The food was horrible. The service was terrible. He didn't even greet us. The guy at the restaurant was having an attitude. He was asking us to order even before we are ready. We ordered assorted appetizers, it had a black hardened potatoes. The chicken pakora, the batter smelled really bad. It was rotten as if it was made couple days ago. The Chicken seekh Kabob, the onion was rotten, and so as the chicken. The karahi chicken was uncooked as well as the onion was rotten. What kind of restaurant is this if the guys do not know how to behave with the customer. This place should shutdown.

My dad took our family out here for all you can eat. They told us they do not have all you can eat. Its a sign posted on the front of the restaurant and website, false advertisement. We wanted to leave but the lady was trying to charge us and was being snotty to my mom. She was very rude and had an atitude. There was no one to put water in are cups. Service was poor, food did not taste very good, watered down very bland. Waste of our time and money. Don't come here you will be extremely disappointed.

We ran across this place and decided to try it and glad we did. This place is definitely one of our favorite so far. We liked the fact that we were seated right away. Customer service was great. Everyone was friendly and courteous. They checked on us several times to make sure if we needed anything. The place was wasn't as busy, thank goodness, but we did see that they had a lot of to-go orders. The place was nice and relaxing. They had tv screens with music videos for entertainment. What stood out and is the most important was the food! We tried their garlic chicken (if you're a garlic lover, you'll like this) and their bhindi masala (okra). I never liked okra before until I tasted this dish. They gave us a choice and asked how spicy we wanted the food. We don't like hot/ spicy dishes so we asked for mild and it was wonderful. It was mild, but very flavorful. We also tried their gulab jamun dessert (it's like a warm donut in a sweet syrup ). Food was excellent! I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. Update: We came back during lunch and they have a lunch special for $12.95 that has curry chicken, chicken masala, saag paneer (homemade cheese & creamed spinach), garlic naan (it's like a pita bread), and gulab jamun (dessert). All of this for 1 price. Love it.

I must statert by saying that this place has FALSE ADVIRETISEMENT on there website and outside on there windows. I am pregnant and had a strong craving for indian food since yesterday and let me tell you after today I dont see indian food the same. They used to be great at there other location with there all you can eat and better service. I got up and told the lady to cancel the order that we would pay for the water they have served us and she made a rude facial expression and said "the food is ready,. If you leave your going to have to pay for the plates". Keep in mind she wanted is to pay for the food we HAVENT recieved yet and she was still serving and getting them ready. SMH😡. The flavot of the food was blant and no actual spice or kick. Chicken curry tasted disgusting I wanted to throw up bad and watered down -and from my understanding curry or masala supposed to be nice and semi thick with a kick of spice. Chicken Tika Masala which is supposed to be there #1 dish had absolute no flavor either. The rest of the food was just dissapointing overall. Lady kept lagging on getting water refills especially when its 113 degree weather and thirst rises. Definately not worth $70 for so called "Lunch Special". Wont be returning to this place anymore.

It’s $18.5 for lunch buffet. Not many varieties overall in the buffet. Would not come again. It didn’t have goat meat nor lamb, no biryani, no pickles, no chai, one sweets variety, etc. For meat lovers, you’ll be very disappointed. The buffet had only two chicken dishes. The two lacked spices and flavor, it was very bland. Very disappointed. On the other hand, vegan dishes were better. Had good spices and flavor. The Naan was very good.

Don’t go here if you want to be FED or respected as a customer. We went in to grab some lunch at 12:30pm. A very nice gentleman said hello to us and proceeded to take us to one of the many empty tables. As we were about to sit down, a lady came out from the back and said that they are not taking orders and to come back in the EVENING. Once again, there were many empty tables in the restaurant so we were surprised to be denied service. On top of that, the lady was extremely condescending and rude. I’ve never seen a business turn away customers in a half empty restaurant. It would have been nice if they offered some sort of alternative such as taking the food to go. Also, it’s not like the restaurant takes reservations so how are you going to say that you are full to capacity when you’ve only been open one hour and half the restaurant is empty.

I walked in not really knowing what and how to order. As soon as I walked in a young man helped me with the questions I had and seated me with a beautiful menu. I placed my order and waited about 20 mins wich is ok because I know this is not a fast food place, My order was "to go" but I wish I could of ate there because it's so nicely decorated and the atmosphere is relaxing. When I got home I opened my order and everything was hot fresh & delicious. It was my first time eating Indian food and i loved it. Will be back with friends and family for sure ..

Worst service , if I could give zero I would have given that. We reached at 9:00 pm and restaurant was open. It showed the illuminated sign as OPEN. Now the person at counter telling me we are closed. I asked the signs still says OPEN then he replied from today we have started closing at 9:00 pm and forgot to flip the sign. No courtesy and laughing. I had tried to call in advance just to make sure the timings. No body picked the call and after that it was engaged. I have never seen such response.

I don’t know why I keep trying this restaurant. I’ve never had a good experience. Food is mediocre. Ordering for pick up is always much much later than promised. People who work there are unapologetic. It’s in a sketchy area, so waiting for your food feels risky. Oh, I remember why I come here. There aren’t really any other Indian options, so you’re kind of stuck with this place. Bleh.

Lunch buffet is available again! All the food was quite delicious. Both vegetarians and non-vegetarians are satisfied. I enjoyed six types of curry (chicken, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, dal makhani, veg korma, aloo gobi), pakora, tandoor chicken, two types of dessert (carrot and rice pudding), salad and fruit. Served garlic naan was also great. In addition, the ethnic interior improved my appetite. The price was $18.50, which was reasonable for the food quality. I believe that Punjab Palace is the best Indian restaurant in Riverside and would like to revisit.

We ended up here on a random whim for dinner. We used to come for the lunch buffet but I think that went away after covid. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we first got there, with their TVs blaring their Indian music shows. We ordered the chicken Tikka Masada, the chicken korma, the tandoori garlic shrimp, alongside the cheese filled naan. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. The one thing though is that they never asked us if we wanted to get any beverages and seemed bothered when we asked for to go containers for our leftovers as well as asking for another order of Naan to go as well (it never came). The leftover veggies from the garlic shrimp made delicious egg/breakfast tacos by the way! Definitely recommend the chicken Tikka masala!

I recently had fish pakora, Aloo Gobi, lentil soup, and Mango Lassi. While the rice was nicely cooked and fluffy, I found the other dishes to be somewhat underwhelming. The fish pakora seemed like it had been prepared in advance and was not crispy, but instead chewy and tough. Some of the skins were too tough to eat. The Aloo Gobi lacked the flavor that I was hoping for, and the lentil soup was overly salty. The Mango Lassi was alright, but it tasted more like it was made from mango juice than real mango. Although I am not an expert in Indian cuisine, I have tried other restaurants in the Riverside area that offer better-tasting food. As a result, I am unlikely to return to this restaurant.

Fantastic food. This is a real hidden gem for the quality of their food. The only problem is the service. They're so good, and so in demand, that their service is very subpar. Don't bother trying to call in an order, they regularly ignore the phone or answer and hang up. Ordering to take out can also take a long time. We've sat and waited 20 minutes AFTER the time we were told, only to find that out order was sitting, bagged and ready to go already. Their food IS the best though. It's why we keep coming back. This place could be one if the best restaurants in Riverside if they ramped up their service.

Quite possibly the best Indian food I've ever had. Great service. The incense was a touch strong, but we got used to it after a couple of minutes. We will definitely be going back!

Punjab Palace has moved. Although their buffet is closed due to COVID, their menu items are delicious. Only complaint was there wasn't enough bread.

I wanna start off by saying that I'm a very picky eater and I only like to eat my own food however this cuisine was really good it was so And have my toes curling and I just wanted more it had a spice to it that went away and made your mouth just water to more.. The owner greeting was was a personal effect which I take in consideration when I do go to a warm cozy restaurant. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and trust me the quality is very goodI would recommend this place to those who want to try something Different It is truly a chef behind those walls..

Good/very good Northern Indian restaurant. Price is fair, amount of food is reasonable and dine in experience is good !!! Not quite as good as it was 2-3 years ago, but many restaurants are cutting costs by reducing quality and or quantity of food, while trying to stay in business. I get it !!!
