This review is LONG overdue. Cleve...words can barely reach the level of depth you need to in order to describe Cleve. We took 1 tour with him, based off of a review I read on a forum, and this was perhaps the most memorable decision while in Roatan. Taking an "island tour" is like going out to fast food and getting a burger. Taking a tour with Cleve however, is like having a 5 course meal at one of the best places in town. Cleve is an amazing person, and I realize that I am talking more about Cleve than the tour itself, and that is because at the end of his tour you are left with an amazing experience that is just as much about the story of a truly unique individual as you are about a truly unique island. Lets just say that when our friends, or anyone we know comes to Roatan, we will strongly recommend that a tour with Cleve is a "must do" activity. I look forward to returning to the island and seeing what is up to and hearing more stories. Cleve, you keep up that energy brother, the world needs more people like you!

We have been to and visited a lot of different islands, while having many different guides...NO ONE compares to Cleve. He is an amazing individual who cares to give each family member a unique and "REAL" look at his island. His love of his people is awesome. We had Cleve first guide us in 2019 and couldn't wait to visit again. Finally made it back yesterday and Cleve reminded us why we love him and Roatan. Please don't look anywhere else. My wife and I had the pleasure of taking an island tour with Cleve. It was the highlight of our trip! Cleve’s knowledge of the island is unmatched. He exudes the love of his island through his storytelling and all of the interactions he had with friends we came across on the island. His testimonial is powerful and we left this tour with an appreciation for the island, culture and people that call this place home. We have tried to describe this tour to our children when we got home but it’s hard to describe unless you experience it yourself. Cleve has nearly 1,300 five star trip advisor reviews for a reason. Our day on Roatan, Honduras with Cleve’s Tours & Adventures was nothing short of perfection. Cleve met us at the cruise port with the biggest smile I have ever seen and with energy that was off the charts! (He was easy to pick out from the group of tour guides awaiting the cruise ship as he was the only one BOUNCING with joy!) Our day together felt less like an “on-your-right-and-on-your-left” tour and more like a terrific ride around the island with our best friend. Cleve has (and shared) a wealth of knowledge about the cultures, history, educational system, who’s who, economics, environment & cuisine of Roatan. He also shared very openly about his life and how he came to be what we whole-heartedly believe is the best tour guide in Roatan. While with Cleve we stopped to enjoy time with the sloths & monkeys which was an amazing treat we had been looking forward to for quite some time. The sloths were a lot softer than I imagined and it was fun “being their tree” for a few minutes. The monkeys were like little kids jumping from person to person and investigating our hair, glasses and what we might have left in our pockets! The last stop on our animal adventure was with the large beautiful birds … they give quite the scalp massage! Cleve also connected us with Captain Alex who took us on a boat tour through the mangroves and showed us an amazingly beautiful community living on the water. Alex gave us an amazing perspective of the history of this area. One highlight of our day was when we stopped for lunch at a roadside stand across from where Cleve’s mama works. He treated us to pastelitos and maracuya as well as cookies made by one of the locals. Every bite was delicious. This was not “resort food” … this was true authentic Roatan cuisine! We were very impressed that Cleve’s tour did not just take us to the prettiest and fanciest places on the island … he showed us everything. Had we taken a run-of-the-mill cruise line tour we know that they would have skipped many of the places that we saw. However, because of how much Cleve included on his tour, we feel that we really SAW Roatan. He drew back the curtain and showed us the real island which is amazing in all respects. After a little shopping time it was sadly time to return to our cruise ship … but we made one last stop that made our hearts happy … Cleve took us to his home to meet his 3 boys Jeremiah, Joseph & Joshua! They are amazing kids who are growing up with their father as a strong role model. Each of the boys was respectful and was happy to share their knowledge of their home island as well. It was so nice to see how proud Cleve is of his sons too! This was the first time we have ever been sad to return to our cruise ship. We wish we had more time to spend exploring and enjoying Roatan. After hugs goodbye with our new family member (I always wanted a brother!) we committed that we will be back … next time to stay longer and have more fun together. If you are reading this review … BOOK WITH CLEVE …. You will not regret it one bit. He is a special guy, living in a special place, with a special gift of human connection. Cheers!

What a great way to see Roatan. A beautiful island in many ways. Cleve's tours introduces you to the culture of the island. Our ship arrived an hour and a half late, but our driver Angelo was waiting patiently for us at the port. He took us to several places, providing us with great views of the harbor, beaches and of course the crystal clear blue water of the Caribbean Sea. Along the way we added another guide, Adrian who was just delightful. We went to see Monkies and Sloths, all included in the pay-one-price tour. Such a fantastic time, we only wish we had more time to explore, a second day with Cleve's tours would have been great, we are already looking forward to another trip to the Island and we intend to make full use of Cleve's Tours to connect us with the people and culture of this great place.

My family and I had the pleasure of spending the day with Cleve last Friday. What a fabulous day we had and one we were not quite expecting. First up was Cleve himself. This man was just so full of life and love for his family and Island home it was wonderful to see. His booming voice filled the van and his irrepressible and exuberant nature was just lovely and u expected (been on many tours and I’ll always remember Cleve). We also had the pleasure of meeting his 3 boys briefly and we were so impressed with their good nature, poise and intelligence. Cleve’s recipient of 1 hour electronics for 1 hour of reading certainly seems to be a success. What charming and knowledgeable boys. We went all over the Island and it was so humbling to see the small acts of kindness and generosity Cleve undertook during our tour. We also appreciated his candor about his home and his unwillingness to simply show the standard fare - but to go a little deeper and really try and help people see beneath the layers of the Island. We had a wonderful day from start to finish. I am so happy that the Island has such champions in Cleve and his team. More touristed places need a Cleve & Co of their own. Thank you so much for the fantastic day and crash course in Island life.

This was hands down the best tour I have ever had. Cleve’s knowledge of Roatan is deep! He knows the people, the places, the cultures, and the history so well. Cleve is one of the nicest people I have ever met. His tour and his story left an impression on me that will stay with me forever.

If you are looking for a tour where you get to experience the island and learn about the amazing culture look no further. Cleve’s tours are amazing!
