Pretty place and very good food, however the service needs work. And be careful that you understand everything that the price includes. When we were eating, the server told us that our ticket covers the food and we just pay the difference. I was never given a ticket nor told about food being included, but he kept insisting "I TOLD you not to lose it, I TOLD you clearly that this would happen!" (Even though he wasn't even the one who talked to us when we made the initial payment). We searched for this ticket as much as we could while the server kept saying "I told you!!!!", but all we found was a receipt, at which point the server realized and admitted that we were never given a ticket nor were we told anything about one, and told us that the discounted price ($15 per person) on our receipt was the reason for this and why we now had to pay the full price of our food instead of the difference of $15, so we ended up paying double what we would've otherwise paid. And it turns out the person standing at the entrance of the hotel, who we thought was an employee and who gave us this price, wasn't an actual hotel employee either - just some guy who earns commission for bringing clients to the hotel. Another server told us "it's because you thought $20 per person was too expensive, and the cashier doesn't tell people what's included." So even though she herself admitted that the cashier didn't inform us and generally doesn't inform people about what they're getting, we were still charged extra for something we didn't know about. Now, I've worked in the service industry before so I get that unfortunate things happen sometimes and I try to be very understanding, but this was just really an abysmal response on behalf of the staff. We clearly had the receipt of what we had already paid, but the staff insisted on charging us extra and blaming us for our actions when we weren't told anything - instead of even just giving a simple apology, despite acknowledging that their cashier never informs people of what they're buying (which in my opinion places the responsibility on the hotel).

The best thing about this hotel is its stellar location. Its a minute walk to the beach, with its own restaurant and beach chairs. The rooms are clean, and the housekeeping staff is on top of the rooms, and every floor has its own water station to fill up water without cost. There is also a plaza (The Placita Inn) that is conveniently right next to this hotel that is good for some food outside of the hotel. However, the service at this hotel is horrible. The front desk is hostile and unwelcoming, and seems like the agents do not communicate. On several occasions I received negative attitudes and harsh responses to questions that I asked such as where my room was located upon arrival, and if they could fix my broken shower. In the restaurant, there were only 3 servers that were consistently amazing and gave 10/10 service, but everyone else was extremely rude. Also, when I ordered drinks at the bar, I saw on two separate occasions that the servers would take the highly expensive drinks from the bartender and water them down before serving them. Not good service, but the food is great (except for the one time I received raw chicken). Another thing to mention that not many people knew or noticed, but the hotel automatically includes the tip in all the things you buy, so you do NOT have to tip extra. There were over 5 instances where the servers would roll their eyes to me when I tipped $10 on an appetizer. The only other person on the resort that was genuinely helpful and simply a nice person was the security guard that monitors the beach. The only downside to the beach area of Paradise Hotel is that the town vendors are constantly trying to sell to tourists, which is fine because everyone deserves a job, however, it is an abundance of vendors, including children (about 100 people), that walk on the beach constantly asking if you want to buy from them. Be aware of scams as well if you are not Spanish-speaking. Overall, it truly is a great experience to visit Roatan because there are many things to do (ziplining, the zoo, snorkeling, dolphins, swimming with sea turtles, scuba diving, parasailing, etc.). But this hotel has truly gone downhill from the last time I went in 2022.

The only thing that I liked about this hotel is the breakfast and the location. Everything else was underwhelming. It was not worth the price the room was at least spacious and was well air-conditioned. However, we only had two towels per day which there should be at least four because staying on a beach resort. Everybody is Sandy all the time and may need to take more than one shower a day to remove all the sand. along with that the shower was cold the entire time we did not have wash cloths. The running water was cold and also smelled like sewer and was kind of salty and burned my eyes when I tried to shower in it. There was only one wastebasket, which was in the bathroom and the cleaner forgot to empty it. The cleaner only fixed our beds, but didn’t change our sheets after 2 nights until I asked the front desk twice for them to change it out after dinner and was tired. She lied and tried to say the a lot of the sheets have the same stain on them. The rooms are very outdated for the price. I visit Roatan every year when I visit Honduras to see family. I will not be returning to Paradise Beach Hotel in my next visit.

Location is great - right on the beach - amazing snorkeling just a short walk down the beach - the pool is wonderfully shaded but needs some work - surface is peeling - the rooms are underwhelming - we had a garden view queen on the ground floor - I would have loved to have a clothesline or something similar to hang up wet suits and shirts from snorkeling - nothing gets dry and just starts smelling - so does the shower curtain - floors are very slippery when wet which is hard with kids - there was construction going on during our stay so always back ground noise - restaurant service was good - beach service not so much (we always had to argue to get the beach chair mats or an umbrella and were told no because it may be raining.. which was never true - just an annoyance to deal with them) - we had a nice stay but wouldn’t come back - attention to detail is definitely missing all around and the hotel is not living up to the cost/value ratio in my opinion.

The food was delicious, and we also enjoyed their cocktails. The rooms were neatly clean daily. The only thing about the hotel is their service. They took long to serve the food, the last night of our stay they took like 70 mins to bring our food, and another 25 mins to bring dessert. Waiters had to be chased down in order to take our order. The concierge staff was not really friendly they always made a face when you approached them. Two of times we requested towels they said they didn't have any and asked us to comeback, instead of offering to bring them to us.

Could NOT check out of this hotel/resort fast enough. This was our first time visiting Roatan and unfortunately this resort put a damper on our visit. The beautiful scenery and clear waters is what makes the stay worth it. The rooms are very outdated and not what it seems as advertised on the website. The curtains have holes, furniture is rugged, and the showers basically have no warm water, plus, no water pressure. What upset me the most, was the staff. The two ladies at the front desk were very cold and rude. They made us feel like we were a bother to them. You would think that as much as the customer pays to stay at your location that you would have the staff greet the guest with a smile and warm welcoming. We were not told the breakfast hours upon arrival, so when we showed up to eat the first morning around 915 am, we were told that they were basically closing and just allowing us to eat since it was our first experience. The restaurant/bar has good food and drinks, but yet again, the service stinks! Since the tip is included on your bill, the bar/waiting staff won't give you the time of day unless you're tipping more than the tip included on your ticket. So basically you feel the need to pay more to feel respected by the staff at this resort. I never leave reviews on places we stay or eat at, but this time around I felt the need to let Paradise Beach know the improvments that need to be made.

I really don't want anyone to know about the island of Roatan as it is one of my absolutely favorite places to go. However, Paradise Hotel is amazing. They have been so good and patient with us. The rooms are cleaned daily, as is the entire place kept clean. The restaurant has good food and drinks. And the staff is great.

Beautiful beach for sure!!! But the staff is not friendly at all. Tip is included at the restaurant/bar so the wait time for drinks or food is unbelievable. At times, you have to reach for service rather than service coming to you. If I were to recommend this spot it would be because of the beach view. The guys who assist with the beach chairs deserve better!!! they made us feel like at home!!!

Hotel was doing construction from early morning to late evening. All seven days there. Shower had no hot water, maybe an island or energy thing. Food was not very good. Started eating pizza every meal. Location and pool was very nice!

My stay at this hotel was an absolute disaster!!! Towels were dingy, tattered and torn!! Room was cleaned and face towels were NOT provided …. Started asking for face towels at 1:00 pm and was told I had to wait for them come out of the dryer !!!!! Finally received towels at 11:00 PM…Requested four towels and received 3!! The blanket provided is cover on both sides with lint balls !!! I will NOT return to this hotel next year!!! Hotel management/owner it is not okay to simply acknowledge unpleasant reviews… please rectify these issues!!!

No clean towels at the beach, lazy service and shuttle totally not on time. The location is fine, most parts of the hotel are directly at a beautiful and mostly clean beach with clear blue water. Area around the hotel has a few nice cafes and local restaurants, but gets muddy when raining. Breakfast was local and delicious. We had a lovely time in this hotel, but staff and service are a total disaster.

Check in was a hassle, could not provide a room for us to keep luggage until 3 PM. Rooms were clean and somewhat updated, for the price I believe they should be a little newer. Villa was spacious! Staff is everything, but welcoming, you will not be greeted, smiled at, and will barely be looked at. Only staff member that was friendly was Dawson. Food and snack are incredibly limited, snack runs out in less than 10 mins and is not replaced. Selection of food is not abundant, did taste good.

This was my first time in Roatan. The Paradise Beach Hotel was wonderful. Everyone is super friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious. Try the 🍕 pizza. It is one of the best. I hope to be back again soon.

Don’t go there! Beach looks pretty, but they will scam you! Avoid at all cost, or else it will cost you. Seriously don’t go there, they will add bogus taxes and suddenly your bills triples

This is a wonderful place to stay in Roatán, Honduras. The hosts are so friendly and attentive. The grounds are meticulously kept and the rooms are nice and the bed very comfortable. It’s a great place for any type of destination get away. You don’t have to hire a charter to go snorkeling. The reef is so close you can just swim to it from the beach here. We visited in September. We had one evening of rain but the rest of the days were sunny and in the 80’s. The water temperature at the beach was perfect.

We had a fantastic time here for the day! We were traveling via Carnival Cruise but chose to get away from the other guests and have our own adventure! The bartender was so fun and and attentive. We ordered the Ceviche and Grilled Octopus and my fiance was in heaven! He also loved the Strawberry Mojitos. The best part of the day was our cab driver who stopped along the way to buy us the local beer, and shop along the way. Javier, you were the best!!! We love Roatan and West Bay! Thank you for a wonderful day! Highly recommend!

Value out of 10 this place gets a 5/10 if just staying in rooms. And a 3/10 if you get the all inclusive packages. The water from shower and sink is salty, inexcusable for prices offered. Also, water temp goes from cold to scalding hot and never very constant. Lots of sewage or seawater smell near the 5 floor building (pacific oceanic, no it’s not near the beach) everywhere. The food is pretty good and consistent but offers very low value. Only disappointment we had was the fried fish roatan fish. Too dry and small for our taste and price and have had better elsewhere for same price. Service is okay and friendly but management runs them lean leading to long wait times and prevents them from giving excellent service. (Symptom of Covid worldwide everyone runs service departments lean at the expense of employee happiness/work life balance and customer experience) The pool is okay. However, if you have kids I recommend you stay at infinity bay resort instead. It’s a much nicer pool. If you don’t have kids and or don’t care about the pool. Paradise beach it is. Like others have mentioned don’t waste your time eating at infinity bay beach. All you can ask for in Honduras from a restaurant is consistency and paradise beach has it. And it happens to be consistently good. The food is this resorts saving grace. Stayed over 3 weeks and beside the fish not being to my liking it was consistent. Things management could do to help, staff 1-3 more people than needed at restaurant at least on weekends. Actually tap into city treated water not a well, revamp or rerun sewage/water drainage pipes and sort out the hot water mess on the pacific oceanic building. Overall this is a 3 star hotel at the moment. Need to at least staff up on weekends to up the attentiveness up to a 4 star.

The place looked good, but the service was terrible. We paid for a honeymoon sweet but it wasn't available when we got there and have not received our refund. The food was good but it took an hour to receive it and another 30 minutes to receive the bill.

DO NOT STAY HERE! IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. These are all the things we dealt with on a simple 4 day trip. 1.) No hot water for 2 days. They couldn’t switch our room nor did they offer to compensate us in anyway. We had to call maintenance 6+ times and twice they causes leaks one of which went into bedroom and soaked clothes / luggage. 2.) Day of arrival – No food available on all inclusive plan during ‘snack time’ until 1 hour after promised. It was 3 chicken wings, cold fries, on a paper plate. 3.) Adjoining rooms – we requested a key multiple time for the common door and one never provided. 4.) We were told hotel had private beach area for guest. This is not true – beach vendor invade your personal space and bother you on average every 90 seconds. 5.) Lunches – Was told I couldn’t wear mens swimming trucks to dinner even through there were several people in bathing suits including females in bikini tops. 6.) Day of Departure – Was told we couldn’t eat lunch even though we purchased an all inclusive plan.

My first time going to Roatan for a family vacation and all I can say is that it was wonderful. The scenery was beautiful very natural from the pool, flanked by tropical trees, flowers to the breathtaking white sand, and the beautiful clear sea, and the delicious beach restaurant, it was wonderful. The staff members were polite and always with a smile greeting us. Thanks to Marvin in the beach for making sure we were comfortable. Thanks to Henry in the restaurant making sure everything was good with our food. And Rafael for making our trip unforgettable. Paradise beach we will come back .
