Absolutely best undon noodle ever. why all the bad reviews... well my experience was fantastic. customer service was warm and polite. I bought the chicken dashi undon and it was like a hugg in my mouth every time I took a bite. will definitely be back for MORE "

Good food but not sure it was worth waiting over 25 minutes for it... Everyone has their food from other restaurants before me and we're mostly done eating. I understand good food is worth the wait... But it is so up like a cool food truck but with the wait of a sit down restaurant. If your willing to wait for ramen, it could be worth it for you.

Customer service was great, food was not. The lady working there was really nice, but our food had very little protein and way too much rice. We ordered the chicken curry which the curry was too salty for our taste. Same with the Teriyaki salmon. We didn't wait for too long.

SoHo ramen is one of many food spots located at the Food Lab Riverside. Here for an anime convention, this 12 seated counter spot( can fit 12 but only has 7 seats) has a selection of ramen, rice noodles, bento and more. I got the Tonkotsu charshu pork ramen(standard basic ramen I review at all ramen spots). Broth felt a bit watered down, not as creamy. Simple egg, noodles wasn't hot, the charshu was steamed, less charred but above average. Too much bamboo shoots and spinach was okay. It's not really a family style spot, they make everything in a to go. Gotta ask for chopsticks as well. I don't know why you would give out untensils for ramen, when everyone was asking for it. First ramen spot out of the San Diego area and even thought it's fulfilling, I'm guessing SoHo main business would be the bento boxes. Nice art around the SoHo sign though. Glad to try just for lunch. Maybe there might e another ramen spot around? Idk, back to SD for now. Arigato Gozimasu.

Not a traditional Japanese Ramen and rice! High price but not Japanese food which should be served. Don't try if you wanna try Japanese food. The pic is my order. The pork rice was just few slice of pork belly, little corn and veg on rice.

Well, in hindsight I wish I had looked at reviews prior to ordering. It was my first time at the Food Lab and I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. Service was good, but man, what a bummer of a meal. Protein and egg wasn’t bad, but the broth tasted diluted and lacked everything you’d expect in a good bowl of tonkotsu. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I ordered the taro milk tea and the Thai Beef Lettuce Wraps. The tea had no flavor and the lettuce wraps are easily the worst thing I've had at the food lab. For $10 the meat looked unappetizing, it was hard, dry and had no flavor. I waited 40 minutes for this food and I wish that I canceled my order when I first thought about it. It's sad because I normally like this place but I cant see myself giving them money again for a long time.

Might as well just cook instant ramen at home, lol. Tried eating here twice and both times were pretty awful. Ramen is really not that great. The next time I tried the salmon teriyaki bowl, and it was so salty I had to stop eating it.

Very watered down ramen, ordered the vegan creamy ramen. Owners if you want to know how to make vegan ramen, go to the one in melrose please or sawtelle in Los Angeles. Instead of having a 100 things on their menu, they should pick fewer items, but with higher quality.

The chicken gyoza was good. Just wished it wasn’t so oily 😅🥲. These tasted so much like chicken egg rolls. The order came with sauce and a fortune cookie. This costed $6.95 + tax = $7.56

Got beef bulgogi bowl. Tiniest pieces of bulgogi I’ve ever had, both in USA and in South Korea. And very little meat. Taste is alright but wayyyy too pricey for such a tiny portion.

It's hard to compliment this place. Food took really long. Unreasonably long. Several other guests wanted refunds and started shouting at the cashier. She was really nice and patient, but it seems management has not given her the tools to refund guests or do her job, so it made the experience doubly uncomfortable. When it finally came, beef skewers were dry and tasted microwaved, ramen was nothing to write home about, fried chicken was dry, tasteless, and chewy, also seemed reheated.

Bulgogi bowl was horrible. Over seasoned completely shredded and hard to find with in the bowl. I had to mix it in with the rice to try and make it work so that it could be half way decent but it just didn’t work. I tried I really did but I couldn’t finish it. I threw it away and ordered from a different place. Never again

I asked for chicken katsu ramen, but they didn’t know what that is. I look at their menu and it says breaded chicken ramen. I knew immediately that their breaded chicken ramen would be terrible. I still considered giving it a try and unfortunately I was right. The breaded chicken was hard and fell miles below any other chicken ramen that I have had in other places. I will not be coming back here again.

Disgusting. The vegetable croquettes were just fried mashed potatoes, the veggies were badly cooked, and the miso soup was very bad. Don’t recommend at all + the waiter knew nothing about the menue and the items in.

Cleanliness not there. I waited over 25 minutes for my food at these dirty tables they haven’t cleaned it in a while bc the sauce was drying up. I could see my food just sitting there for a while waiting to get bagged up & when I went to get it & give the girl the buzzer she put my drink down on the counter away from where I was standing like you couldn’t just hand me my drink & food? Food ok , my first time at the food lab & the other places looked good probably should’ve read the reviews

Ordered the Omnipork Yakisoba and the bao buns. Very disappointing. The noodle dish was so bland, only flavor came from the omnipork, but was not enough to save it. One piece of broccoli, and very little else as far as veggies. Again, shocked at how flavorless this was. Bao buns were not at all tasty, had the consistency of a marshmallow. I was looking forward to eating here, but it was not worth $31. Ended up throwing out the buns. Can’t recommend.

If I could give zero stars I would! First of all the service was absolutely horrible. I walked up and asked for a description of the tonkotsu ramen because the menu on top of them didn’t have anything but the name. She rudely just pointed to the menu that was on the counter and as I was reading it she walked away to have a seat and when i was ready I looked up, we made eye contact and she remained seated. Another girl came up and asked if I was ready and i said yes and I have her my order, she was rude too and just didn’t have good customer service. ALSO, while I was waiting for my food the first girl was just scratching her hair and picking at it the whole time it was disgusting!!! To top it all off the ramen was so mid I’d never come back here or recommend it to anyone.

Came to the Christmas lights in riverside with a group of friends, walking about ended up in this restaurants area, after looking around decided to take a to go order for mom she wanted the shrimp fried rice, line was 2 people waiting to order they seemed annoyed of waiting but mom wanted shrimp f.r no worries waiting waiting, the lady behind the counter was abit rude to the girls in front took the order they go off, guy who was next walks up she literally walked away as the poor guy was ordering some older worker dude took his order 3 minutes later, i waited finally told them my order, waited 20+ for that to go to be ready. Long story short mom said rice was dry and not very good at all, when i told her the price she said that’s insane🤣 well it is what it is. 1 of the worst food spots I’ve had the disappointing chance to waste $ at. sincerely just don’t waste your money or more importantly TIME waiting for rude bad food service.

The food here is literally like the picture I took. I don’t often call food trash but here we go. I got the bbq eel bento and I can say it is the worst bento I have had. Just a small portion of unagi for the worst and driest tasting rice. No flavour. The boiled veggies were so soft with a terrible sauce. The Wakame salad was brutal, side of soup is zero taste. Lowest standard they have for serving Asian food and they charge you $16.95 before tax. My gf bought the pork teriyaki bento and it was the worse. We threw most of it away. Don’t come here!

The vegan yakisoba is great! Flavorful and fresh vegetables always. Vegetable gyoza and egg rolls are crispy and full of flavor. The appetizers are packaged in a foil lined box. Helps keep them crispy!

First time eating here. The customer service was awesome. The girl explained what everything was and showed us pictures. The food was so tasty. The food came out in a timely manner. Hands down great food and service.

Not sure why there’s so much hate, had the pork bao buns and the chicken curry rice bowl which was very similar to a katsu. Both were super tasty. Guy working the front was nice enough.

I'm no expert worth ramen, but this tasted not much better than Top Ramen worth fresh spinach. The half egg looked like it was prepared sometime this morning (I visited at 10pm). The noodles were super pasty. The fortune cookie was good.

I asked for a new ramen order without touching my seafood ramen, I didn't ask what was inside, that was my bad. I was hoping for fish. I continued to eat through it, getting rid of the clam and shrimp. The broth was too incredibly salted. I couldn't finish.

Great food and great portions! Very fresh. I'm glad we tried them and will be back. If you don't want to wait then order ahead. Everything really does appear to be made fresh to order (delicious), and there is nowhere to sit in inside, but that is out of their control. They are situated in the food lab and with covid, seating is outside. Hopefully that will change coming soon!

Frequent local, it is my go-to. I've never had a bad experience, despite the wait times. -Omni-Pork Yakisoba is always steaming -Chicken Fried Rice has amazing flavor -Vegan Bao Buns are a staple in all of my orders

This place honestly deserves a zero for false advertisement! I went yesterday for my birthday and it was just horrible. So I ordered two simple dishes. Chicken teriyaki bowl and shrimp yakisoba noodles. It was still EARLY mind you, around 8:15 p.m. when we ordered. For the next half hour we literally STOOD there and watched EVERYONE who ordered well after us get their order FIRST. I asked what is the deal " ten minute's" is all I heard. The girl then leaves our watered down tea's on the counter and she said we were next. Well 9:15 rolls around and we finally get our order.I was disgusted not only to find that my food was Luke warm at best, but the shrimp was rubberized, and the rice overcooked and chicken bland. They should be ashamed of that yakisoba noodles. I lived in Japan for two long year's and that was NOT YAKISOBA. I will never eat here again, overpriced and extremely overrated.

I have zero complaints about Soho Ramen. It's actually one of my favorite restaurants in Riverside. Their vegan bento boxes, vegan ramen, and seaweed salad are absolutely delicious. Not to mention, they have a lot of employees working and have always gotten our orders out quickly and accurately.

So I order Bao and I got bao tacos? It was a lot thicker then I expected. It was plain flavor but the dough kind takes of the flavor. I then ordered chashu rice and It also had no flavor, then what I’m used to but it’s was okay. The egg rolls where the best.

This place sucked. I ordered the salmon teriyaki box. The soup was absolutely flavorless like water and the salmon tasted like smoked lox dipped in sugar gel. I generously asked for a partial refund because I had choked down the soup and was willing to be fair about that. The owner refused and insisted I order something else. I reluctantly ordered shrimp fried rice. He refused to make that because he said the price of shrimp (and salmon) were high. Frankly I didn't want another dish because if they messed up my first order, they'd more than likely mess up the next. I tried to sympathize with him saying I understand inventory costs. I pleaded again for a refund. He demanded that I get chicken fried rice instead. I politely told him that I wanted seafood, that's why I orders salmon. He refused again. I said "well look, either I get a refund or you can make me something I want". He stewed a while while a line formed. He eventually huffed and puffed and made another dish. Skip this spot.

Staying at the Mission Inn for a workshop and stumbled across this place inside Riverside Food Lab. After 2 circuits of the establishment, I decided to get ramen since it was cold today. OMG! Delicious tan tan men ramen! I need to go back and try some more places!

Came in the day before Thanksgiving and got a calamari bento meal and got food poisoning. Spent all Thanksgiving puking and sleeping. This meal was the only one my wife and I didn’t share so that’s how I was able to determine it was this restaurant. Staff all looked really young so it may have been inexperience.
