Chips and salsa were delish. Enchiladas tapatias were good served on a fajita skillet with veggies and a side of rice, guac, and beans. Wine -$7, cocktails $13. Bottled sodas are offered at $3.99 each. Entrees average $15-18. Service was slow and we weee often waiting for our server to come check on us because we needed something.

1st time coming here. The food was good, we got the enchiladas don louis and the salmon combo with a blended strawberry marg. Everything was really good and the salsa was the perfect amount of heat. The jalapeno butter on the salmon was sooo good and cooked perfectly. The only complaint we had was that my husband's meal came out 5 minutes+ plus before mine, but not that big of a deal. I would come back.

The fish tacos were only fair. The Menudo was very good. The beans rancho were very good and well seasoned and the refried beans were good. The rice was pretty good. The service was very good. 4 plates with sodas and a 15% gratuity came our to about $90. The kitchen looked clean. The seating area was dated and slightly worn and small. I would definitely come here for lunch but It's not a place where I would bring a dinner date. The waiter did a great job. He was attentive, and we were served quickly. One last note, the hard shelled tacos were pretty good. The enchilada sauce totally missed the mark as it was more like tomato sauce that enchilada sauce.

We ate here about 4 years ago, it was decent. Just kind of forgot about it. I drove by the other day, and thought ,”maybe we should try it again “. I decided to look at the reviews, and the owner clearly can’t brush off criticism. That’s not a good sign. Many other restaurants trying to get customers. ** Homeboy wasted no time responding to my comment about him not being able to take criticism. Such a sad businessman. He has demanded that I not return. Maybe he didn’t really read about my lack of desire to return. The Medina family were much better inhabitants

Food was fantastic! It was light and full of flavor. Started with the salsa and chips... Both homemade and salsa spicy and great! House Margaritas were surprisingly delicious! For dinner, we got the grilled chicken taco salad, enchiladas tapatias, chicken taquitos, and Pollo fresco. Everything was delicious! Fresco had all fresh vegetables on it. Highly recommend this restaurant.

All we can say is so glad we stopped here wonderful Mexican food the bomb the food was served fresh off the grill. This has got to be one of the best places we have been in some time. We will definitely return. The drinks fantastic. The owner even came by our table to greet us Ernesto. The server even made my plate that was not on the menu Huaraches con camarones!

We're not from the area, we were referred by a local. The food was really tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive. Lots of parking.

We had chicken mole enchiladas, chicken taco and churros & ice cream. Everything was so delicious. I’ve had Mexican rice at a dozen different places before and never liked them. I guess it was because I didn’t eat the right thing. Their rice is light, a little chewy and filled with flavor. Love this place!

Just the rice alone was extremely good now imagine the food....yummo. And to top off, the church dessert, mind blowing.

Food was so good! We had pazole, guacamole, and chilaqiulles. I ordered more to take home. Portions were big, too! Would definitely come back... frequently :) our server was also awesome, knew the menu well and was friendly and patient.

Honestly didn't know what to expect not being from the area and the restaurant is kind of tucked away but I will say our server Jorge was outstanding. Food was on point! ( I couldn't even get a pic we demolished it so fast!) Quality mexican food for a decent price, asada, Chile verde, and carnitas were all fantastic, and portions will make you happy for sure! Great find for me, and will definitely make it a go to spot whenever I'm within 15-20 min!

Very simple menu but plenty of variety. I got the fajitas and the meat was seasoned well and tender. My friend got the chili verde pork which was also very good. Salsa was flavorful with a little kick. Would def come back. And they fill their wine glasses all the way up! My friend got a margarita which he said was awesome and they were cheap! The service was great, the 2 gentleman that worked with our table were kind and attentive.

Food is great. Kind of what youd expect from a typical mexican restaurant. Taking off 1 star due to there were 3 servers and only 6 tables with people, yet i had to walk to the kitchen area where they were hanging out at multiple times to ask for things.

The food and service were excellent. I had lunch there, and the atmosphere was adequate for lunch. The price reflects the quality of the food. It's great!!! I had the Carne Asada and Enchilada combo with camarones. This was served with guacamole, Spanish rice, and beans with a Pico de Gallo salsa.

If you're in Riverside, California and looking for delicious Mexican food, Habanero Mexican Grill is definitely worth checking out! I recently had the pleasure of trying some of their dishes, including the Chilaquiles, Puerco en Salsa Verde, and Enchiladas, and I was blown away by the flavors. The Chilaquiles were the perfect combination of crispy and saucy, with just the right amount of heat to give it a kick. The Puerco en Salsa Verde was tender and flavorful, with a tangy green sauce that complemented the meat perfectly. And the Enchiladas were filled with a rich and savory mix of cheese and meat, topped with a mouthwatering red sauce. But it's not just the food that makes Habanero Mexican Grill stand out. The service was excellent, with friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. The atmosphere was also cozy and inviting, with colorful decor that made me feel like I was dining in Mexico.

This place was good. There is a good variety to choose from, so It wants you to come back to try more. The layout is also nice. I have got the combination plate of 2 enchiladas with beef. Which tasted good. Just wish they served a little more rice with the beans. However, overall, it was a good experience. Staff is friendly. Nice to have small family owned restaurants like this in the city.

Met the owner. Really nice people! Great food. Clean family environment with Hail rental adjacent to the building that is available for rent. Good was pleasingly displayed, everything was fresh and meat was tender and properly marinated. I will definitely return.

It's rare that I'm really impressed with Mexican food, simply because there is so much of it in our area, but this place has impressed my girl and I twice now. The food is delicious, so good. As a bonus, even though they were really busy the food came out promptly and service was great. Can't wait to come back.

Wonderful staff and great food. Large portions, you will not leave unsatisfied. Order a burrito, and you’ll have enough for 2 or 3 meals. Those puppies are stuffed. I especially like the salmon plates. The sauce is great and plentiful. I love the salsa, but it does get a bit spicy if I gobble it up fast. And be sure to order the ice cream and churros, you won’t be disappointed. I wouldn’t complain if you folks decided to open maybe 15 - 30 minutes earlier so I can have a bit more time before having to go to get ready for work. Also, please update the hours on the website. Googled “Best Mexican food in Riverside” and this was top of the list. And it didn’t disappoint. All our meals were huge and first rate and the margaritas were 💯 Glad we came. Lovely staff too. Stuffed and happy

This is my go to Mexican restaurant! For those who care, the rice is as close to homemade as I've had at any restaurant. The salmon and shrimp combo is delectable. The Mexican street tacos with asada are great! I love that the salsa is a little spicy, unlike most "authentic" Mexican restaurants around. I have not had anything here that I would not order again. Love this place!

Chicken pozole was so good and our meal was excellent. Will definitely come back.

I really enjoyed eating there. The prices were average and reasonable. I had mole enchiladas the mole was great but the chicken was salty. All other guest with me enjoyed there food.

Habanero is great! We were excited to find a place with great salsa and the entrées were also delicious. While the menu is simple, it was still authentic and tasty. Plus, it made it easier for an indecisive person like myself to order. To top it off, our waiter was incredibly polite. Give them a try if you haven't already!
