The
worst
experience
of
my
life
in
an
airport.
I
did
my
first
solo
travel
trip
to
Roatan
and
I
got
stopped
not
once
to
inspect
my
belongings
but
TWICE!
Mind
you,
this
airport
is
no
bigger
than
one
terminal
at
an
average
airport.
According
to
them,
this
was
a
"random"
inspection,
the
inspection
was
a
body
inspection
in
addition
to
opening
my
bags
and
checking
my
shoes.
"Randomly"
check
me
TWICE
within
a
30
feet
distance
from
the
previous
check.
I
am
Hispanic
and
truthfully
they
were
so
biased
as
to
whom
they
would
stop
and
from
my
entire
flight
not
one
Anglo
American
got
stopped.
If
you
are
Hispanic
you
will
get
"randomly"
selected
so
be
warned.
I
was
heartbroken
to
see
how
my
brownness
instigated
such
actions
at
this
airport.
The
first
lady
even
had
the
nerve
to
say
"she
speaks
Spanish"
to
her
colleague
like
it
was
more
okay
to
detain
me,
why?
because
I
would
not
protest?
Well
I
will
submit
a
formal
complaint
for
discrimination
not
just
because
I
noticed
what
I
noticed,
but
for
purposefully
targeting
people
of
color.
I
am
a
single
female,
brown,
and
spoke
Spanish.
I
don't
think
I
will
ever
return,
I
had
promised
my
family
I
would
take
them
to
see
how
nice
everything
was,
but
now
I
am
not
so
sure
I
will
ever
return.
I
rather
spend
more
money
elsewhere
than
have
to
experience
this
type
of
discrimination
and
embarrassment
again.
