Palmgren Acupuncture is the BEST! I first scheduled an appointment after I'd had a high BP reading that took me by surprise. Lynn compassionately worked with me to develop a course of treatment. Under her care, the issue naturally resolved within a matter of weeks. Visits to Lynn/ Palmgren are now a regular part of my self-care routine. These visits have helped tremendously to keep me balanced, grounded, and feeling good! Lynn is never pushy about supplements or herbs, though she will recommend them (and I have found mine to be tremendously helpful!) Additionally, Lynn and the entire staff work have worked hard to keep the facility safe and spotless for everyone during the pandemic. I trust and adore Palmgren Acupuncture and would recommend it to anyone!

I woke up one morning with a pinched nerve in my shoulder/back that would not heal on its own. On recommendation from a friend, I decided to try acupuncture for the first time at Palmgren. Lynn was thoughtful and compassionate about the level of pain I was experiencing, and led a detailed and thorough consultation, taking tons of notes. I came in for a handful of sessions, and each time I was honestly impressed and amazed at how we were able to get me to a place where I could sleep at night and sit at my desk job during the day. I'm extremely thankful for the relief and care, and would not hesitate to return for future pain management needs. I was skeptical (for me) that acupuncture/cupping would help, but it really, really did. The office is quiet, peaceful, clean, and the everyone was masked, which I really appreciate. The treatment rooms are comfortable and comforting. The whole staff made everything feel easy.

I had leg pain that was interfering with normal activities and interrupting my sleep. I tried physical therapy and steroid treatments. The next step was an epidural. That is when tried Palmgren Acupuncture. I had relief after one appointment! They are very thorough at Palmgren. Nick assessed my range of motion in my leg and determined the issues.He explained the problem and he recommended exercises that I can do at home to help. My response to acupuncture made the epidural unnecessary. Nick is knowledgable and he has a lot of experience. I highly recommend Palmgren Acupuncture.

When I first walked into Palmgren Acupuncture, I didn’t know what to expect. I’d been suffering from depression and anxiety and also had strange pains that would come and go. I took a chance and was greeted with kindness. Covid protocols were on point. They took my temperature and asked a few questions. Their rooms are very clean and very soothing. Staff is fully masked. I worked with Tahnee- who shares the same name as my cat 🐈 Tawny! 😄. Right then I knew I was at the right place. Tahnee was very empathetic and understanding of the stress and trauma that I’d been going through considering I’d experienced 5 passings of loved ones within a matter of months. The grief was too strong. I knew I needed something to pull me through this extremely tough time. I’d only done acupuncture once before and remembered the first time I cried. No need to worry though, needles are very sterile & tiny and really not painful at all, a slight poke and you’re set. The crying is from the balancing of your Qi. I was very unbalanced and needed to purge a lot of grief. It can be an intense experience. After my 2nd treatment I noticed I wasn’t feeling as depressed. My depression started elevating and I was able to cope better. I’d been having aches and pains around my head and having strange inner ear pain, that also cleared up after my 2nd treatment. I am now going on my 5th treatment and am feeling free from pain and depression. They now are working on an herbal formula for my specific needs. I am very grateful & impressed with my progress. Highly recommend to anyone that truly needs healing from within.

I went to Palmgren Acupuncture for a chronic shoulder strain that did not improve with conventional physical therapy. I had never before pursued acupuncture treatment but was desperate for some relief. I met with Lynn. She listened, asked appropriate questions and developed a plan of treatment and it worked! I had suffered from chronic back pain and TMJD since my teenage years. The pain waxed and waned but was always there. I had tried many modalities of healthcare over the years in the search for relief. Acupuncture had been helpful in the past at bringing extreme pain down to tolerable pain, so when I had a flare this past winter, I found Lynn and Kholood from Palmgren Acupuncture. After 5-6 sessions, my pain was just GONE. Like GONE gone. Now, a couple months later and still pain free, I'm still in shock. Palmgren Acupuncture in Oak Park! I would highly recommend! I have been going here since they moved in. I have been to many places prior to going to Palmgren...Palmgren is at the top of my list. I would highly recommend coming here. My health has improved two-fold! There are no words to fully describe how much they have helped me. Lynn and Nick are amazing!
