Neat place. Really amazing maze carved into the stone. Sad they had to double fence it in. ☚ī¸ Highly suggest hiking up the hill during a cool time of the day.

A somewhat unique historical monument of a maze sketched/carved into a large boulder or rock. The rock is located just a few miles from the main highway and is just a short 1/4 mile hike from the parking area. The boulder is located behind two fences though so it is a little more difficult to see and that is really all that is out here. Only worth seeing if passing through the city of Hemet and want to make a small detour.

Great little spot for a hike. Small incline up paved road. Plenty of off trails to explore. Great views of the Valley. We took a RC crawler with us and it was perfect. Lots of rocks to climb.

This place makes for a nice short hike on pavement or longer if you decide to go down one of the unmarked dirt trails. The maze stone is about 5 - 10 min walk (depending on speed) up hill, to your right, not far off the pavement. The further up you walk, the more beautiful the views. But always look out for snakes. Have seen a couple rattlesnakes here over the years, even on the main path.

It's pretty difficult to get a solid view, but what do you expect with 2 fences surrounding it? Unfortunately, this has been tampered with in the past, hence the extra and very necessary protection around it... Overall, such a rad place to grow up near and finally check off my list!!! *Pictures taken on 6/2013

Not sure how old it is, but the defense line around the stone is of respectful quality and dimensions ;) Also, there are SO many bright flowers, especially for such a hot desert (15.Apr)!

Not a bad stroll up to the stone. The fencing is a shame but I guess if it keeps people from (idiotically) defacing something this old and unique then we'll just have to have it. Taggers have gotten to some rocks at the head of the short trail. If you like desert and a short stroll to view something pretty unique, it's well worth it. On a clear day there are some really nice scenic views.

A quick .2-.3 mile walk on an old paved road to an amazing sight! Slightly uphill. Very worth your time!!

👍👍 This place is great for all ages. First, its easy to find as the only road there ends at the preserve. Be aware that there is very limited parking so get there early. There are a few manmade ponds that are very clean and next to them are many picnic benches to enjoy a meal at. There is zero food to...
