We ended up here after visiting the Mission Christmas lights. Not impressed with the lights at the Mission. However, we were walking around the area and found this place. The chicken and pork tamales were quite delicious. Moist. Very tasty. I LOVED the beans and rice. Just like I would make at home. Very tasty. Although the Mission Christmas lights were a loss IMHO, this restaurant made the night.

Disappointed. This is the vegetarian tamale. It should have roasted corn, peppers and cheese. It's literally nothing but masa. When you're building a tamale you can see with your own two eyes what you're stuffing it with. They still sold this knowing it was nothing but masa, so they are knowingly ripping off their customers. The masa was disgustingly sweet also, like dessert sweet. Tamale Factory used to be good years and years ago. Will never be back, grocery store tamales have better flavor and actually have stuff inside.

Tamales are super moist and flavorful! Pozole has so much flavor! You won't want to share! The Chile verde sauce is so good too!!!

Excellent food. Restaurant is a lot bigger then from what it looks outside. Food was delicious and served quickly. Staff was extremely nice and courteous. Definitely coming back.

Hired this company to host an event almost a year ago. The event center was aesthetically pleasing. The acoustics were terrible. The staff underserved the guests and changed the menu without consulting us. Staff was seen packing left over food and taking it away in cars after telling the guests there was no more food. Tapas and appetizer sized portions. Would never recommend this place. Deceptive practices at the very least.

I was looking forward to eating some tasty tamales but I was disappointed with the dry chicken inside of the tamales. Maybe I just had a bad batch. I will definitely revisit☺️

A wonderful place in downtown Riverside. The food is always fresh and very tasty. I've tried almost everything on the menu and loved all of it. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Always save room for dessert because this place has the absolute best Flan!

Decided to stop for brunch and ordered the 2 tamale plate with rice and beans. Husband order green chilaquiles that came with potatoes and beans. The chilaquiles was basically a layered casserole of tortillas and you had a choice of red or green sauce. I selected the pork and sweet corn tamale. The pork tamale was tender pork and the masa was pretty soft. The corn tamale was sweet and tasted good but the masa was not as soft as the pork tamale. Loved the spinach pineapple Aqua Fresca and the service was great. I don’t think I would come again since you have to pay for parking on mission street. The food was good but not great.

The restaurant is located to the adjacent west of the Mission Inn Hotel. Paid street and garages parking available. Limited selection of breakfast available . The manchaca breakfast burrito was quite big and tasty. Chicken and pork tamales are available after 9:30am. They was good and tasty but not much meat inside. If credits card is used, there is a 4% surcharge.

Loved this place. I was hanging out in the area for three weeks. It easily became our favorite restaurant around here. All of the employees are great.

Nice hacienda vibe but food was terrible. The tamales were not fluffy and they were literally just masa. Pozole was very oily and lacked flavor. This is not authentic Mexican food. Los tamales estan duros y son de pura masa. El pozole esta grasoso y sin sabor.

Finally made it down to The Tamale Factory to have a typical Mexican meal of tamales for the Christmas season. Being a single senior, I was very much looking forward to this meal. However, to my disappointment, the restaurant was not serving its usual fare. It chose to sell batches of tamales, only...no sit down meals..none of which meets the needs of a sole person in search of a comforting holiday meal. New Years Eve...Decided to give The Tamale Factory a second try. I even called in to assure the regular menu portions were being served. Response, yes, but only pork tamales available...and closing at 2 pm. Well, sabotaged again, I arrived at 1:30 planning on getting a to go meal, and doors were locked with no sign of life inside. Guess their business is thriving, so no need to keep regular hours. Okay, 3rd time was a charm...got the pork tamale meal. I chose the black beans & Spanish rice, with red sauce on my tamale. Their variety of sauces and beans allows you to customize to your individual taste. Plus, you can choose to top the tamale with onion, cilantro, and sour cream drizzle. I found the entire meal tasty & pleasing. The tamale was anemic, meat-wise. There was more masa than filling. Overall, each item complimented the other, and it would have only been more gratifying, had the Tamale contained considerably more pork.

The food is always over the top, always made to order and always piping hot. When ever we are in the area, either going the the nearby farmers market or the historic Mission Inn we have to stop on and have the best Mexican dishes you can find, especially the tamales !

The food is cafeteria style serving so you can completely customize your order. My tamales were piping hot and moist. My rice and beans were authentically cooked and we had an fresh homemade spinach pineapple juice. This place had a cute patio with twinkle lights and an overall instagram worry ambiance.

The staff was very friendly. This meal cost me about 15 bucks including a drink. The tamale was small and cost about 5, the flavor was okay. The rice was delicious and the side salad was like any other normal salad. The customer service was great.

Jesse, thank you. You helped us select and the choices were fantastically delicious. Making this food the old fashioned way stands out. We look forward to coming back again & again. Staying open until 3 pm helps too.

Save yourself the disappointment. These are not authentic. I ordered the rajas tamales the masa was sweet, it had corn in it smdh, barely any noticeable Chile and the cheese no where to be found. Overpriced. I don’t mind paying for quality but these are not the business, HARD PASS! Next!

Menudo & 1 Pork in Red Salsa Tamal - The menudo was really good. I do have to say that it is not as good as my bebes menudo. It had great flavor and MOST important. It did not have the infamous Menudo smell. - The tamal was really good. Very well cooked and great flavor. It does not have a dry taste and it has a more than decent amount of meat and sauce. They also provide sauce on the side. The sauce had a little Corunda flavor to it. It was delicious. Price - at first it seems expensive. But all servings are more than decent. You will definitely get ur moneys worth. Going the extra mile - I asked for serrano pepers and chef went to the back and got some for me. This was awesome. Down side - the menudo can use a bit more meat.

Had roasted bell pepper quesadilla was very good. My wife had their chilaquiles which was very good. She asked for spicy and received spicy. Update: they no longer have the spicy sauce. Also went feom roasted potatoes to a overly cripsy hash brown.

We had the red and green chilaquiles they were both good. I liked the green ones better. We ordered a quesadilla for our daughter and it was also good a large. The horchata was delicious you can taste the rice very authentic. It was our first time there and we will be returning soon.

Came to celebrate moms birthday in December and this is where we had food! Loved the food and enjoyed the atmosphere. Had a great seat next to the window and got to see all the beautiful lights!

This place is how should I put it… NOT authentic. The food was just ok. If only they had a REALLY good actually spicy salsa it would save the food for us San Diegans who are used to great Mexican food. 🥲
