Fantastic experience staying at Cheryl's. It's centrally located with beautiful landscaping and a wonderful pool to sit in while eating a 5 star lunch/dinner prepared by Chef. Go right across the street for some snorkeling and see plenty of fish, puffers and eel.

Guava Grove is a unique find. It’s a gem well hidden in a tropical forest away from the tourists which creates an oasis and a tranquility to unplug from hustle and bustle of the outside world. I have spend 7 days in total, the accomodations were excellent. It’s a short walk to the beach. The taxis are cheap and you can catch one right outside the place. It’s about 10 minutes drive from west end. I can’t call it a “hotel” because it is more. It has a feel of a resort. There is a pool, the bar and the restaurant on premises. Cheryl - single handendly (along with a bunch of local team helpers) runs this place and is THE best cook on the island! The food is organic and is grown in her own garden (on premises, along with the home-grown chickens and eggs). She is infections with her positivity, charm and always readiness to help!!! I can’t say enough about this place, I will definately return and for the longer stay.

Staying at Guava Grove for 3rd time this year. Lovely, boutique place. Beautiful gardens, various room types, quality fresh food at restaurant which grows its own botanicals for tasty fresh fruit smoothies as well as for use in the food. The pool has a swim up bar, is 10 feet deep and beautiful. Cheryl and her staff are very nice and do everything they can to accommodate their guests; not only while you’re on the property but also when they take you on one their tours of which there are many. I’ve already booked my 4th stay. You won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for an original place that really shows off this beautiful island you can’t go wrong. And the beach is less than a 5 minute walk. As a solo traveler I’m always very comfortable

My experience first started with a text to see if my boyfriend and I could rent a room for a longer period of time (1-2 months). The response was a little off putting — “Sorry not suitable i am tourist oriented not long term but thanks for your interest.” Text aside, at a later date, we decided to enjoy a relaxing pool day with a couple of drinks, but honestly, the pool needed to be skimmed. I could feel a film residue on my skin just walking into the water. There were also so many insects in the pool that I didn’t want to swim. Although the owner was friendly, I still felt a weird vibe… like I did from the original text.. “not suitable.” So after 2 drinks each, we decided to pay our tab. Making small talk, I asked her about the wifi and maybe coming back another day to work, and she made a comment that in that case, we’d have to order food. All in all, the location is stunning and the place has wonderful potential. It’s a cute little spot tucked away from the road in a beautiful oasis of plants and trees. If the vibe felt better, and the pool felt a little cleaner, I’d probably find myself there much more often.

Our family truly enjoyed Guava Grove! The property is fantastic for families or group of friends. The casita offers plenty of space as well as all essentials for cooking. In addition it offers a great size pool and swim up bar with great selection of cocktails/beers. The service from the restaurant/bar, house keeping, and maintenance was very good. The location is on the main road yet secluded which gives enough privacy and most important it is close to West End for night time entertainment - only 5 minutes away! Other guest were very friendly. Thanks Cheryl

This place is horrible I stayed there for 7 days and the toilet didn’t flush, the roof was leaking in two separate places one on top of the bed and one in the center of the room. When I call the owner about the leaks Her response was “it was raining what do you want me to do “ I couldn’t believe everything that happened in that room within those seven days. I wouldn’t stay here even if it was $1.00. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE

I was there once 12/25- 12/29 and I’m coming back to this place. It’s not a resort and there are no villas. There are rooms. A room #3 in this house looks how it looks on photos, and at that time had a very, and I mean a very uncomfortable spring matters, which probably was ok years ago. At this room you hear all cars and motorcycles passing by on a road, which is approx. 80-90feet from this house all day up to late hours at night. The place has a pool and a bar. A breakfast was included, every day the same- scramble eggs, beans and tortilla. At this and other places prices for food were like in US

The place is gorgeous and the service was great, full of trees and nature and so relaxing. The place appears to be family run and while sometimes this is not great for you as a customer, this is definitely not the case, Cheryl goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home, she solved any situation without hesitation and offered great chats whenever we were around and alone, Murray was really nice as well and very welcoming and so were Bish and Jess from the bar/restaurant, they were really fun to be around and were really invested in giving a great and happy service, all the team in general is amazing, this was definitely the best customer experience I've had on a vacation so far, I can't thank them enough. The rooms are well equipped and the food at the restaurant is good and affordable compared to everything else in Roatán, we'll definitely be back if we're ever around the west end again. Thank you guys!

Wow, what a hidden Gem!! I spent 4 nights here and wish I stayed longer. The grounds are beautiful & peaceful, soo green with hummingbirds, geckos, birds & 3 cute cats. The pool is phenomenal and perfect for an afternoon dip… I worked during the day in the shaded pool area & had dinner at the restaurant. Cheryl & the girls were so fun & attentive. Do yourself a favor & just book this place!

I gave this place 5 stars but the rooms 4. ONLY for the reason that the bed in our room was very old and very worn out and bowed in the middle. Probably my only feedback on how to improve. Other than that we loved this place. We transferred from a very subpar hotel in west bay mid trip and glad we did. Granted, it’s a little further from the beach but it’s like a mini paradise with all the foliage surrounding you. Most times it was quite and you could just hang out and lounge about if you wanted I was impressed with the food. Compared to many places where food was extremely basic and overpriced, there was effort in making the meals delicious with variety and affordable. Also, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. We got to interact with the two ladies at the bar a lot since it rained one whole day and they were super nice. Do yourself a favor. Avoid the high traffic over valued touristy areas and choose to spend your money here.

We had a situation leading to immediate need for a room the same night for my mom. The owners provided her a room with no notice. The room was lovely with a new bed and a very sweet kitchenette and the property is beautiful. Breakfast was provided in a very nice terrace next to a pool with a swim up bar. They treated my 80 year old mom so very well. I am truly grateful and cannot recommend them highly enough.

The styling was authentic Roatan. The beds, pillows and linens nice and fresh. Swim up pool bar really the way to spend an afternoon. Dinner was real Island cooking. Cheryl is a very accommodating host. You can walk across the road down to the beach and dive shops and more 5 minutes. Catch a cab at that road entrance to anywhere ! Definitely will come again.

Quite dissapointed with our stay here, so much so for the rest of our time in Routan we found other accommodation. The room we had was in the basement. It's a new build but very basic. It was dark and dinghy with a tiny window. WiFi awful probably designed for the upper villa rooms. Nothing like the images of the rooms we saw online. Most annoying is you hear everyone's toilet pipes coming down from the apartments upstairs. You really need to check your booking to make sure you don't get it.

My son who is 15 traveled to Honduras to see his father who got deported when he was 2. I booked this hotel from the U.S. and thought it was convenient that breakfast was included, yet this morning they left a note saying they are closed due to under staff. I think is super unprofessional and false advertisement if they can't keep up with the demand.

I did not simply have a place to stay for two weeks, I had a home away from home for two weeks. Cheryl and her crew were amazingly kind and helpful, room was bright and clean, pool area was bright and welcoming. We were located close to West End and if we wanted to go anywhere else, the people at Guava Grove were quick to make suggestions and offer input. I was sad to leave after my stay, and can’t wait to go back.

Owner Cheryl menacingly attacked our door at 6am, and told my girlfriend and I we had to leave immediately, because I wrote a bad review. Don’t believe any positive reviews. She is quite intimidating.

The second half of our trip we stayed at Guava Grove Villas. Great spot. Staff were amazing all around. Especially at the restaurant, whether for breakfast or dinner. Drinks were on point aswell, I recommend the Miami Vice and Lizzy was all about the Margaritas. Cheryl (the owner) was amazing. Even operating the kitchen during New Years Eve and New Years Day, I highly recommend the Americano for breakfast, (Cheryl's pancakes were GREAT) and for dinner she whipped up Burritos that were DELICIOUS (honestly wish I ordered 2, like I did the breakfast lol). It was a great time. On sight parking. Multiple room options, and locations. Highly Recommend. In the words of Cheryl referring to the West End, Guava Grove is just a short 3 minute drive to peace and quiet :) , something we enjoyed at the end of the day. This vacation may be over, but if we're planning another for Summer, Guava Grove Villas is definitely our go-to location. Thanks Cheryl, Happy New Year! 🤙🏻

Lovely place! The owner Cheryl is awesome, the staff is great, and the food and drinks are always on point. Few minutes away from West End, so perfect to get to the lively area and then come to relax in your room.

From the start of our trip our experience was amazing. Our host Cheryl went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. From picking us up at the airport and helping us source items (as one of our bags was lost by the airline) to finding out our interests and suggesting places to see she was always helpful. Guava Grove offers friendly staff and a great menu. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool offered a quiet place to relax.

My husband and I visited Roatan for the first time August 2022. After much research we decided to stay at Guava Grove in Sandy Bay. I always heard that you get what you pay for. That is NOT true in this case. We got SOOOO much MORE! Cheryl, the owner, went out of her way ( literally) to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. She went as far as picking up meds and preparing us special foods when we got sick. Cheryl arranged transportation, an island mangrove tour and the highlight of our vacation …snorkeling with Nelson. The food at Guava Grove is excellent! Delicious drinks IN the pool made for relaxing evenings. Needless to say we will return to Guava Grove.

What an amazing place! Cheryl has created a paradise in the perfect location. A short taxi (and only $1) to West End where you can then go to West Bay too (what a beach) if you want to venture out. Honestly though I spent most of my evenings swimming in the pool, using the swim up bar and eating Cheryl's amazing cooking (best on the island). Even if you're not staying, pop up and enjoy! Staff go above and beyond and as a result the grounds are perfectly maintained, everything is clean and Cheryl helps with everything you ask (she helped me rent a car). I cannot recommend this place enough and I hope I can visit again soon.

Such a beautiful atmosphere and warm stay. My family and I stayed here for three nights; there were 6 of us and we each had plenty of personal space. The wooden cabin was absolutely beautiful; felt like being right at home and the scenery was to die for. So tropical and refreshing and Cheryl was very attentive. I will definitely recommend this and I will be back again! The beaches aren’t far at all either and be sure to take a tour of the island; it’s gorgeous 🤩🤩🤩

My husband and I stayed at Guava Grove for a little over a month. The owner Cheryl was very attentive to our needs and always available. Her and her staff are awesome and all work very well together. The entire Inn is very clean, well kept and well supplied. Cheryl has a way of having her guest come together and have a great time. Cheryl and the staff were very helpful in having us get to know the island. My husband and I had a fantastic time with everyone. Guava Grove is the place to go if you're looking for a family friendly stay. We miss our Guava Grove crew.

Bookers beware. Booked a room and afterword made a request for room type based on pictures. Without any conversation they cancelled on us during a busy week. Was looking forward to staying. It's hard not to feel like they are so concerned about anything but a perfect review that they cancelled proactively. Also take a look at most of there 5 star reviews. It's by a lot of people who haven't not reviewed many things. Are these done by bots or are people given something for posting a 5 star review like a free drink at the bar. Look at my other reviews I do not use this platform to complaint or trash people regularly. They wouldnt even work with us. A simple sorry we can't accomdiate that would been fine and we'd would have understood. It's very off putting. Had a great stay at Lands End near by. So booker beware.
