I
want
to
mention
from
the
beginning
that
this
review
is
not
addressed
to
the
entire
staff
of
this
hospital,
but
only
to
the
medical
personnel
with
whom
I
interacted.
It
was
my
only
"visit"
to
this
hospital
in
the
last
10
years
and
it
was
execrable,
I
will
never
step
foot
here
again
in
this
life.
My
father
arrived
at
the
UPU
after
an
operation
at
a
private
hospital,
he
was
taken
over
by
the
doctor
on
duty
and
investigated
all
night,
the
conclusion
being
that
he
has
nothing
cardiological.
The
next
day,
following
an
inconclusive
CT
scan,
the
surgeon
Dumitru
Vlad
informed
me
that
my
father
has
a
liquid
in
the
abdominal
cavity
and
that
he
recommends
an
exploratory
laparotomy
"to
be
covered
on
medical
grounds".
Yes,
those
were
exactly
the
doctor's
words.
The
recommendation
was
made
based
again
on
an
inconclusive
CT,
and
this
procedure
is
a
highly
invasive
one,
which
required
a
general
anesthesia
less
than
24
hours
after
a
partial
anesthesia
on
a
70-year-old
patient.
I
refused
the
intervention
and
I
did
well.
As
a
parenthesis,
in
other
countries
laparotomy
has
not
been
practiced
for
years,
in
favor
of
other
minimally
invasive
exploratory
methods.
After
this
"experience"
with
this
"surgeon",
my
father
being
admitted
to
the
cardiology
ward,
the
doctor
on
duty
Diana
Ivanov
started
yelling
at
me
in
front
of
the
patient,
reproaching
me
for
refusing
the
intervention,
and
telling
me
that
my
father
mine
will
die
if
I
refuse
the
intervention.
Well,
two
months
have
passed
since
then
and
the
patient
is
in
good
health
at
home,
gentlemen,
without
any
fluid
in
the
abdominal
cavity.
After
this
experience,
I
talked
with
two
nationally
renowned
doctors
and
both
told
me
that
if
I
had
accepted
that
laparotomy,
my
father
probably
would
not
have
been
alive.
I
don't
think
a
doctor
should
yell
at
the
patient
for
any
reason,
and
especially
in
front
of
the
patient!
Shame
on
you,
Mrs.
Doctor
Ivanov!
Have
you
ever
thought
about
what
the
patient
felt
in
those
moments
when
you
told
me
that
he
would
die
if
he
refused
the
intervention,
a
recommendation
made
by
a
doctor
based
on
an
aberrant
CT
and
who
probably
felt
like
cutting
that
day
and
didn't
have
the
who?
You
only
think
that
the
patient
will
die
on
your
watch
and
that
you
probably
should
have
given
explanations.
When
you
took
the
oath,
you
assumed
a
responsibility
that
you
then
run
away
from,
tearing
the
earth!
All
in
all,
a
bad
experience,
not
to
mention
that
the
nurses
leave
the
hospital
in
the
slippers
they
wear
to
the
salons,
cross
the
street
to
the
shops,
and
then
take
all
the
mess
to
the
hospital.
And
then
we
complain
that
we
have
infections
in
the
hospital,
bacteria
and
other
problems.
Mr.
manager,
don't
you
see
these
aspects?
In
conclusion,
I
sadly
note
the
fact
that
during
the
two
days
I
visited
the
hospital,
at
the
morgue
I
always
saw
hearses
waiting
to
pick
up
the
deceased,
a
sign
that
probably
other
patients
end
up
tragically
in
the
hands
of
incompetent
doctors.
