Super unfriendly staff, we came back after an earlier complaint. We didn't get the room we agreed on earlier and the room we got had a broken air-conditioning. This couldn't be fixed during our 3 day stay, this was told immediately and we couldn't get another room. No apologies were made and no effort to make it up to us. We just left but will not come back.......(To the owner, why would we come back? We came back after an earlier complaint and this time it was even worse, we left 1 hour after checking in... answering this review and not in person is not making it better.)

cons: The food at the restaurant is the worst I have eaten in a long time. just pre-packaged stuff heated. even the parmesan just comes in a little plastic wrapper. Unfortunately the prices are those of normal restaurants, where you get great service and freshly prepared food. Staff is not very forthcoming. The building is pretty old and a lot could be renovated. The wifi is incredibly slow and it costs quite a lot to get "normal" internet speed. when you log into the wifi, it says you can get a code at the reception for free premium wifi, but at the reception you'll be told it doesn't work. No fridge. Weird tissue box rather than proper toilet paper pros: Breakfast is OK, but limited and always the same. Hotel is really close to the city. Some rooms have a bath tub. Some rooms have a balcony. Free coffee/hot chocolate machine

Perfect layout just outside the city. Good breakfast not too much too little. Parking great also for tall vehicles. Rooms great nice showers but can do with a coffee. Negative: WiFi is horrible. Sorry the login is annoying and logs out after a while. Very random. Used my hotspot so I feel like I paid too much for the stay. Usually I'm not a complainer I did enjoy my stay. Thanks 😊

Pleasant hotel in a very green area with friendly personnel. We arrived later than expected due to a misreading of La Louvière and Louvain. Dinner was already over but they made some fresh pizza's instead. Breakfast was good despite missing some alternative options. We enjoyed it.

Nice hotel. Good location but a star is removed because of no kettle in the superior room. Come on guys even the most basic hotel should have a kettle.

Basic room but plentiful hot water a bath and a balcony. Must update to have Aircon in all rooms. Food fantastic. Great choice. Lovely facilities. Local town is stunning with plenty to do including the Herge museum. An 8 minute walk away. Would be 5 stars if our room had aircon

The hotel itself was par. The cons of this hotel: There’s no water, coffee, or tea in the rooms. No shampoo either. No ironing boards in the rooms- only in the hallway, which was weird. There was construction going on, so not much fresh air in the room because the balcony was closed off. It was somewhat cramped for my taste. On the positive notes: the surroundings were gorgeous! It was easy to go for a walk or run into the forest. Beautiful nature to enjoy. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. There was coffee, tea, and water available, but it was downstairs. The employees were very kind and accommodating. Reasonably priced. Close to town and shopping, but still private and quiet. Overall, I would have given the hotel 3 stars but the nature and environment deserves 5 stars.

Good budget hotel. Room was basic and dated but fine for one night. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was surprisingly good with a nice room and good food selection. Staff were very friendly. There was a coffee machine in the hallway but it was broken. Visited April 2022.

We liked our stay here, the hotel is off the centre, but not too far to walk, and the walk is in a lovely park. Beds are comfy, every thing is clean and allthough the bathroom is a bit old, it is very clean! There is free coffee/tea in a small lounge, and personel are very nice.

It is very nice hotel comparing with the price. The service is excellent. The only thing I don't really like is the taste of the food in their restaurant. Probably because I'm not really familiar with the food. I'm from Asia, so it's a bit complicated with the taste there. They provide coffee machine and tea that you can take it as free. They provide gym, small sauna, pingpong table, and even autopet. The room size quite ok for me. They don't provide drink water in your room, but you can take it in the first floor. Their location near the campus area where you can find cheap food, shops, and mall. Just ask to the reception and they will give you a map, it takes about 15 mins to go to city by walk. The breakfast is quite good also, but they serve the same menu everyday.

** NO AIR CONDITIONING** 1 star is only because the ‘standard’ rooms do NOT have air conditioning and this is not made clear on the website. Standard rooms are very basic and in need of updating. They have a small portable fan and very good black out blinds but it just doesn’t cut it as you can’t sleep due heat in summer. They had availability on some of the days of my stay for me to upgrade to their superior rooms which are perfect, they have air-con, are modern and are what I would expect for the price. Unfortunately as I ‘upgraded’ to a superior room for 2 nights of my stay (superior rooms fully booked after that) at an extra €20 euro a night they didn’t then honour the original Expedia rate and when I went back to the standard room for the remaining stay I was charged a different way more expensive rate (+€100 per night on top of original price- this was not mentioned when I upgraded). Positives - the superior rooms are fine for a short stay, the staff are really nice, breakfast is ok for a short stay and the surrounding area and Forrest is beautiful and great for a walk/run. The university town is new and lacks character compared to Brussels but has ample restaurants and bars and only a short 5-10 min walk. If they updated the rooms and were clear there was no aircon I would have booked a superior room and had a much more pleasant stay.

Erm well. Very good breakfast, let’s start with that. BUT- a very advanced and therefore slow coffee machine means massive queues. Also, rooms: yes, fine and clean. But only one little package of water? Who is your manager, Ebenezer Scrooge? Plus, and this is a big one. When i was here five years ago i had to have my room key re-initialised THREE times. This visit, only once so only a slight improvement. End of the story: fine to spend a night but not longer.
