you as I stood there waiting. The sandwiches were just ordinary cold cut sandwiches. And the BACON!!!...OMG it was straight up raw. I would be surprised if they put any heat on there at all. Where is Jersey Mike's when you need them? Not sure how anyone would go back after the 1st visit

Very delicious lunch option in downtown Detroit. Good size for what you pay, and not busy when I was there. I had the Italiano sandwich, toasted. Good amounts of meat, fresh cheese and veggies. The house dressing on the sandwich was good. My order and my friend's orders were fine, but while we were there, the staff gave someone a sandwich instead of a salad on accident. The staff fixed it immediately and let them keep the sandwich. The staff here are good people, they care and want you to have a great experience.

This used to be my go-to lunch spot when I lived at the Whitney during my work move. The owner is great, friendly, and he remembers his regulars. I miss this spot and it is worth it for multiple visits to try the different sandwiches.

We got #15. papa georgio and #16. muffuletta. The ingredient muffuletta is a spicy olive mix and it gives a zingy kick to the sandwich. I preferred the papa georgio because it was less intense in the sour, pickle-like flavour and the moisture from the pesto, mozzarella, and tomatoes balanced the dryness of ciabatta bread better than muffuletta. The crispy sides of the ciabatta were a delight in both sandwiches. And they both came with a long quartered slice of a pickle. It was quite sour but also acted as a palate refresher. Great deli sandwiches! We'll surely come back to try other sandwiches on their menu!

I just wanted a real sub not a breakfast sub. Was told to come back when they serve lunch subs. I didn't come back. The lunch menu looked good unfortunately I couldn't have it before the alloted time.

Maybe the best restaurant in Cocles! Situated at the end of a dark, dirt road, you are transported to a 5 Star, beautifully appointed al fresco restaurant. The wait staff are attentive but not intrusive. The meals are artistically plated and delicious. This is an expensive experience by Costa Rican standards but about half what this type of dining would cost in the U.S.

The sandwiches are insanely good. The dressing they have created make these sandwiches unique. Best turkey sub I have had! They are so kind and friendly. Highly recommend!!

Had the chicken parm, was ok but nothing special. Asked for ice coffee (on the menu). But they did not have any sweeteners other than plain sugar. My wife ordered a #5, but received a #15 instead. Eventually got what she ordered. Pile of arugula on the #5 would have benefited from being lightly tossed with a vinaigrette dressing. Additional comments: use better quality meats: ie boarshead; give tap water option, buy a couple boxes of sweetener packets. If there’s an inordinate wait time, post a sign so people know before they place their order. Sandwich was haphazardly assembled. Chairs were really uncomfortable, please consider buying some sturdy wooden chairs that let you lean back. We tried this place based on good comments on Facebook since they opened a few weeks ago. Ambitious concept seems to be limited by workspace behind counter.

My experience was great up until I asked the older white male behind the counter for my food to be for to go. I understand people in the back of the restaurant tend to have less people skills. However this guy doesn’t need to interact with customers at all. His energy was repulsive because I asked for a to go container? To avoid this the cashier should ask the customer do they want their order for here or to go. Two ladies in working the register were extremely polite and friendly and so was the younger gentleman with dark hair who was helping to cook. I say avoid the older man from interacting with guests at all and this would’ve been a perfect review. The presentation of the hash had my stomach hungry!!!! I couldn’t wait to get inhale it. Lol but overall everything else was good Oh more options for cookies would be cool. Sugar, snooker doodle, oatmeal etc

Visited the new location in Farmington yesterday with my neighbor. Had gone to the Detroit location shortly after it opened and remembered how great their sandwiches were. My sandwich today was every bit as good as I remembered. Had the Napa Club and it was outstanding ! Could only eat half because the sandwich was so huge ! We were made to feel so welcome, too, and will certainly be back in the not too distant future.

The Chicken Parm sandwich. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. It was not chicken it was the cheapest, frozen chicken patty you could possibly get. Take this off your menu. You should be ashamed for serving it and especially charging over $10 for it. I honestly can not believe they would serve it. It's known as a gourmet Italian deli. Not even close. I have also had the hamboni before. It was disappointing. And many others have said "not as good as it used to be" but this was an abomination.

We got the bambino and the breakfast Reubens. Two great sandwiches and large portion for a low price. The bambino in particular was impressively delicious and filling. Service was prompt and quick. A great quick eats with noticeably great quality of meat in its sandwiches.

This is a hidden gem in Detroit. The sandwiches utilize fresh ingredients and the staff is always very professional. If you need a quick lunch that will fill you up and want something delicious, I highly recommend La Pecora Nera.

I travel to Detroit occasionally for business. I'm a born and raised New Yorker who knows what a sandwich should taste like. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend their sandwiches to anyone who's in the area. The staff is also professional and very friendly. I know where I'll be going for lunch the next time I visit Detroit.

Great deli sandwich shop. Been going there for a few years now and it's always been fresh, delicious, and had good service. Has a small dine in area. Love the original turkey sandwich.

Not just another sandwich shop. Fresh, high-quality ingredients and very reasonably priced. I was blown away by their Turkey Bella - it is outstanding and I highly recommend!

Outstanding! Great fresh ingredients (fresh mozzarella, basil) make for exceptional sandwiches. Simple menu but well executed, look forward to trying again.

This is a nice little spot on my way to work. They've improved their break over time and the sandwiches are much better now. I'm glad that Detroit can support a little sandwich shop like this. I look forward to being a regular.

Great place to come in for a delicious Italiano, freshly made Tomato Basil soup and a San Pellegrino drink. Customer service is exceptional. Covid restricted up to 5ppl. Didn't have to wait at all. Meats are all cut to order.

Wonderful breakfast shop! I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. I prefer no toppings but I kept the Mayo. If you’re not big on Mayo, ask for a small amount because they will give you a lot! I love the food, it was fresh. I will be back! I redact my statement. I won’t be coming back. Out of the two of the three very separate times I’ve been there the grill is broken! I walk to this shop and take my time to get there, so it’s a bit irritating to walk in each time to a broken grill. How can you serve hot food with a broken grill?

Nobody welcomed us when we walked in. It was 86 degrees inside. My order was supposed to be ready at 1235. I didn’t walk out with my food until 1. A gentleman came in behind me, ordered his food on the spot, and was provided his meal before me. I saw this happen with a few other orders too. Grub hub and a door dash orders were priority for them over my order even though I had already been waiting in there for 10 minutes for my order that should have been done, and the people that came in for those orders walked in after me. I came with a friend and told the lady up front we’re here for two orders that were placed. I gave her our names and she just kept working on other orders instead of ours. How does that make any sense? The staff was not prepared to handle customers efficiently and there was also no communication being provided to me about the status of my order or an apology from the lady up front for messing up on service. Instead, she and the guy in the kitchen tried to make excuses instead. My toasted sub also ended up having wax paper that stuck to it. Why am I peeling wax paper off my sub? I’d recommend using foil for toasted subs. They’ll stay warmer, crisper, and there’s no issues with the wax paper melting onto a toasted sub. There’s absolutely zero reason I would ever come back due to the level of service provided.
