If you're looking for a one stop dive experience in Roatan Anthony's is it. First and most important is the diving set up. They have there dive shop, gear lockers and store all lined up on along the water making prep and return from each dive a breeze. You can bring all your own gear or rent anything you need. The rental gear is solid but obviously well used. Our package included 3 boat dives per day plus night dives on Tuesday and Thursday. Depending on dive location and weather your boat time to the dive site can be as little as 5 minutes or as much as 20 minutes. The reefs, sea life and wrecks are fantastic. They assigned us to a boat, dive master (Hector) and boat captain (Ross) for the entire week. Those two were a great team and took good care of us. We were also paired up with the same 2 families for the week which can be good or bad. The resort itself is also very nice. We stayed in one of the key deluxe bungalows which are kind of plain but very clean and comfortable. There is no water access from your bungalow but there is a small common beach area and a surf dive entry point if the boat dives didn't give you enough dive time. I'd rate the bungalow 3.5 out of 5 and the key grounds and facilities a 5 out of 5. The main desk, restaurant and bar are built into the hillside and very nice. Our meals were very good and the service was fantastic. From start to finish our experience at Anthony's was fantastic.

Many of us in our group had diarrhea -- probably from bad water in AKR's drinking jugs or from their restaurant. The AC in the hut smelled of mold and the sweeping motion would not stop even though we tried to lock it in horizontal mode. So every night we had cold air blasting wind at us. Diving was great though---so many beautiful reefs out there.

Visited as an excursion through Royal Caribbean and rented all our gear. The quality of our gear was much better than your typical rentals. Someone even commented that they thought we brought our personal gear and we’re shocked that it was rented. Great dives and got to see some dolphins swimming along the boat as we returned!

I can't say anything bad about this place. Very reasonably priced resort catered towards divers and snorkelers. Personnel are very friendly, food is good, and the snorkeling is superb. We am already planning my next trip and we still have a day left.

Second time here and it was even better than the first. Great people, great food, and great diving!. Loved the shark dive the best. The rooms are fantastic have a cup of coffee and enjoy your own deck or take a nap in your own hammock. One complaint bring bug spray, but that wouldn't stop me from going a 3rd time!

If you have time this is a must go on Roatan. The dolphin encounter and other dolphin swims are great. I did the encounter for 45 dollars. It's a bargain. They take you by boat to a little island that has a huge dolphin enclosure. Beautiful little private Key part of Anthony's Key Resort totally awesome property. You go into the water and Dolphins come up to you to be touched fed fish and do tricks and other delightfully dolphin stuff. They truly look to be enjoying the human company and showing off. The encounter director gave a great informational talk about dolphins.

Here for a day of scuba diving while on a cruise with our son on his spring break from college. Anthony's crew is knowledgeable experienced & professional. The water, the reef & corrals, the fish are amazing & spectacular . . 3rd time we've been here while Cruising. Anthony's Resort is going to be a spot for me to return again and again

Very good experience here. Virtually all the staff was friendly and attentive. Our dive master, John, was great and patient with us, and the boat captain, Joe, was on top of things, very funny, and quick to lend a hand getting in and out of the water. Pete and Jose, the dive instructors, showed us the reef in a whole new way. I would specifically come back here to dive with Jose. The restaurant staff was very friendly. Steven, the head waiter, did a great job of making sure we were getting good service, and our morning banana to fight cramps. Overall the food was delicious. I particularly liked the fried fish, but be sure to get the catch of the day at least once, blackened of course. EAT THE SOUPS! They are awesome. Internet is available, but can be a bit spotty on speed and connection. Don't come here planning on uploading videos and streaming movies all day in your room, though I don't know why you would want to. It is functional though, and doesn't require an additional fee, so I was happy with it. I sincerely wouldn't hesitate to come back here again.

Food and everything was excellent especially the diving! The only bad part is if you lay out for a day and don't do a tour dive or snorkel there is not much to do. The bars and restaurant is only open at certain times.

I was here for a week with my son as well as a bunch of divers from the area where I'm from. The service & hospitality at the resort was top notch and the diving was excellent. Special thanks to our DM John and Captain Dean. This place is great for families of all ages as well as couples.

We went here for a dolphin excursion on our cruise vacation. We were skeptical about the little boat they transported us on. We all made it over safely. This was the most beautiful experience of the entire trip. We had cain as our dolphin expert. He was wonderful. Overall, wonderful time!

Lovely location on a secluded spot on the island. Unique experience staying in a hut built out over the ocean... ask for a "Key Deluxe" room. Recently built dining/game room is a very upscale addition to the property. Excellent diving/snorkeling opportunity.

Overall, really good to excellent. A few minor hiccups. Such as, a non-operating safe for 3 days, a dive master who left people behind and not concerned for their safety. The food was a 7 on a 1 to 10 scale, not enough provisions for typical food alergy folks. Overall a wonderful vacation - would recommend to others.

After a meet and greet with the beautiful dolphins we enjoyed a delicious lunch and wonderful beverages at Anthony's Key Resort. Great food, great service by Steven and Brandon. I didn't get the bartender's name, but he made a delicious Planter's Punch for me and Monkey La-la for my friend.

This place was amazing for dive fanatics and vacation relaxers alike. We did 20 dives over 5.5 days and saw a range of beautiful wildlife and reef scenes. Our DM and boat captain were great and very informative, showing us their insights on each dive we did.

There are not enough compliments available to describe how much I love Anthony’s Key Resort. The people are the BEST! The food is excellent! Our room (29) was wonderful! The dolphin excursion was awesome. We snorkeled and it was fantastic! No regrets. Good people and good times!!!!

This was an incredible trip to a beautiful location. The staff were all genuine warm smiles with a seamless flow from the pick up at the airport to Sadly leaving. Made many new friends! The percentage of return visitors says it all. Great food, matchless diving. We will be back with family next time to share this gem!

My husband and I was there for a week with a scuba diving group from the Denver area. The resort is tucked along ocean sides. The rooms are separate bungalows (some over the water) with decks. On-site swimming pool with bar. The entire resort is impeccably maintained and cared for. I cannot say enough about the ENTIRE staff! They were OUTSTANDING AND STELLAR - always very friendly and very service oriented.

Did a 2 tank dive here as part of a Royal Caribbean cruise excursion. The entire Anthony's Key team was great, the dives were great, and a fantastic experience overall. I will definitely dive with them again and next time stay at the super low-key resort.

I only took a diving excursion at Anthony's Key. I did not stay on the property. I said I loved it for the nice diving experience and the fact that left my phone behind. It was found and returned to me aboard the ship before we sailed away. I am so grateful to the Dive Shop for their honesty and service.

Without a doubt, it was one of the best weeks of my life. Everything is included in the booking, so there is no real hassle to do anything. Staff are extremely nice. Dive masters knowledgeable and kind. 10/10 would recommend.

Went during a cruise to do a beginner scuba diving tour. Excellent service and staff was accommodating. I do wish the staff was 2 to 1 instead of 4 to 1 (divers to instructors) as they did seem taxed, but it's cost and efficiency over anything else, I suppose. I would like to go back to explore the resort for a week as the location was beautiful.

Came here on a cruise ship diving excursion. We were guided buy Iron and an associate to two awesome dive spots right off the coast by the resort. Beautiful coral scenery and features, and iron and his team did a great job making 4 newly certified divers comfortable and even coached us in between dives. Over and beyond for a cruise ship excursion. Will definitely come here again!

Anthony's Key had good and bad aspects. It is a good option if you were traveling with kids that need more activities or adults that are not scuba divers. Beware that cruise ship passengers can buy day passes to use the facilities. Not only could it get crowded, but you have to wear a plastic wristband all the time to identify that you are a guest. There is a lot of "sales pitch" to sign up for Padi classes, dolphin experiences, etc. Pair that with the food and drink upcharges and your budgeted expense account disappears quickly. Communication is severely lacking in the management. There is no system in place to update guests on major changes to the daily itinerary. It was up to guests to wake up early and find the right person and ask all the right questions. An example is that we woke up early to get breakfast before the first dive, but it wasn't until we were at breakfast that we were told all dives were canceled for the day due to weather. Another example is the dive boat sent us to the front desk for towels, the front desk sent us to the pool for beach towels, the pool sent us back to the front desk for towels. We never found towels - apparently housekeeping has them in a mystery area. There seemed to be a couple of issues each day where we were left to figure out what was going on without help from management. It wouldn't have been a big deal if it was just the above examples, but it became a daily occurrence. Food was just okay. There was plenty of food served. Restaurant staff was outstanding! But the lack of included drink choices was disappointing. All drinks except water and morning coffee were an upcharge. Several of the more desirable meals were also an upcharge. The restaurant itself was very posh. The pool area is nice. The masseuse did not speak English, but it was a very good massage. If you have problem areas, you might have trouble explaining it to her because of the language differeces. The boat shuttle captains were friendly. Rooms were always cleaned well. In my opinion, scuba diving was better on the Southside of the island. Overall, a decent resort with way too many minor inconveniences to get more than 3 stars.

My husband and I just went to Anthony's Key for our honeymoon and we are already dreaming of the day we can go back. I can not speak more highly about the diving, accommodations, service, food, or staff--everything was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. We stayed in Room 37 with a private deck over the water and, honestly, if we weren't there to dive, I could have hung out here all day. It was idyllic. But, we were there for the diving--and dive we did! We saw octopus, sharks, seahorses, turtles, and an abundance of sea life! The dive masters and boat captains were all experts and knew the reef inside and out. They also helped us with our gear everyday which was super nice! As part of our honeymoon package, we also got the change to swim with the dolphins on the property and do a horseback ride--both were awesome experiences! And on site! What shined at Anthony's Key the most though was the staff and the service. From the moment we booked our trip they were there to help us with the process--answering all of our questions, making travel and airport pickups a breeze, and making us feel comfortable and at home at the resort. Everyone, from the ground staff to the servers (in the beautifully remodeled restaurant!) were beyond kind and an absolute joy to be around. We are looking forward to many more vacations at Anthony's Key.

We took two dives with their master divers and boat. We were very impressed with the staff and the assistance. They took us on two amazing dives, and made sure we were able to see some unusual sea life, such as the sea slug and the toad fish. I only wish I had time to see all of our pictures and maybe purchase some but we had to get back to our boat. I highly recommend this organization. We would consider traveling again, but this time staying at the actual resort.

It was an absolutely magical trip. The service of everyone, and I mean everyone, was amazing. The staff by far makes this resort. I would like to give a special shout out to Lucas (our dive guide), William (our dive boat Captain), and Brandon (the waiter assigned to us). They did everything in their power to ensure our trip was fantastic and I felt they went above and beyond.

We’ve dove with them 8 times over the years on cruises, always a great place and dives! My wife and her cruise “coffee/wine club” have gone there for their dolphin experience and rave about it.

Best dive experience I’ve had in the last 5 years. The guide was informative, clear, and fun. We felt safe and comfortable with him leading us. The boat captain was a great driver in some large swells and very attentive to help us with our gear. Our dive guide was very attentive under water and made sure everyone in our group had a chance to enjoy the wildlife before moving on.

We went for the dolphin encounter and loved it! The staff was great and super helpful with my wife who had fallen a couple of days prior and was requiring a cane to walk. They made sure she had the same experience as everyone else and patiently helped her navigate challenges of getting in and out of boats, etc. They were awesome, the dolphins were awesome, and I highly recommend this experience!

Our group arrived on the first day they re-opened post-covid pandemic. It was my first time in Roatan. The staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived: from the porters to the boat taxi drivers to the dive staff to the waiters. Everyone was attentive, friendly, fun, and professional. All staff wore protective masks, and the resort had stations set up for disinfecting your shoes & hands. They had seats spaced out on the boat taxis and buses. It was really special because our group of nine and another couple had the entire resort to ourselves! A priceless experience. The resort is gorgeous: white sand, turquoise waters, palm trees, and beautiful wood structures. I got wonderful sleep in our peaceful, quiet water-top bungalow, and woke to a beautiful sunrise every morning. The diving was SO EASY. I never imagined I could do four dives in one day–twice! But I did. The diving here is effortless. Most sites are a few minutes ride from the resort, so you can scoot back over for surface intervals. They have airy lockers to stash your gear right next to the dock, so no carrying heavy gear around. The water is warm & there were usually no currents or waves. We loved our divemaster (Marvin) and our boat captain (Luis). Both were super helpful, imparting some interesting local knowledge, and very hard-working. Marvin managed to find cool sea creatures that we'd never have found on our own: an octopus, neck crabs, blennies, toadfish, spiny lobsters, and more. On our night dive he took some of us on a "bioluminescent tour" that was absolutely awesome! What else? The food was delicious. There are other fun activities to do (kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling) although we were so busy diving we mostly just did that. However, it's a lovely place to be if a non-diver wanted to tag along. I really like the eco-friendly policies they have in place: solar energy, water treatment, no single-use plastics, and reef-friendly insect repellants & sunscreen. They've established a marine institute on site to study the health of the reef. Finally, the resort has its own clinic that has a hyperbaric chamber. It's nice to know medical care is nearby if needed. I enjoyed every second of my visit to Anthony's Key Resort and would return in the future. I highly recommend it.

The Diving, the service, the people, and the food. I cant say enough about Anthony'sKey, the rates for a week stay is very reasonable. The staff are wonderful, they treat you like family (family you like). My husband and I hope to keep coming back for many years to come. The reef here is protected and beautiful, full of a variety of species. Three dives a day, two night dives a week, all only a short boat ride from the dock(5 to 15 minutes). We have had a wonderful experience each time we stay. It it not just for diving either, the view is amazing from the island bungalow. I spend each morning in the hammock on the covered deck, coffee in hand, overlooking the water. Perfect picture of paradise!

Anthony's Key is a clean, laid back place to dive and relax. With masks on, my practice is to look at a person's eyes to tell me whether they are genuinely smiling. These people are really happy to have you stay. They go out of their way to give outstanding service. The recent shutdowns are really putting the squeeze on the staff. You would not know that by observing their warm service. I am glad I was able to stay with them. The food is great, the service is outstanding, and the diving is very good as well.
