My wife and I did a day trip here while on a Carnival cruise to the Western Caribbean. Where do I begin.. Talk about peace and serenity. The beaches where absolutely beautiful! The package included transportation to and from the port, a fruit drink and appetizer when we arrived. Also lunch delivered to us at the beach we were sunbathing at. From stem to stern we were treated like a King and Queen during our entire stay. The views out into the ocean were absolutely breath taking! Some of the pictures I can't post for obvious reasons...lol. Gosh, we hope to visit this resort again in the future! Highly recommend to all those interested Paya Bay Resort!

We loved our first and second stays here (May 2022, Nov 2022) and we're going back again (Aug 2023)!!!! We have 3 non-negotiable items that must be met before I book a resort: easy access to scuba diving, all-inclusive (I hate getting nickel & dimed, just charge me up front and be done with it!), and some option for nude sunbathing. Paya Bay checks all three boxes. I recommend the cliffside bungalows, go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves crashing at the base of the cliff beneath your balcony. If you're looking for a big glitzy resort, this isn't the place - its charm is of a different sort. The grounds are very quiet at night, and the hummingbirds and iguanas are everywhere in the morning. My DH describes it as "shabby-chic," and he means that is the very best possible way. This is not Vegas; it's a small boutique resort that doesn't demand four changes of clothes daily and a collared shirt at dinner. It's a relaxed, casual atmosphere around the clock. The guys at Tropical Island Divers were friendly and safety-conscious, a short 10 minute boat ride away from Paya Bay's dock. Each day was breakfast, two dives in the morning, back to the resort for lunch, and an afternoon laying on the beach, baking my buns. The menu isn't extensive, but it's plenty diverse to keep you happy across a week-long stay, and Winnie the cook is fantastic. One night, I order a mint lemonade at dinner and it was a long time coming out, and when Eric set my glass down he said, "Sorry! We were out of mint and I had to run down to the garden!" That's the kind of attention you can expect at Paya Bay!

OMG what a divine experience! The nudist beach is right here (photos and videos are forbidden FYI) food was reaaaally great, the lodgin was pretty comfortable, I had a divine sleep hearing the ocean waves all night (feel free to leave your door open for a more realistic experience) this place is about an hour away from the airport but its trully paradise, you must come visit!! What I loved is the privacy of the whole place which makes it really special, also, the attention provided. Thank you.

Stopped in for lunch. We were the only people there. It’s in a great spot overlooking the water.I had the chicken fajita and it was excellent. The hubs had fish tacos which he said were also very good. The drinks were okay. Overall it was a good spot off the beaten path.

Beautiful place, amazing beach, we had an excellent lunch there. The owners were very friendly and walked us around and told us about the history of the resort. The road could use some work so be prepared for a 45 minute rough road in.

My wife and I were lucky enough to stay here for a week in December 2022. It was perfect! We couldn't say enough amazing things about the staff, the location, the grounds, etc. The only thing that might have deterred some folks were the showers being a little dated, but I understand they have since remodeled them, which makes it even better. If you choose to stay here, don't forget to make time for yoga and massage every day, and bring your trail running shoes so you can run about the grounds in the mornings!

I didn't stay there, we just came for drinks at the bar and toured the beautiful grounds. It is absolutely gorgeous! Will definitely go stay there next time I'm on the island

Probably the best resort in Roatan for your family vacation. We only wanted to spend 2 days there - at the end we extended for a week! The location of Payabay is magical and has among the most beautiful beaches I have seen. Also the staff and management are doing such a great job and make this place the perfect holiday destination. Thank you, definitively coming back soon!

Smaller beach (naturist) is beautiful, larger one is full of sea weed. We went to have lunch here, we couldn’t eat the ceviche, it was chewy, and my cheese bacon burger turned out to be just cheese burger without any notice.

My wife and stayed at Paya Bay for our 20th anniversary. It was also our first trip to Roatan. The resort picked us up and took us to the hotel. They helped me put together a special picnic at lunch on our anniversary, massages at their yoga studio and a candle light dinner with flowers everywhere. They went above and beyond. We enjoyed the snorkeling and the staff are awesome. The ones who interact most with guests all speak English. The water is from their well so anyone can drink it. Best vacation ever and we are already talking about going back. Thank you Paya Bay.

👍👍 Camp Bay is a beautiful hidden gem. Its tucked away far from the hussle and bussle of the west end. If you are looking to disconnect and enjoy some quiet, it is very much worth the drive. The Lodge was clean and simply but nicely decorated. The rooms have fans and louvered windows so you can take a...
