Love the energy here, it has a real family-run restaurant vibe. The lady hosting and talking orders is a little gem. We ordered the prawn dumplings, steam dim sum, special fried rice with chicken and black pepper beef, all were really good, dumplings were great. Next time might be a dumplings only visit to sample more dumplings! Indoor and outdoor dining and restaurant has no issue packing up leftovers to take home. Sizes are quite generous, that’s for sure. Street parking available along King Street, free for up to 2 hrs now courtesy of council which is great.

Sign of a good Asian restaurant is seeing how busy it gets during peak hour and this place hustles! Conveniently located across the road from Enmore Theatre this is our go-to place for dumplings when we are in the area for a show. Its a venue worth trying if you love "soupy dumplings" especially on a cold Winter's night. Well priced menu and they serve alcohol if you wish to have a drink or 5 with dinner, the restaurant isn't overly big so make sure you get in early as the queue can be extensive during peak dinner time. Overall a nice casual place to dine if you feel like Asian comfort food that offers family run business feels 👍

Amazing so so yummy 😮‍💨 Can’t rate it highly enough the atmosphere is spot on. We came with a group of 11 friends, it was Byo which is always fun and we shared a bunch of dishes between us. We will be back. Must have the pork buns and prawn hargow…. I don’t know what they are doing back there but 👌 perfect

I'm surprised that one of the staff expressed her mood so directly. Yeah. She looks exhausted. We asked for one more small bowl for soy sauce, but she repeated in masked face that there were no small bowls left as they had already been given out. Finally, she smiled at the counter, adding 1 dollar as a surcharge.

Really felt like Chinese today, and decided to not go local for a change, & try this place out before taking my friends there. When the staff member approached me at the table I smiled warmly saying hi 🙂; in return I received a blank expression, with no warmth, no friendly hospitality. I did not feel welcome. When the staff member came back to take my order, I smiled warmly thanking them (I can't help it, such a response comes naturally or so I thought). Again, I was responded to with the same blank expression, no warmth or hospitality. I did not feel welcome. The food was nice, fresh and a good portion, and the beer cold which was great🥰. The place looks nice too 🙂. After my lunch, I went to pay my bill at the counter, displaying my credit card in my hand ready to pay. At the counter, the same staff member looked at me mentioning something about paying cash (evidently credit card payments were accepted as there was signage regarding the fee beside me on the counter, which I was happy to pay; as well, the credit card machine was sitting right next to the staff member's hand behind the counter). I was confused by the suggestion or request, which one I was uncertain. The staff member reiterated a cash payment, despite displaying my credit card ready to pay; I did not understand, this did not make sense. This exchange was confusing and uncomfortable so I just paid by cash (luckily I brought it today) so I could just get out of there. I definitely won't be taking friends there, nor go there again myself; but will go locally where the food is great, and the welcome (which isn't that difficult to achieve) inviting and hospitable.

Delicious eggplant dumplings (fried) and soupy pork buns — would absolutely return for these two items and to try more. For only 3 dollars each, you can bring your own alcohol, too! All of this in addition to friendly service made for an awesome experience :)

we had the pan fried pork and chives dumplings, soupy dumplings and chilli fried potatoes and they were all amazing. almost as good as dintaifung’s i must say. service however, may need to improve and be friendlier to customers. will be back fr the dumplings again but would suggest avoid peak hours as the place could get super busy and crowded that everyone literally sounded like they were screaming at one another which was pretty unpleasant.

For a mum and dad Chinese and having Dumpling Master as your business name, we expected so much better. The price to quality was quite average and woke up this morning with Beijing Belly. Ordered the dumplings, mapo tofu, salad, chilli chicken - unfortunately none that stood out.

You don't go to CDM for the service, although it's kinda charming in its own way. You go for the value for money and the tasty food. Definitely recommend the special braised eggplant - but everything on the menu is delightful. The place is always buzzing, even when Newtown/Enmore is dead so sit outside if you want to hear one another without shouting.

Everything is delightful! We had dumplings, soupy pork bun, braised eggplant, noodles, calamari and some drinks. They are all absolutely delicious and well priced. Although busy during peak hour, the staff are all friendly and efficient. Really good experience! Insanely recommended.

The menus provided were clearly dirty. There was a baby cockroach on the wall beside us. The food was very underwhelming. While the service was quick, the chicken dumplings lacked flavour. The fried rice was very bland and the calamari were clearly frozen and lacking any flavour. Very disappointing experience.
