First time here and will definitely be our last. First we asked no olives or mushrooms because our son has allergies. Seems like we asked for extra. My son could not eat it. My wife and I ate literally 1 slice each and we got food poisoning. To be fair the taste was good when I did eat it.

Food is very mediocre. Drinks are meh at best . Food took over 1 hours to come out. Service is literally none existing. I literally hade to flag someone down to get attention. Now I understand why the downtown riverside location closed down. Should of walked out the bill, it's not like I'm coming back Here again.

Empty on a Saturday night should of been the red flag to leave this place. I was craving Chicago deep dish pizza for weeks now. I live in riverside so I wanted to find a local spot. Very disappointed with the service, and most of all the pizza, not well balanced. The pepperoni lacked flavor, I've had Chicago pizza before and this was the least of my favorites.

While the wait times could be a bit long (you're likely better off calling an order in early for takeout) the taste and quality of the food is outstanding. Had a Chicago deep dish with mushrooms and pepperoni, easily in my top 10 pizzas I've ever had. Are they a bit pricey? Yeah. Will you wait a while to get your food? Yeah. Is it worth it? From my experience, yes. I will be coming back when I'm in the mood for deep dish! Wish I could give 4.5 stars, because that is my rating. A very solid pizza place!

Known of Romano's for a long time, just never had the chance to go there. Went there to watch football and it was very comfortable and easy to watch. I enjoyed myself very much and look forward to my next visit.

Waitress was nice. Otherwise, Bad service and food. Dishes were brought out one at a time and took about 2 hours overall. They had to heat up the pizza since it got cold waiting on other dishes, then they burned the pizza. Food and drink orders were incorrect. Mandatory gratuity and around 150 bucks for a few drinks, burnt pizza and soggy salad. Good reminder that this place is only good for drinks.

The salad was fresh and amazing. The lunch sized lasagna was hot and fresh! I really enjoyed my food and the great service from rachel. I will definitely be back. The price point and options for the lunch specials were great and a huge attraction for me. Awesome job Romano's, keep up the great quality.

My network of friends and co-workers have frequented Romano's as our favorite dinner/happy hour spot for many years. We had a special event planned for a retirement celebration on 12/1/22. We had previously made reservations for our large party (30+) as per the instructions from a server that we inquired with from a previous visit. When we arrived the day of the event, the Manager was very rude. It was a cold day and we were told that none of us can go inside. We explained that some may want to sit inside due to the weather but were told again that our party was not allowed. She embarrassed our group by kicking our group outside in a very condescending manner. We were treated like we had the plague and could not be inside because the area was for people that wanted to watch football. First of all, there are many in our party that also watch football and wanted to line dance that night. After hearing about our fiasco upon arrival, many of our party hesitated to go inside to watch the game and line dance in fear of being shooed away by the Manager again. Sadly, throughout the course of the night, when using the restroom, we could clearly see that a lot of the tables were empty, that could have easily accommodated our group inside. Since when does a bar kick paying customers out?????? Just didn't make sense that night and still doesn't two weeks later. Especially on a cold night!!! When we asked to speak to a manager, Rachel told us that she was the manager. With 30+ people in our party, we continued to contribute our hard working money with Romano's since we like to support local businesses. Apparently the manager for this location doesn't appreciate the business or doesn't want to work (not sure which it is). Either way with 30+ people, many drinks and food ordered, why would any business shun their customers away like this. I am sadly disappointed in the service by Rachel and feel that if she continues to make us and other customers feel unwelcomed, that she will single handedly drive this business to the ground. We easily dropped at least a couple thousand dollars to host our event at this establishment. We and other patrons of this bar/restaurant should be treated as a customer, not as scum of the earth. This experience has made our large networking group of co-workers and friends think about looking at other small businesses to support. I hope the owner Mr. Gary Romano is made aware of how his business is being poorly handled by their manager , Rachel. Despite us being unable to move our party to another location, in light of this bad experience, our server (Delaney, I believe), did treat us well and her service was great! Another note, is at the end of the day, we were given a slip to sign for our charges, but never received a breakdown to verify that we were charged correctly. This also appears to be shady and wasn't taken well by those in our party nor with others that shared the same sentiment that we had just met that evening in the smoking area. Hope this establishment takes this review into consideration for positive changes, so we and many others can feel good about visiting what we used to feel was our favorite happy hour/celebration spot.

Never had Chicago style pizza before and this place has definitely set the bar. Slices were massive enough that just one was filling and the had the mushroom bruschetta and prosciutto bombs that were also delicious. Lots of beers to choose from. I had a blood orange craft beer and my sister had one that was pomegranate flavored. Something for everyone's palate!

Salad not high quality, cheap dressing. Place was unkept and understaffed. Waiter was experienced and professional even though he was only waiter there during day.

We love this place. We go there 3-4 times a month. The severs/bartenders know our order by heart. The staff is friendly and fun. The food is great too. I have yet to have a bad meal there. Try the Bad Bad Leroy Brown pizza it's delicious.

It was nice to try the Chicago Style pizza and the service and atmosphere was nice, but I wish the price point was a little better. I got it to go and it was quite a drive, I'm sure it's better fresher. So if you don't live near by i suggest eating there to get the full 'experience', if it's your first time trying Chicago Style pizza.

The food was mediocre at best, started out with Bruschetta and it was flavorless no salt and had no bite to it didn't taste any garlic and tomatoes taste old. then we ordered their famous Chicago style pizza and the crust taste like it was frozen and stale, the cheese wasn't that good either, however the pizza sauce was pretty good but over all the food was pretty tasteless. The atmosphere is probably the only good thing about this place.

Onion rings were soft. Order a vegetarian and pepperoni, both thin crust. Both were a little greasy and kinda doughy, could’ve been in the oven a little bit longer. It’s probably been about five years since last time I was here, so i gave it another chance. I think I’m done with the place..

Great deep dish pizza. Loved it for years. Pricey but it's so thick, one slice is like 3. They used to have specials for team parties, i don't know if they still do.

Love their sandwiches, but so disappointed. $112 for 4 sandwiches, pizza, & salad. Sandwiches were so small, not what we normally get. Not even that many fries in the box. I usually eat half, it was so small I ate the whole thing. Not worth the price, sad day. The rolls use to be huge. 😞

Last night we had an itch for a "Premium Deep Dish Pizza" and decided to support a local establishment in Riverside CA by Googling and found Romano's Chicago Pizzeria, Mission Grove Riverside CA. Hoping to enjoy a premium, authentic quality deep dish, prepared and baked to order deep dish pizza pie considering and selecting the "CHICAGO PIE x 1, LARGE STUFFED 14 in" for $37.00 + tax $40,24 total.. Upon opening our pizza box after a 55 min wait we witnessed and sampled arguably the worst pizza I've ever eaten, coast to coast. The rock hard, obviously pre-fabbed, inedible, possibly frozen crust cupping the overly acidic, thick paste like sauce (tasted like jar spaghetti sauce) w/ the as advertised artichokes, spinach and not yet melted, cold cheese layer at the bottom. For $40.00!!! I'd expect this poor quality product from Domino's or Pizza Hut but that's why we selected a premium restaurant like Romano's. Not worth 1/3 of the $40 price I'm afraid! DO BETTER!

We went to the bar area to have drinks before our movie. Drinks were good but the service could have been better. The bartender took my order then walked away imstead of asking my boyfriend if he wanted anything. We decided to just leave after that. Other then that was all good.
