I can't say enough good things about this shop! I got my advanced certification with Nick who was so friendly, helpful, and fun! He explained everything in a great way so I understood the theory and took care of me under the water. Ricky is also amazing to dive with! They are patient and kind! Both Nick and Ricky are great to dive with and find every animal out there, big or small. The boat captains, staff, and owners are all so friendly. I've never been to a place that has such a friendly and positive culture! Gil is also an amazing photographer that the dive shop has! I would highly recommend this shop for training and or fun dives! I even did a shark dive with them!

Had an amazing time diving with Sun Divers during my stay in Roatan. Mie (Mia) was my instructor for Advanced open water & was the absolute best! She was encouraging (especially when I was totally annoyed with myself), patient, kind & an amazing teacher :) All of the Sun Diver employees do an excellent job making sure you’re enjoying yourself & staying safe. The DM’s were always close by and made sure everyone was okay. The Captains were super helpful & friendly! The dives were always around 60 min. I learned so much on this trip & am thankful I was able to dive with this shop. Thank you all so much! I can’t wait to come back & dive with Sun Divers again!

Sun Divers is a wonderful dive shop, full of folks who care about the ocean and giving their customers a great experience on the beautiful reef! Our son finished his certification and his instructor, Nick Griffiths, was incredible - so patient, calm, and easy going... teaching without droning and keeping everything engaging for a 12 year old! Nick was also a great dive leader - showing us all kinds of small creatures we'd otherwise miss, while still pointing out the "big stuff" too. The dive shop is well equipped, has top notch boats, excellent boat captains, and a group of folks who care about their jobs and the folks they serve.

Sun Divers Roatan is absolutely the place to go for diving in Roatan. I had the pleasure of getting my Open Water Certification with Nick as my instructor and it was everything I ever could have asked for. I never felt unsafe in the water and Nick gave me so much confidence as a new diver! Val the manager is so kind and bubbly, she was an instantaneous friend and just a wonderful human to interact with. The entire staff at the shop are incredible people, they make you feel like family as soon as you walk in. This dive shop is something special and I hope anyone reading this will do themselves the favor by visiting Sun Divers Roatan. I’ll forever be grateful for this amazing experience!

Great dive school and operator. Natalie and Shannon are super kind and always trying to make your trip unforgettable. Also the other instructors and divemasters are professional and are in love in what they are doing. Exceptional thanks to Irena for being a great instructor for the rescue diver lvl. For fun divers, they try to visit multiple different sites and also try to fulfill special wishes. The diving with you was exceptional, if not the best I've had so far in my 5 years of diving. Will co e back to this paradise:)

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Owners Shannon and Natalie we super friendly and accommodating especially when my wife had ear issues after her first dive. Staff is super knowledgeable and super friendly. Always helping and making the dive experience exceptional. The beautiful dive sites don't hurt either. If you are looking for fun dives, discover scuba dive or any certification this is the place to go. Thanks for a wonderful time. Loved hunting lion fish too... Thanks!!!

Shannon and Natalie run a great outfit! We did 7 morning dives and 1 night dive during our stay, and every dive was great. We dove with Nick most of the dives and he was an excellent divemaster. Had the pleasure of seeing turtles, eels (one free swimming), nurse sharks, sea horses, and plenty of reef fish. If you’re looking for a dive outfit in Roatan, Sun Divers is the one - hands down!

Best dive shop on the planet. Professional atmosphere. Immaculate equipment. Loveliest staff of highly experienced sweethearts. You can feel the love here from the owners to the students. I went from 0 to 11 dives and an Advanced Open Water cert with these guys and really felt like part of the family. Can't say enough good things!

We have so many great things to say about this place! So glad this dive shop was recommended to us because we definitely didn’t need to look anywhere else. The owners- Natalie and Shannon are so friendly and really involved with their divers. It’s like being part of a family. All the dive masters are also so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate- you can really learn something from all of them. Val was an amazing open water teacher- which made us feel comfortable to continue on and get our advanced! Nico was such a fun and sarcastic teacher who helped accelerate our knowledge for our advanced open water, that we left the island with over 20 dives. We also dove with Nick, Anna and Ricky- and diving with each of them was a unique experience like when we found dozens of lettuce sea slugs on one sand patch. We didn’t get to dive with Mekela but she was such a fun energy in the dive shop! They are not about getting as many divers out as possible here- they care about the quality of the experience and want each individual to have a great time. The boat captains are also very welcoming and helpful! After spending two months here we really felt like these people were family. Can’t wait to come back and see everyone again! Highly highly recommend Sun Divers and it would be a shame to go anywhere else. Really think you’d be missing out! -Ryan and Heather

Sun Divers is the top notch dive operation you're looking for while on a dive vacation. After doing my extensive research for a dive outfit in Roatan I narrowed my search down to Sun Divers. I'm so glad I did! My wife & I completed 11 Dives while on the beautiful island of Roatan and they all were with Sun Divers. The Boat captain & Dive Instructors, were absolutely amazing. We never did any dives with more than 5 divers to a group, our dives all were on average of 60 minutes and most importantly Sun Divers did a great job of placing divers of equal levels within the small groups. Fiona, ARA, Mia & Ricky were our dive guides throughout the week and they both were absolutely AMAZING!! They made us feel very comfortable and showed us all the beautiful sea life all while giving us space and allowing us to enjoy our dives. Leah & Matty were super awesome as well! When we return to Roatan we hope to they're showing us Roatan's beauty under the sea they rock too! SUPER HUGE EXTRA THANK YOU TO FIONA WHO WAS OUR DIVE GUIDE FOR OUR 100TH DIVE WHILE IN ROATAN! Sun Divers is the best!!! I got my open water scuba cert here with Diego who was so friendly, helpful, and chill (which was great for me because I’m a bit more anxious). All the dive shop staff were so friendly and helpful even if you weren’t diving with them. We were able to even swim with dolphins during our surface interval since the captains are so good at keeping a lookout at everything around the water (in and from afar). Overall I had such a good first time experience and always felt safe on my first dives and night dive. The bonus here is the shop cat AC (named since she was first spotted on an AC unit) who is so friendly and a nice little greeter once you step off the boat. Would highly recommend to anyone but especially first time divers. The bonus is the rides to the dive sites are under 20 minutes.

Sun Divers excelled in every parameter you could ask for in a dive shop. Everyone on the staff was friendly, full of knowledge, helpful, and professional. The equipement, from the botties to the boats was in perfect shape and well maintained. They prioritize safety and are eager to make your diving experience the best possible.

What an amazing team! Very welcoming and knowledgeable. I can't thank everyone enough - Natalie, Christina, Matty, Val, Ali, Ricky, Orlin, and Elkin. I'm sorry if I missed any of the team. The warm welcome from email to check in was wonderful. The staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable about the Roatan marine life. Ricky is one of the best spotters I've dived with. They all are passionate about diving and Roatan which you don't always see at dive shops. I felt safe and well taken care of. I walked in only planning to do two dives and left completing eight memorable dives including my first night dive as well as some other "first" experiences. We visited a different dive site every dive. They keep the dives to small groups which exemplifies the experience. So many shops have 10 or more divers which in my opinion is not the same experience. Hats of to an incredible operation and team of FUN professionals! I would recommend Sun Divers and plan on being back in the near future.
