Some items are better than others. I really like their burger and fries. Most dishes are pretty good from what ive had, just did not like the mac and cheese balls.

Decent diner food but prices just a little higher than I wanted to see from a diner. Fries not as crisp but overall the breakfast plates, burgers and fish tacos all good. Try coming for the special shakes! They are CRAZY (presentation, size and taste)!!

I've been coming to the Northvale Diner for years and every visit and meal is delicious! The staff is always so nice and the service is quick. A great spot for a quick meal or dinner with friends.

Decent service, only reason for 2 stars. Tacos were cold, not warm, cold. Short Rob meat was actually chilly. Manager said the other toppings chill the meat. Load of bull. Tortillas aren't warmed, taken right out of the package and fall apart. Wife got an omelette that was cold. Went there for the kids eat free, it's usually a good place. The prices have become ridiculous for the horrible food you get. Will not be going back.

They had a awesome live Jazz band and great food and the service was great we had a awesome male Spanish server that was cool. We wished we knew his name to give him proper credit.

Thank you to the Northvale Diner for the courtesy meal on Veterans Day. My family and I frequent the Diner and are always pleased with the food and the service. Today we went for breakfast and saw a sign posted that Veterans eat free. In a struggling economy, for all businesses, it was such a a great sentiment to have a local business acknowledge us on Veterans Day.

Have to admit, the salmon chipotle burger was outstanding and had such great flavors. Plus we got to sit outside, they have a small patio out back that was perfect!

The diner here is so good, they had some of the best pancakes I’ve had in a while. It’s the perfect place for brunch on the weekend and their lunch/dinner selections are good too, I love the variety!

Decent diner food, nothing spectacular. A nice clean and bright diner. The service was friendly and tables were clean. It took a bit longer than expected for our food to come out, but we enjoyed the company so it was ok.

The ONLY reason why this diner is not (5) stars is due to the fact it is a diner, a big however, the food will really make you think you are out to dinner, lunch or breakfast in a cafe. From the great appetizers, soups and entree's to the gigantic portions you receive you will NOT leave hungry and your wallet wont be light either. Great food and service at an affordable price. Do not pass up and go to some fast food place, sit and unplug from life and enjoy a diner experience.

Never been here before but found it to be really enjoyable. Good food, fair prices, solid service. Clean and roomy. Varied menu. Many things served with chips, not fries, so just be aware. Most burgers come with fries so that's a safe option. Go and enjoy...

The food, especially the pancakes were the delicious. The service could have been better.

They trimmed down their menu which is great as it's always difficult to choose from pages of options. But you would figure with less items, the food would improve somewhat but it didn't. Nothing special, just your typical average diner. The parking is great and the service was pretty good considering it's pretty busy for Sunday lunch. Not really a place I'd crave to go but a good place to have meet ups and have many options of slightly below average food.

This is our go to dinner. Nice size menu. I enjoy the salads. Pancakes are delicious. They have those crazy shakes. Staff is always so awesome. I love that they will leave a caraf of water for the table if you ask.

Friendly staff, delicious food, unique selection compared to other diners offering more of a greasy spoon atmosphere and menu. Has a nice paired down menu, but still with a ton of options. Dishes you wouldn't find at other diners but still offering the classics. Delicious burgers, sandwiches, omelets, and more. Easy check out systems as well.

Would recommend! Friendly staff. Brunch offerings. Good selection. Clean. My husband says the burger is better than a typical diner burger. They also have a Bronx Burger as a choice, so have to give 👏🏼 !

Name says it all. Perfect classic diner. You enter a time machine. It s like being back in the 50's. Live jazz on Sundays (and crowded then) Quieter during the week. Extensive menu--scratch that: HUGE menu with everything you expect from a classic diner. Including old fashioned malteds and milk shakes, Friendly, efficient service (a tad slower when crowded, but that is to be expected. Prices are reasonable for the quality and large portions. If you like diners, you will love this one.

We sat in Carlos' section & really enjoyed the service & our meals. The French fries & Pumpkin Spiced latte among our favorites! Seems family-owned, by the way were greated, which was nice.

Nice place, really is a classic diner (same as the one in Tenafly). We took two salads which were both really big. The only recommendation I have is if you are ordering a salad ask for the dressing on the side (otherwise the vegetables just "swims" inside the dressing).

Solid diner. I've been here many times and the food is consistently good. We went on a Saturday evening around dinner time and got a table right away. There are plenty of tables but it does get very busy at times especially during breakfast/lunch on weekends. Great place to go when you can't decide on a cuisine. They have everything from mozzarella sticks to Waldorf salads to burgers and gigantic milkshakes! They also have a full bar. They serve breakfast all day!

Forgive my brevity Northvale Classic Diner, you deserve a lengthy review. I'll keep it as short, and sweet as your all American Cuisine. Good food, but not greasy. Fantastic selection, some international dishes too. Alcohol, chocolate, desserts, cakes, to go, etc. Good service, and a willingness to please. Well managed. Spacious, clean, and gender specific bathrooms. Wheelchairs...I THINK there's a ramp. Adjacent parking lot. Open late (by local standards), and did I say - good food? $$ out of $$$$$. I would recommend Northvale Classic Diner!

I went to a diner for a comedy show. Quite an interesting idea and I think it worked out well. Being a New Jersey native, diners are in my blood. This diner had a bar which is always a plus. The only thing I had to eat was the burger sliders but they may have been some of the best sliders I have ever had. I can only judge the place on those for now but hopefully I can bring myself to order something different next time.
