Our
group
arrived
on
the
first
day
they
re-opened
post-covid
pandemic.
It
was
my
first
time
in
Roatan.
The
staff
were
wonderful
from
the
moment
we
arrived:
from
the
porters
to
the
boat
taxi
drivers
to
the
dive
staff
to
the
waiters.
Everyone
was
attentive,
friendly,
fun,
and
professional.
All
staff
wore
protective
masks,
and
the
resort
had
stations
set
up
for
disinfecting
your
shoes
&
hands.
They
had
seats
spaced
out
on
the
boat
taxis
and
buses.
It
was
really
special
because
our
group
of
nine
and
another
couple
had
the
entire
resort
to
ourselves!
A
priceless
experience.
The
resort
is
gorgeous:
white
sand,
turquoise
waters,
palm
trees,
and
beautiful
wood
structures.
I
got
wonderful
sleep
in
our
peaceful,
quiet
water-top
bungalow,
and
woke
to
a
beautiful
sunrise
every
morning.
The
diving
was
SO
EASY.
I
never
imagined
I
could
do
four
dives
in
one
day–twice!
But
I
did.
The
diving
here
is
effortless.
Most
sites
are
a
few
minutes
ride
from
the
resort,
so
you
can
scoot
back
over
for
surface
intervals.
They
have
airy
lockers
to
stash
your
gear
right
next
to
the
dock,
so
no
carrying
heavy
gear
around.
The
water
is
warm
&
there
were
usually
no
currents
or
waves.
We
loved
our
divemaster
(Marvin)
and
our
boat
captain
(Luis).
Both
were
super
helpful,
imparting
some
interesting
local
knowledge,
and
very
hard-working.
Marvin
managed
to
find
cool
sea
creatures
that
we'd
never
have
found
on
our
own:
an
octopus,
neck
crabs,
blennies,
toadfish,
spiny
lobsters,
and
more.
On
our
night
dive
he
took
some
of
us
on
a
"bioluminescent
tour"
that
was
absolutely
awesome!
What
else?
The
food
was
delicious.
There
are
other
fun
activities
to
do
(kayaking,
paddle
boarding,
snorkeling)
although
we
were
so
busy
diving
we
mostly
just
did
that.
However,
it's
a
lovely
place
to
be
if
a
non-diver
wanted
to
tag
along.
I
really
like
the
eco-friendly
policies
they
have
in
place:
solar
energy,
water
treatment,
no
single-use
plastics,
and
reef-friendly
insect
repellants
&
sunscreen.
They've
established
a
marine
institute
on
site
to
study
the
health
of
the
reef.
Finally,
the
resort
has
its
own
clinic
that
has
a
hyperbaric
chamber.
It's
nice
to
know
medical
care
is
nearby
if
needed.
I
enjoyed
every
second
of
my
visit
to
Anthony's
Key
Resort
and
would
return
in
the
future.
I
highly
recommend
it.
