I have never left a negative review before, but I was very disappointed with my appointment yesterday with Dr Ritu. She was over an hour late, and after asking the medications I was on in the first minute of my appointment she told me "wow, that's a lot of medications for a 30 year old". After telling her the medication I started taking for hair loss, she explained that it doesn't work, but couldn't talk to me about other solutions during this appointment, because my referral was for a different issue, even though I was spending $295 and waited over an hour for her. She told me I would have to book a new appointment to discuss that. I will be looking for a different dermatologist.

Dr Gupta seems friendly when you meet her but just wait until she causes you permanent scarring. She will gaslight you, ask her nurses to gaslight you and call you a troll. I seriously would be more understanding if she had just been more honest with what was happening. Dr Gupta is always trying to upsell, make more money and anyone who has seen her knows she would make a follow up appointment wherever possible. It was when she said I didn't need a follow up even though the original plan was 5 x laser treatment that I knew there was definitely a problem. There was a nice young nurse who worked with the others and she looked concerned. The others smirked and said things like " redness after a shower is normal isn't it?" Ok what about redness in the shape of the laser when not after a shower? It just gets extremely red after a shower. What about pain on the skin when putting on moisturiser? My skin used to be relatively healthy just with some minor acne scarring, which Gupta was optimistic we could probably remove altogether. She increased the strength of the laser in my second session. 2 years later and I have symptoms akin to rosacea as a result. It is the impact on my mental health of being gaslit that has really upset me. Every day I wake up, look in the mirror and curse.

I had a 1:30pm appointment time, and was still waiting to be seen at 2:15pm. No one apologised for her running late, no one rang me beforehand to let me know she was running late. Zero respect for other people's time. A friend also went there and had a 9:30am booking. They had double booked that time slot, so she was made to wait also.

My experience with Ritu Gupta was extremely disappointing. I had booked an early morning appointment to ensure I could attend work meetings promptly. However, I ended up waiting for over an hour without any acknowledgment or apology for the delay. The consultation itself felt rushed and lacked the thoroughness I expected. To make matters worse, I was informed that I needed to return for an additional session costing $1.5k+, which I would have considered if there had been even basic respect for my time and courtesy in our interactions. I deeply regret not checking reviews before scheduling my consultation. It appears that my experience aligns with those of other clients. I strongly urge Ms. Gupta to take these criticisms seriously and improve her professionalism and service quality.

I would like to thank Dr Ritu Gupta and the Platinum Dermatology team for helping prevent further pimples and improving my skin to a level it hasn’t been in a long time. Basic primary level skincare just didn’t do the job that Dr Ritu Gupta and the team were able to successfully do very efficiently, for one of the many conditions that they treat.

I've read some less favorable reviews, and I believe clear communication is key. Dr. Ritu has never brushed off any of my concerns and always follows up post-care, even offering free consultations for specific issues in person. I can't wait to visit Platinum Dermatology again soon. Dr. Ritu and her team have not only improved my skin but also my quality of life. They have a client for life in me, and I'm genuinely grateful for their care.
