👍👍 A really lovely park just off the main street, you can buy a coffee or some picnic items from the local bakeries etc. The location is fantastic with gorgeous views from any of the benches. Picnics are popular and walks along the canal are a must. People often mention park, walk, good, kids, canal, great, Lovely,

Such a lovely park with plenty to do for all ages. There is a public restroom, small children's and toddlers park fenced of to keep them safe also a park for the older children. This park is very popular especially the skateboarding area, used by all ages from toddlers to younger adults and the older guys Crown Green bowls are also a big favorite with the community ,the hold matches throughout the year. This would be a great place to take a picnic or even use the local shops for lunch. There is a very good selection of cake and coffee shops that do take away .

Very clean and tidy park. There is a great skatepark for the children. Flower beds were stunning. Coffee van was there. The toilets were open too. Lovely to walk down to the canal locks.

I go here often to walk my dog, and he loves it! There is a group that volunteers to help the park get better called Friends of Memorial Park which is full of amazing people. The canal is nice and in a good location opposite the town centre and next to asda. Perfect, large place to hang out with friends in playground, skate park or anywhere else! Main place people go for the parade and carnival and the memorial is heartwarming.

Lovely park! Plenty of space for the kids and dogs to run around. We love the fact there are goal posts on the field. So many nice friendly people about as well.

A well tended and well attended park. Different parts with age appropriate equipment means everyone can play and feel safe. There was some litter, and in the rough grass there was some dog dirt. But not anywhere near as bad as most other parks we visit.

Fabulous for adult's, children and dog's. A must for residents and visitor's. It's also a gateway for many walks and attractions around and beyond the surrounding area.

A good community park. Excellently maintained by volunteers, some bad eggs try to vandalise the park - but generally it's kept on top of. Events there are great, beautiful bowling green, thoughtful memorials for the fallen. Skate park and skaters are generally respectful and friendly, and very tolerant of kids (and parents who walk through the ramps getting in the way). See above about bag eggs, a couple of numpties do go to the skate park after dark. You may even see lads on scrambler bikes wearing balaclavas, hopefully karma will teach them what others have not been able to.

Very nice park with great views. Coffee shops nearby and nice for a walk along the canal. You can feed the ducks there. There is a skate park, basketball court and two playgrounds and there's a library. Something for everyone!

Lovely views, close to main road and rail transport and shops/cafes. Adjoins the Peak Forest Canal with its famous flight of locks. Public toilets available. Plus library, bowling green and two childrens' playparks.

Lovely views , plenty of seats for a sit. Has a bowling green, though private I think but lovely to sit. Also has a children's play area. You can walk down the park and join the canal to prolong your walk.
