Honestly, you get what you pay for. This place was cheap and decently clean. The bed and sheets were clean (most important). Though, no blankets, just a sheet. Tiny little ants or some other insect by the balcony door and on the balcony. Made me not even want to do in the hammock. They were also on the bathroom sink. You get 2 towels in your room for showers. No hand towels or beach towels. No dish soap. The sponge was old and dirty. The drying rack was 90% rusted. Couldn't get the oven to work (the stove top did though). The knives are not sharp at all. I cooked all the meals because of dietary restrictions. You'd think a place with a kitchen would have leftover salt and pepper at least. Nope. I left mine there for the next person...hopefully the place leaves it for them. Same for the dish soap. No bottled water included. I heard you can get 5 gallons for $3. Bought some at the store though, so I'm not positive. It's right across from a Beach though, which is nice. Though, the beach is kinda dirty (empty bottles, cans, wrappers, etc) and there's always someone asking if you want a massage or hair braids. Beautiful sunsets though! Overall, not a terrible experience. I'm not high maintenance at all, but I would probably not stay here again.

This is such a cute find! When I was picked up at the airport, they had a sign for me and a nice driver to escort me to the hotel and carry my luggage to the room. The quaint gate opened up to a luxurious and beautifully landscaped courtyard. My studio room had a fantastic porch, a nice AC unit, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, TV, full closet, and a nice bathroom as well. I was greeted by two little boys who lived on the property which was a fun and sweet surprise. The maintenance staff was friendly and offered some nice spots to eat and enjoy the scenery. The hotel is located right in front of the beach and surrounded by a nice grocery store, touristy shops, and tons of local restaurants and bars. It was a 10-minute walk to all the attractions in West End. I will definitely be coming back to visit and stay again.

The room that I stayed in at Mame Trees would not suit everybody. It is small-ish and there is no furniture other than a refrigerator and the bed. That said, the room was clean, the AC, refrigerator, and hot water worked. The grounds are attractive and even though it is close to everything in West End it is quiet (well, there was some loud music on my last night due to the fishing tournament, but it didn't go on too late). Sitting on the front porch reading and relaxing was enjoyable. I had one minor problem, but Adam took care of it quickly. I was there to dive, so being less than a five minute walk from the dive shop was a big plus for me.

Adam, the manager is great. Super rooms. Right across the street from the beach. No hotels in the beach side. Best deal in West End.

We love this place ❤ We are here for a second time and it is like being back home.. Diana and Adam are wonderful hosts. The rooms are big, equipped with full kitchen and are clean and safe. Highly recommend 👌

Beautiful place! Close to everything you need or want in roatan. Beautiful beach right across the street and the owner is a great guy I highly recommend.

Freaking awesome place, great rooms, and fully stocked with everything you need! Just don't drink the tap water. Get water from the host.

I love this place, you cross the street and walk into the most beautiful beach. Walking distance from the dive shop, restaurants. You don't need a car once you get to Mame Tree ($20.00 taxi)

Super comfy; awesome management; safe, clean, in front of the beach, close to bars clubs and restaurants. Will definitely use this as my stay in roatan every time i can. Thank you very much to the bosslady and the cleaners for a great stay. All employees were very polite and friendly.

Our stay here was exceptional. The location is the most convenient for snorkeling in Half moon bay, and for eating/drinking around West End. The vibe in this area was much more laid back than in West Bay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would recommend!

Great location. Freya service. When we needed something, it was there quickly. Room is clean. We had a bed, sofa, tv, and a full kitchen. Hot water and AC, with fans. Not luxury but what you need for a good night rest, cooking and relaxing. We brought our 8 month old baby and she was comfortable. No crib but we had her sleep in the sofa with clean sheets. Moved the sofa around to guard her against the wall. Worked out. I’ll come back here for sure.
