We loved our stay at Camp Bay and can't wait to go back.
One piece of advice though: it's in a very rural/remote area. So if you're planning a trip don't count on being able to easily buy for more sunscreen or something.
(Don't be fooled by the nominally short distance (~25mi) to the airport. Speed limits are low, and it takes every bit of an hour to get up there (1.5h from West End).)

Very chill! Beach, kitesurfing, hammocks, good food and drinks! Worth the trip, just be sure you stay a while!

Amazing experience! Located on the more remote less trafficked east end of the island. Positioned perfectly on the beach, but still surrounded by nature. Wonderful family owned establishment with kitesurfing on premises. Scuba a short walk down the beach and fantastic bar/restaurant.

We definitely loved this place the only downside is the smell of sewage when it rains. The restaurant is very good, breakfast was homemade, even the bread. We're looking forward to going back

We really enjoyed our stay. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and really truly relax... welp this is the place. You get a jungle and beach type experience at the same time. The food is good and the ladies at the resteraunt are amazing. Chris, the host is extremely personal and ensures everyone is ok. Love our time here... just cut to short.

Camp Bay Lodge was absolutely gorgeous! The facilities were very nice and the beach front was pristine. The staff were all extremely friendly and the food on site was great! Camp Bay Lodge is a hidden gem and an amazing place to unplug and rest!

Camp Bay is a beautiful hidden gem. Its tucked away far from the hussle and bussle of the west end. If you are looking to disconnect and enjoy some quiet, it is very much worth the drive.
The Lodge was clean and simply but nicely decorated. The rooms have fans and louvered windows so you can take advantage of that nice wind coming off the ocean in the evenings.
The restaurant and bar have so much to enjoy. My partner and I are vegan and had no trouble. Plenty of vegetarian/vegan options and they will make a vegan breakfast as part of your stay each day. The food and drinks are priced fairly. Drinks are delicious and strong! ;)
All the staff are amazing and so kind. My partner and I were genuinely sad to leave.
I highly recommend getting a boat tour over to Port Royal through the mangrove forest. There are some really great snorkle spots there. If you like hiking, ask for a guided tour up the ridge from Larry. You will see an incredible view from the top of the entire island and Larry will treat you with stories and history the whole way along.

The camp was well laid out and very comfortable and safe. The rooms were clean and the staff was wonderful. We met many interesting people from many different countries and look forward to our next trip to CBL.

Comfortable, relax, natural, delicious and professional. That’s what we enjoyed at the Camp bay Lodge for two weeks in April 2022 with are two kids (4&2 years old).
The food is fresh, local and tasty (thanks Miss Rachelle). Hot fresh coffee served every morning at 6:45. Breakfasts are cooked and served when you ask. We made are own lunches in are cabana and enjoyed the dinner menu of the lodge…especially the ceviches, fish and the gazpacho.
The rooms are cozy and confortable. We had the Sunset Cabana which has a big balcony with a view on the water and the trees. We slept like babies!!
The beach is 20 feet from are room and is cleaned everything by Pedro. We appreciated the great big peer to enjoy the sunset every night with a drink. Bring your camera ;)
The wind was front and center for 12 days out of the 14. The kite school has good equipment and the instructors are top (thanks Vito, Jardel and Junior).
A special thanks to Chris and Marilou for their hospitality, the love and care that they bring to the lodge and their knowledge of the island.
We are already planning on going back next year.

We had an amazing time at Camp Bay Lodge, especially while Kite Surfing!
The location is far off but definitely worth the drive. Beach and hotel / restaurant are beautiful and clean. The kitchen offers great food and the staff is very friendly and lovely!
Chris and his team really know what they do when explaining and teaching kite surfing and make it an incredible experience. I (beginner) felt very safe and supported at all times and the guys took time and made an effort to explain everything. The equipment seems to be new and well taken care of.
This was definitely a highlight of my trip! Also for anyone who is not into Kite Surfing, I can recommend to check out this place and enjoy the calm atmosphere and good food - and especially Chris' hospitality, who everyday makes an effort to welcome his guests individually and chat! :)
Thanks a lot for everything and hope to see you again very soon!

My friend and I stayed at Camp Bay Lodge over the new year period and had a fantastic time. The setting is incredibly quiet and peaceful allowing you to fully disconnect and relax but, at the same time, offers fun activities on site/next door including kitesurfing and diving for those looking for more adventure! The staff are immensely helpful and friendly and by the end of our stay felt more like family!
I would recommend packing sunscreen and insect repellent for your stay as the nearest town/supermarket is a bit of a way away.

My girlfriend and I drove here all the way from West End. We read off a blog that they had the best seafood on the island.
Getting here is an adventure since the last 1/3 of the way becomes a dirt road riddled with pot holes as if there was a bombing raid. If you have a truck or an SUV, it's not a problem, but if you have a rental sedan, just take it easy but it will take you longer than expected to get here.
When we got there, the atmosphere is very relaxed. We ended up getting some drinks and ceviche which was ok, definitely not the best seafood we've tasted on the island. Prices were higher but given how the remote the place is, it's not unexpected. The beach itself is beautiful but definitely rougher seas than in West End. The water seemed murkier and had layer of seaweeds trying to come ashore.
If you want a really quiet, remote, relaxing experience this might be the place for you. If you wanted to check out local restaurants and have a bit more freedom, you might feel a bit more trapped on this side of the island as points of interest here are very sparse.

Great place to stay on the east side of Roatan. Very quiet and peaceful, especially in the evenings. La Sirena is just down the road for a change of scene. They provided snorkel and kyaking gear, and helped arrange the excursions we wanted. We were only able to stay 3 nights, and were sad to leave. Highly recommend the Camp Bay Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat! Would definitely like to go there again!

A wonderful laid back retreat on the relaxed end of the island. We had a great one night stay here. The employees are very friendly, the food is great, the setting is ideal for relaxed and away from it all, and the rooms are airy, clean and comfortable.
Note some rooms have AC and others don’t. We asked to switch to one with AC and for an extra $20 it was totally worth it.
The lodge is literally 75 ft from the ocean. If you don’t like the sound of waves then maybe earplugs? But we definitely didn’t need them.
