West End is a true heavenly place. Relaxing and vibrant it is the most commercial area of the island with lots of bars, restaurants, diving schools and shops. There are a variety of hotels adapting to your budget but sometimes can get expensive. The beaches are incredible. Theres lots of things to do but at end of the day you can always watch the beautiful sunset with a beer.

Loved this little village. It packs a lot into this little space. A great beach that rivals West Bay for quality and less crowds and more accessible food and drink establishments that are less touristy and resort like. There's the famous tourist chocolate factory here too. Hope you catch a sunset!

Great place to eat, drink, and swim. The food was excellent and the soup was delicious my husband ate the French bakery very fresh.

Pleasant beachfront village with a bit of a backpacker / surfer vibe (at least to me). Home to a chocolate factory located above a store selling both the product and delicious cakes & cookies made using it.

(Translated by Google) Brief relate West End Village is located at the northwest end of Roatan. Often described as bohemian and somewhat enigmatic, West End is truly unique both in its design and in the people who call it home. Easily the busiest of tourist spots, the town is a mini metropolis of accommodation, restaurants, bars, lounges, dive shops and souvenir / artist emporiums. Half of the city faces Half Moon Bay, a crescent-shaped beach lined with palm trees; the launch pad for the West End wall and its colorful marine life. West End can be divided into two sections. Upon entering the city on the main road, it branches to the right or to the left. Turning to the right takes you to a quieter area, mainly focused on city accommodation (although there are popular bars and restaurants when you cross the road. Iron shore faces many of the accommodation properties as you venture along the North end of the West End. Turning left to enter the West End takes you to the heart of the restaurants, nightlife and water activities of the town. Most of the diving, fishing and water providers are located along this stretch of sand. West End is often referred to as "the strip" due to its geographical design where most companies are located along a main sandy road. There are small side roads that are reduced from the main avenue where there are more accommodation properties. Dozens of wooden piers stand out from the coast where fishing trips, diving trips and water taxis come and go during the day. At nightfall, West End Village becomes a wave of activities with Happy Hours, live bands and restaurant specials. Almost every day of the week there will be a local band playing, karaoke nights, dancing and DJ music. Many of the annual celebrations such as Holy Week (Holy Week) and the Fishing Tournament (September) are held here. Reach West End Village West End Village is approximately a 20-minute drive from Roatán International Airport and the Roatan Harbor cruise terminal. Wait about 35 minutes by car from the Carnival cruise terminal (Mahogany Bay). Taxes are available (see the taxi fare table on the How to move page). Transportation rental agencies are located at the airport and in the West End. Water taxis connect to West End Village West Bay Beach (approximately ten minutes at a cost of approximately 50L ($ 2.60USD)) during the day. Driving between the two communities takes approximately ten minutes.

Lots of restaurants and hotels to choose from. The beach is only steps away from many establishments. Such a wide array of cuisines to choose from and such great prices.

This is a standard tourist spot on Roatan island in Honduras. There are many tee shirt and gift shops throughout this area. There are also many restaurants and bars. I especially like the street side cooking with it's wonderful aromas. Unfortunately, many, not all, of the businesses are not handicapped accessible. There are stairs at the entrance so beware. There is little to no parking, but you probably either stayed there or took a water taxi ride there, so it doesn't really matter.

This is my favorite place in Roatan. On Saturday nights it's a great blend of locals and tourists and EVERYONE is having fun. Come make new friends, eat great food (from street tacos to fine dining), listen to music or make your own at Karaoke. Beach access if you just want to relax. Little shops everywhere! There is always something fun to do in West End.

Public beach with lots of services. Very safe and quiet. It's the best place in the island to stay if you aren't a "resort kind of tourist".

West end is a village, composed with a mixture of expats and locals with a suitable lifestyle, rentable infrastructure and demanding ecosystems. Expats; Long term residents and long terms vacationers. Locals. Adhere natives, natives and creoles mostly English speaking, caribs and Spanish.

Very beautiful beach, but too much silt, and dead vegetation at the bottom as you walk deeper than about 4 ft. Slight smell of sewage from dead vegetation doesn't make for good swimming experience. The other option is to pay hotels $20-$40 per day to use their beaches and facilities. Probably a wise thing to do, as water in front of the hotels is light blue, rather than a green tint on this beach. Only visit this place if you don't want to pay to use a beach.

(Translated by Google) West End: It is the most commercial area of all the islands, the beaches are beautiful, you can go shopping, eat what you want, since the area has a variety of restaurants or you can take a bath or just sunbathe and end watching the sunset, there are a variety of hotels, adapting to the budget of the tourist, as well as the largest number of diving schools and service establishments for tourists. The beach front bars are incredible to have a drink or snack on some delicious Catrachas delights. For my taste I liked the dirt road, it was more autochthonous, now it is asphalted and when the sun is hot hot, you can not walk, it should be more reforested so that it refreshes and the walk is more pleasant, as it does about 10 years (Original) West End: Es la zona más comercial de toda las islas, las playas son bellas, puedes ir de compras, comer lo que te apetezca, ya que la zona tiene una gran variedad de restaurantes o puedes darte un baño o simplemente tomar el sol y terminar viendo la puesta de sol, hay variedad de hoteles, adaptándose al presupuesto del turista, así como la mayor cantidad de escuelas de buceo y establecimientos de servicio para los turistas.
