My stay at this hotel was unfortunately a disappointment. My room was in a deplorable condition - filled with mold, dust and broken furniture. My partner and I did not use the faucet(s), as we were scared to get ill. When I asked for a compensation, the staff refused and simply dismissed it as the room's natural aging. This is far from acceptable for the price I paid for a 4 star hotel of Van der Valk. I would strongly discourage others from staying here.

I had to get a new room because the first one smelled like an ashtray. The second room had an air-conditioning that was out of order. This made the room uncomfortably hot. The furnishings are very old and used. It was shabby and dirty. There was mold in the bathroom. The selction at the breakfast is very pooor. The bacon was cold as were the sausages.

The hotel rooms are a good size and clean but a little outdated. The buffet breakfast was good. The staff are helpful and friendly. The location is about a 15/20 min walk from town. The rooms were so noisy and I never got a good nights sleep. One night at 1am, there were teenagers racing up and down the corridor and another morning at 5am, there was some sort of lorry unloaded outside the window. Noises from both the window and door woke me up consistently and my quality of sleep was very bad on all 3 week nights.

Clean hotel. Expensive restaurant. Terrible cold room as heating system is not working. Service was not able to fix the problem, they offered extra blanket😂

It is not clean. The bed is not clean, the bathroom with hair other guests. Rooms are empty and not cozy. Not Van der Valk name worth.

Rooms are the same the last 10 years I visit this hotel. Excellent restaurant excellent food..

I came for their new Sunday brunch. Worth the booking.

I stayed for a night during a 2-day business trip. Ended up in a ground floor room in an adjacent building. But there were one or two annoyances that I experienced that I would assume aren't the regular service. The Good: - Fairly spacious rooms, quite comfortable. - front of house team are very friendly and professional. - Building grounds are quite nice outside - Quiet at night The Bad: - Hotel Internet connection was terrible, I ended up hotspotting due to not getting more than 1 bar of signal. Wasn't expecting this to be quite so unusable. - Restaurant Closed due to an apparent techical fault and I was turned away pretty rudely. Kind of awkward as other people were sitting down eating but perhaps it had only just happened. No explanation really. Ended up having to get dinner delivered after some hunting around local places that were still open.

Great stay in this upmarket hotel build from part of a sugar factory Rooms are very comfortable indeed and for the money outstanding Impressive hotel dining room too. Old brick arch ceiling harks back to its industrial days. The hotel designers have scored a massive hit with this stylish dining area Breakfast was outstanding and one of the best in its range. English sausages and bacon would make it 10/10!! One point lost for tiny chipolatas with a taste of garlic!! Side bar was equally stylish and everything has much to be recommended. Staff so helpful and welcoming. A must for a return stay.

Big and tidy rooms. Breakfast was good and courtyard next to the hotel is wery nice.

I was received by a friendly receptionist. The room was quite big but old fashioned. It was very clean. I specially liked the thick curtains which blocked the light perfectly in the morning. It was quiet until my neighbour decided to take a shower at 7am. There is a coffee machine and a water boiler in the room. In the bathroom you will find shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, etc. And of course towels. The parking didn’t seem to be spacious. Out of the season and on a midweek I could park without a problem. Though the entrance was a bit difficult to find as it was dark. I guess there were parking places for other companies as well.

Excellent hotel, extremely friendly staff and very easy to communicate with. The breakfast was superb and we had fresh towels every day which was a bonus. Restaurant/Room service was great too. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

Comfy and quiet room. Restaurant has a great breakfast. WiFi is included.

Very nice hotel, clean, tidy and good value for money

Furniture quite old, especially the bathrooms . During the day there is not a big choice. Dinner is good (quality and appearance) but limited choice. it is a quiet place, service is kind and supportive.

Very comfortable hotel, close to the highway and not far from the center. Room quite big and clean! Always smiling personnel. Large free private parking. Did not try restaurant or bar, breakfast was ok.
