(First take away the 1 star and leave 0) Worst possible experience with the ER, 11 hours of waiting and absolutely nothing was done. Took my 19 month old in to recieve fluids for low glucose and dehydration. Wait in the waiting room for over 4 hours. After complaining, we leave and get a call that a room was being cleaned for her. We made the wrong decision to decide to go back. Get a room, and STILL wait hours for someone to even acknowledge we were there. My daughter couldn't even stay awake, and she never even received the fluids that we went there for. After being asked if I wanted her admitted or transferred, of course I requested a transfer and was told she was 'going to make a few calls.' After waiting over TWO hours again in the room, another nurse comes back in with DISCHARGE PAPERS saying they're discharging my daughter without even properly giving her the treatment she needed. This ER is a complete joke, and has absolutely no idea when it comes to pediatrics. Absolutely no reason for someone to wait in a hospital for 11 hours, barley get acknowledged, and discharge a child while they're dehydrated. From personal experience, drive the extra hour if you can, if you can wait hours on end to barley be seen and not even get the proper treatment. THE ABSOLUTE WORST MEDICAL CARE, ESPECIALLY WHEN DEALING WITH A CHILD. (The exception of 2 nurses that seemed like they cared) I would like to thank the Janitor, for being the only person to come in the room and ask my daughter if she would like a blanket. At least someone showed some compassion.

I am beyond outraged. I went to the hospital because my blood pressure was very high. When I arrived my reading was 177/100. Naturally, I am concerned and triggered. I understand this is the emergency room, and it's priority of who gets seen. But this hospital is clearly in need of staff. I was in the waiting room for 5 hours!!! And not one nurse bothered to check my blood pressure. That's all I wanted until I was able to be seen. Then after all of that, here's the real kicker I was never seen. I could not wait any longer. I left.... I was so triggered I had to get out of there. My anxiety was becoming too overwhelming. No matter how many times you change the hospital name, it's still a very poorly run hospital. So now I get to wait until morning to go to urgent care. Go to Emporia or Rocky Mount, God forbid it's an emergency. BUILD A NEW HOSPITAL. Lord knows we don't need a Biscuitville . BUILD A NEW HOSPITAL!!! BUILD A NEW HOSPITAL, BULID A NEW HOSPITAL!!! STOP WITH THE RESTAURANTS, LAST THING ROANOKE RAPIDS NEEDS. So I don't want to hear about funds..... UNACCEPTABLE!!!! FIX THE PROBLEM....

I haven't been here in 3 years, bc before ECU bought it. It was like a clinic...But let me tell you ECU North is great! Roanoke Rapids has a terrible case of the flu. It's everywhere, literally. The staff here is working very hard to make sure we get the medical attention we need. Whoever is running this hospital. KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!!! I've lived here all my life and it has been a long time since I've received care like this.

They almost killed my brother in law, so there's that. They won't prescribe antibiotics but will hand out percocets unnecessarily. This hospital is filthy. I don't blame the EVS staff, there's just not enough of them. Patient care and cleanliness certainly don't appear to be a priority here. They don't treat the staff very well, either.

We were from out of town staying in Lake Gaston NC when my father in law fell and had to have stitches. This was the closest hospital. So I drove him 1/2 hour away. Being in Emergency Medicine for over thirty years. I can truly say for a small hospital they provided outstanding care for him. Yes the wait from door to discharge was about four hours but that is the norm now. He was not a Trauma and only required some test. The staff was very friendly, courteous and kind. Don’t judge a hospital based on their reviews. If it had been a critical care need I have no doubt he would have had the Best care.

Save yourself some time and drive hours to any other hospital. You’ll wait that long to be seen anyway. I went in for a corneal scratch and the dr came in to examine and said he was leaving to get eyedrops and disappeared. Prior to that a nurse was bringing eye drops. Also disappearing. No one came back for two hours. They eventually numbed my eye for exam and had to redo it three times as it wore off waiting for anyone to return. There was puke all over the public restroom floor. Told staff. Didn’t care and left it there. This place is gross. The staff was disconnected and didn’t care at all. I would be embarrassed to work here. What a disgrace to healthcare.

This review is directly for Ty from radiology. She’s amazing. I hate hospitals as it is and she made me feel comfortable. Really great woman and nurse/ radiologist idk the proper term haha but she’s good at what she does and deserves recognition.

I wasn't sure if I was here with my loved one or had gotten hired as Custodian. The need to Clorox the Ants and smack Gnats all night had me more exhausted than helpinh to assist the Patient. But Yes I will wear the mask. Why tho. We can change our name repeatedly but the service will remain the same.. Signed: A bothered Patient and hwe overnight guest.

Healthcare requires a delicate balance of patience, courtesy, respect and compassion. Obviously this hospital does not screen for such when hiring. Sierra in ER Outpatient Registration could not have been more rude. Customer service and dealing with unhealthy patients is not her strongest point.

Don’t expect to receive any fast service over here at the ER. I have been waiting 8 hours and I haven’t seen a doctor yet. I would recommend going elsewhere if you’re able to. This place sucks. The only positive is the staff I seen were nice!

My father was treated at this hospital about a week ago and the nurses that cared for him were exceptional. Although I hate the Covid restrictions this hospital has in place, I do understand. It was a bit frustrating though because I had no clue what was happen with my father for 3 hours. He arrived by ambulance and I was not allowed to go back with him as I arrived the same time the ambulance did. But overall I was satisfied with the care my Father received.

My husband has been here for 4 days. If it weren't for the nurses and CNA's I would be taking him out of here. I have never been in such a dirty hospital. 4 days and his room has never been cleaned. Walking the halls his hospital socks are so dirty from the dirty floors. This may be an old hospital but that is no reason. For it not being clean. He can't take a shower because the shower is broken on his floor. This makes me so sad.

My son went to the hospital yesterday at 8pm. At 5am in the morning he was still there. That is ridiculous. He wasn’t even in the back at 3am. I understand being short staffed but this is beyond pathetic. I would not advise anyone to go there. I am done with this hospital. On top of that it didn’t seem that packed. That is slow. They need more staff. I would have left there and came home.

86 year old Mother waited 9 hours in Emergency Waiting Room last week and was never treated. Doctor sent her to ER as a possible Stroke Victim. My sister finally just took her home. In bad shape today, refusing return to the hospital.

The paramedics, nurses, doctors, and respiratory therapists at this facility were very polite and knowledgeable. My symptoms were addressed promptly and I was feeling much better when I left.

The staff took great care of my mom when she had her surgery yesterday and her nurse was awesome!! Stayed with her the whole time last night and didn’t leave until this morning. She stayed after her shift with my mom.

This has to be the absolute worst health care facility my family has ever experienced. I'm not sure how the Physicians can diagnose someone without a physical examination. He also stated I'll test you for " Such & such" because it sounds like something I had. They should not be allowed to operate. This is our 2nd experience with this "medical facility" because I'm not comfortable with calling it a hospital. FYI I had to leave 1 star to leave a review.
