If I could give this place no stars I would. Be warned: their termination policy stinks & is equal to robbery. I put my membership on medical freeze in December 2020 & the freeze would have been effective through July 2021. Because my problem hasn't been resolved & may not be by July I decided to terminate my membership today, 3/10/2021. I found out that in order for me to terminate my "inactive" membership (thought it was only frozen), it would have to be in active status. Reactivating my membership gave them the ability to charge me for April, & then the termination would be effective in May because of the 30-day notice clause in the contract. My issue with this is that first, my membership was on medical hold through July so wouldn't this fulfill the "30-day" notice policy? Which is ridiculous because some situations, like losing a job, doesn't give you 30 days!!! And second, if my membership was "inactive" & can't be terminated, then how can my membership AUTOMATICALLY reinstate come July 1 & monthly fees charged without me coming in to activate it? If I an "inactive" membership can't be terminated without activation, then it certainly cannot & SHOULD NOT be reactivated automatically without member signature especially if it's on medical hold. It's just a way to get more money out of people. It's like a termination fee. I have been a member at other gyms & never heard of this. When I was a member at Gold's & Powerhouse I was able to terminate my membership effective immediately & no charge the next month. This guy is a millionaire & feels the need to take people for one extra month?? It doesn't look like he's hurting for money so how's one month going to hurt him every once in a while when a member decides to terminate regardless of reason? What's $59 to him? Especially during a time when people are hurting because of lost wages. Shame on him. Only in America. So for that reason I will not be going back to Team 85 & I wouldn't recommend that gym to any of my friends or anyone who asks. I should find a good attorney & sue him for aggravation & financial hardship. What a jerk.

Worst customer service ever. My family and I have been going to this gym on and off since 2016. I am a medical student who is home for a few months, so I signed up for the college student membership. While signing up, I was explicitly told that the membership goes through the end of November. When I went today (11/29), I was told that my membership was cancelled. I asked if it would be okay if I worked out for the day since I was told that the membership goes through the end of this month and I came with my brother so I would have to wait for him to finish. Edgar was the most rude person I have ever interacted with. Not only did he immediately dismiss me, he also did not even allow me to sit on the couches to wait for my brother. I could have easily renewed on the spot, but I was given no options to do so and was treated horribly after paying so much money. If I am going to pay almost $70 a month, all I ask is for basic human respect. I will never be going back to Team85-- not at all worth the money. Instead I will spend that exorbitant amount of money or less for a gym with people who treat me with respect and kindness.

Very nice facility. Sad part is the owner ruins that. Probably one of the most ignorant people I’ve ever crossed in my life. Tried to fight me over a parking spot. Keep in mind I’m from out of the area and don’t know the ins and outs of his parking. When I did get out of the car to separate his threats from my family who was inside, he ran away and called the chief of police who he had on speed dial. Very ignorant and unprofessional.

Good luck trying to cancel your membership. You want to talk to someone? They’ll never answer. You think your contract is up after two years? Nope, they just enroll you into month to month automatically. Nice gym but it’s run and maintained by scumbags. And whoever replied to my review. If they’re always available to talk why did no one from membership services pick up when I called twice? I sent my cancellation in writing and I’m still waiting for a confirmation. Spend less time replying to my review and spend more time doing actual work

What more could you want? This place offers every class you can think of, great swimming pool, childcare for members, open early closes late, and friendly staff. They have two floors of equipment plus a HUGE field house and basketball court. I love this place. I take classes as early as 5am. I never have to wait in line for equipment and I don't have to worry about germs because this place is super clean. I always see someone cleaning equipment or mopping the floors, they also take your temperature prior to walking in and provide you with masks if you forget yours at home. The trainers are also fun and welcoming and there is a "no pressure" vibe to commit to anything. My daughter also takes swimming classes here and she loves it. I highly recommend this place.

The swim lessons they offer are fabulous, this is our second session with them. However, last summer my daughters (3&5) were allowed in the splash area prior too and after their swim lessons (usually no more than 10 minutes before or after). This year they were reprimanded by the woman in charge of swim, because we’re not members they’re not allowed to swim, although we are paying a hefty price for these swim lessons. It would be a different story if we were told this prior to signing up, but we weren’t. We will be finding a different facility to to continue with in the future. I’ve spoken with other parents in the same situation and they share the same sentiment.

Terrible Experience my kids were not treated fair. They mentioned something about exploring the Field House but when we arrived, they told my kids that they don't "belong" here. First time I've ever become upset enough to leave a review. Would not recommend.

Paid member for almost 2 years. First year paid for private swim lessons for my twins. When the teacher left they were never able to find a replacement OVER 1 year ago. They still can't get classes and they won't refund the paid classes either. Also, membership requires 30 days of cancelation, but you need to cancel before the 30 of the previous month. So if I cancel today 13th, I will be charged the full membership for October, meaning 47 days' notice NOT 30 days. It is an amazing place until ONE thing goes wrong. Military family, I used to tell all my family about this place, but right now I am going to use the same “advisement” to avoid this place at all costs. Signed: Current member who can't cancel my membership since I can't physically go to the gym.

Absolutely horrendous customer service, good luck canceling your membership, its easier to cancel your credit card. All they want is money and youll get hit with multiple "cancelation fees" along with being forced to pay an extra month when you quit. I also was charged twice after canceling "by mistake" and when I brought this up they required I bring a bank statment in to prove it and then canceled my father's account instead of mine.

This is the worst gym I have ever been apart of. I have been going here on and off for the past couple of years and every time I give them a chance I end up hating them even more. First of all, every single worker in there is rude. They will talk down to you if you ask them any sort of question. Second, dont try to cancel your membership because they literally will not let you no matter the circumstances. You would think a gym that labels itself as one that "cares about their guests" would be better. I generally would warn anyone about coming to this gym. Its a money grab and a scam.

Overall the facility is phenomenal. There are a lot of amenities to utilize. Very clean, amazing showers, friendly staff, fancy variety of machines, courts, free classes I can sign up for the day before or day of, free child care, etc. Unfortunately the hours are crazy, no matter what time I come during the day wether it be a couple of hours before closing or early in the afternoon I cannot get in a good workout. There are lots of machines but not a very big area for free weights. I try to go down to the field house in hopes of it being emptier there and it’s the same as inside the gym. It’s always very crowded and sometimes everything is taken and I can’t even get in a quick workout. Because of this I have grown very unmotivated to come to the gym. It’s a very popular gym and I can completely understand why. They are very accommodating especially for military members and veterans. I’m just unsure if I would want to keep a membership for a gym I can barely get a workout in, maybe if it was 24 hrs I would be willing to come in very late or early to get a workout in peace.

When you try to leave, they force you to pay an extra month's membership. Equipment is fine but it's usually so crowded you can't use half of what you'd want to. They offer free classes which are pretty good. It would be nice if they changed up the class schedule more to accommodate people who work normal hours. Overall, customer service is lacking and a it's bit over priced for a crowded gym.

I have been coming to this gym for over 4 years. Great gym, friendly customer service and I referred multiple too this gym. But, lost my credit card and missed the withdrawal date by 3 days and once made aware I corrected my billing and was charged a 25 dollar late fee and asked if as a loyal patron if it could be waived and was advised if they do it for me than they would have to do it for everyone else. Customer loyalty doesn’t exist. Bad taste in my mouth, no longer sending referrals.

First time visiting with my boyfriend as a guest, absolutely loved it! From the spacious design to all the things there were to do. Everyone there is so friendly, minds their own buisness and the guest fee is only $20! This membership is SO worth it. Can't wait to get mine 😊

This is the cleanest gym on the planet. I’m not kidding, the whole place including the locker rooms smell fresh.

I have been a member of most gyms in the area. I must say, Team 85 make you feel welcomed from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave. Edgar welcomes you with a big hello. When you leave he tells you to have a great day and to be safe. They have cleaning staff around the clock. This is by far the cleanest gym in the area. They also offer a new class called Jump Fit. By far the best class I have taken. I am so glad I joined.

Always nice when Team85 removes a review… here it is again in a nutshell… overpriced gym with staff that doesn’t care, go elsewhere.

I feel very comfortable at Team85. It's always clean, staff is great, and the members are respectable. I don't know another gym where you get everything included in your membership like this! Sauna, pool, field house. Definitely recommend to people

Always pleasant, friendly staff. Gym is clean. I wish they would reopen the lockers, showers, and drinking fountain as have the other gyms.

Great gym! Generally this gym isn't too crowded at all, and there is plenty of space and machines. The staff and Edgar have always been very nice and welcoming to me. So far the best gym I've been to. Tons of classes and you get the pool and field house. The only downside is they have two cafes that are hardly ever open, and when the one is open, they only have protein type shakes to get (limited hours). It's ok, I'm only ever looking for a protein shake, but at $75 a month you think it would be staffed more often with their intended menue.

It has become evident that the construction of the new luxury apartments has taken priority over running the gym efficiently. If you’re looking for a new gym, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

The environment, equipment, and people here are all exceptional. If you are serious about your fitness, everything here will constantly motivate you to your goal.

I actually really like this gym and the people who work there (except the person who took my last phone call) but they simply rob you at the end of your membership. Before I continue, I get it "You signed the contract" but it's simply a case of common decency on their end. Who would write a contract that adds an extra month to your membership just to quit, Even when you are in a financial stress. The owner who is a multi millionaire has made millions more off our community and regularly shows up in a Lambo to work out but still needs an extra 75 bucks a month from people trying to make ends meet, it's disgusting. They go out their way to make things hard to quit and then comment "WELL YOU SIGNED THE CONTRACT SORRY!" I quit last month because of finance problems and not only did they make me pay an extra month which you know fair enough It was in the contract but they also charged my another 45 dollars for yearly maintenance fees for a gym I won't be using then when I called a condescending lady on the other end tried to explain to me what a year was. Frustrating to say the least. This is a really well stock facility with some really nice people working there, but I hope they start to actually care about the people in the area they service and stop nickel and diming them with sneaky business practices.
