A real hidden gem in the heart of Yorkshire. Well spaced out camping and caravanning pitches all with electric hookups. Well stocked fishing lakes for those looking to relax. A reasonably priced cafe on site. Clean and well looked after toilet and shower block with pot washing facilities. For those lucky to own an electric car there is a charging point for you. The best way to book is through the website. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Started out from warrington 6am arrived 8am visited the on site tackle shop I found it well stocked and the staff very friendly. Then breakfast at the on site cafe which to be fair could of been a lot better. I haven't been drawing well of late but drew sycamore 20 which meant nothing to me but none the less the maggot approach was recommended by many as the way forwards we fished from 10.30 am to 4 pm 5 and a half hour match which is good you certainly get your monies worth . I fished a combination of shallow and the edge also had a deep deck rig underneath my shallow line the shallow line was far the best line at 10 inches. I weighed in 163lb 11 oz which came nowhere but I had a brilliant day defiantly go again. Overall a brilliant experience one which should be tried by more people the only bad point I think was the cafe.

Great fishing complex with 9 lakes. Plenty of fish to catch and well worth an overnight stay too. Also they make a great breakfast for a reasonable price too.

A great fishing complex which has 10 lakes 3 dedicated for pleasure only and 3 for match fishing and pleasure fishing. The largest lake is only for 24 hour fishing which has to be booked in advance. The complex boasts a snack bar and tackle shop which are both reasonably priced, as well as toilet facilities. Car parking is available through out the site. The day passes are Priced at £9.00 per person which is reasonably priced

It was very nice and fun there. There are lots of bigger and smaller fish, which you can catch quite easily, even if you're not an expert in fishing. My brother caught about 70 fish in a few good hours, although we couldn't take them home, but it was fun.

Great fishing, great tackle shop, great cafe. All at a reasonable price. There are plenty of lakes to choose from. It is possible to drive right up to many of the pegs which is a huge bonus for people with mobility issues and also in the event of sudden downpours

First visit to The Oakes today with my 13 year old son who was doing the fishing, we are both fairly new to fishing and still have a lot to learn, we had a great time and the owner gave us good advice as to how to fish the Poplars, nice to go to a fishery that welcomes young anglers, my son was made up and caught 7 lovely Carp. Really enjoyed our day here.

PEG 45 CEDAR Fished not good, but, most likely me very still water that is not the norm in North Yorkshire. lost a real lump in the margin late probably foul hooked it, didn't rain which is always a bonus fished pellets hard and expanders. Enjoyed the day Thank You.

Fabulous camp site! Level hardstandings with grass too and EHU. Great TV reception and a good 4g phone signal. The facilities were new and immaculately presented and beautifully warm too. If you're into fishing it's next to the fishing lakes. If you're not into fishing it's still a brilliant site on it's own merits. The nearest pub ( Ye Jolly Farmer, they serve food too ) is about 1.8 miles away and an easy cycle ride if you've got bikes! Great place, we will definitely be going back here.

Never had a bad days fishing here yet, fished it quite often throughout this year, not managed to fish all lakes yet but the 1s I have been on, have all been decent, especially the poplars. Run by decent, friendly owners and staff, all facilities you would need are available from toilets to a cafe, nice food at decent prices too. Will definitely continue to visit here as often as possible, and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys fishing or even time away in a caravan, they have a decent caravan/campsite too which I've also stayed. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wow this place is special. Second visit this year for a match and although it didn't go to plan for me it was still a great day

One of the best managed lake estates in the north. Excellent tackle and bait shop with good stock of key brands and products. Rob will always provide advice on methods and what produces on each lake. The lakes are well managed, generously pegged with thoughtful landscaping, even on busy days it can feel like you have the place to yourself. There’s a cafe which is a little behind the times catering wise but good for refreshments

Excellent venue. Plenty of lakes to suit all needs. A cafe, a bait and tackle shop and toilets on site. The owner is friendly and willing to give tips. Plenty of good fish in well tended lakes. So impressed my wife has booked a weekend on their caravan park.

It was my first time carp fishing and I was a bit nervous as I suffer bad from mental health. It was so quiet and peaceful. The baliff who takes your money was very polite and spoke to you nicely. I'm going back on Saturday as I loved it so much.

Took my grandson aged 7 for the 1st time he's ever fished. We were on oak lake which I fished 4 yrs ago as it was always a good place to get a bend in your rod.. ...It never disappointed...He had 4 Carp and a decent roach and we left at 2 O'clock. He enjoyed the fishing more than the excellent sausage bun that he had from the onsite cafe. Even though the majority of the lakes had matches on we only had 7 anglers which was good for me to teach him the basics without encroaching in any of the used swims. He was buzzing to catch and I was for him also.. Well done Grandson Hugo. !!!

We have been travelling here from Ireland now for several years and look forward to the trip every year. A massive complex with great easy access fishing plus a terrific on site shop. We are always given a warm welcome by Tom and Chris and if all goes to plan visiting for as many years as we can.

Been here a few times, I have to say this place is brilliant, went to fish for 1 day and ended up doing 3, fish are in great condition, the regular lads are good to chat with, I honestly can’t fault this place.

Best campsite and fishery. We have fished all over the country and this is our top choice for camping and fishing. Campsite is clean and tidy with outdoor washing up area. Toilets were very clean and showers are available when restrictions are lifted. £18.50 a night to camp and reduced day ticket price when fishing at £6 for 2 rods per person. Fishing was brilliant. We really loved everything about it. 5 stars
