Let me preface by saying I used to love this place. They do a great job seasoning the chicken and the pita is really good but they will not customize your order. This isn't the first time they've done this. My wife and I both ordered chicken shwarma pitas through Grubhub without tomatoes or lettuce and both of them came standard. My wife had ordered a combo which comes with a salad and drink....no salad or drink. The delivery driver was great but Cedar has really gone downhill as far as customer service.

Never ate Lebanese food before. Everything was fantastic. The gyro was very good, and my first time having lamb. Definitely a lamb convert. I will be back again. Also the prices are decent. Given the way the economy is now I think that they're fair prices for what you get, and the portions are humongous. Thank you cedar for a wonderful meal.

Such an amazing experience! Must try place Tried chicken platter and chicken shawarma. You can see them cook the food right in front of you and the food is absolutely fresh the hummus, the lettuce, olives, even garlic sauce was real and fresh. The food was good quality and prices are reasonable for the serving portion. Loved every bite.

I have been coming here for lunch about once or twice a week. I get either the shawarma pita or plate. The food is amazing. I love coming here. Bread is always hot and fresh. If you get a pita, they load it with meat and it's always ready in a couple minutes. If you're looking for authentic Lebanese cuisine, this place does not disappoint! Thank you to the folks at Cedars!

Cedar is awesome! Every time we order something I always am very impressed by the freshness of the ingredients to the pita itself. The pita's are made fresh on a big rotating stone behind the counter. Each and every order we've had has been correct and most importantly made exactly like the time before. There's no rolling the dice when it comes to ordering from Cedar. I'm a big fan of the Gyro Pita combo, the pitas are stuffed full with toppings and bursting with flavor the side salad's dressing is phenomenal. The falafels are crispy and very yummy. Our kids love the Cheese Manakeesh (kind of like Lebanese Pizza). Oh yeah I didn't mention the soups they are great too. Make sure to try something new today and I'm guaranteeing you will enjoy it!

Small, family run. Hole-in-the-wall type place - nothing fancy. But the food is soooo good. I would give the food more than 5 stars if I could. Easily one of the best local Mediterranean restaurants. I love how they have the meat cooking on the rotating spit and it's shaved off right after you order.

Food was great! Such a big portion for the shawarma plate and it was very tasty. I gave a 4 star for service only because my pita was uncovered in the to go bag.

Cedar is essentially a takeout place with places to sit if you feel like eating in. I took what a big chance for me: ordering a gyro. When I was in college, there was a place (that is now closed...) that made the best gyros I've ever eaten - and every gyro I've ever eaten since has been compared to those gyros and found lacking, even disappointing. I've purposely avoid ordering one for years out of fear it would just be another unenjoyable experience. Until now! Juicy, tender, well-seasoned lamb, tomatoes at their peak, a feta cheese sauce with some fresh and some pickled veggies. The best part was the fresh pita bread that was lightly toasted.

Delicious, as satisfying as fast food but with actual nutritious value. Great seasoning balance. Highly recommend. Also the greens they use are very fresh - leftovers keep for several days without wilting/turning. Really great simple humus that highlights the flavor of the chickpea rather than going overboard with the extras. Great pita.

These guys, they do it right. The food is quality, their service is fast, their prices are reasonable. I often eat here a couple times a week, they are my absolute go to quick and cheap eat in Rochester. You can get a healthy falafel or chicken pita for the same price as a fast food lunch with way better quality. And their hummus is second to none. Love Cedar!

Very good vegetarian platter and baklava. Only a few tables and no table service but a pleasant place to eat. The baba ganoush is a milder flavor compared to other Mediterranean restaurants in the area.

Their fresh, homemade pita bread is the best you will ever have. This is our fav Mediterranean restaurant in Rochester. Their homemade hummus is really good too. Humble atmosphere, just a few tables, but their food is delicious and authentic. I'm just crazy about their grilled chicken and "Combo" salad plate. I get it almost once a week. Sooo good.

Cedar is an amazing Mediterranean restaurant. The homemade pita is incredible. The prices and the rest of the food was fresh and delicious. I got the falafel and grilled chicken.

Falafel was dry and crumbeled like dry cornbread. The pita had no sauce. Very disappointed. Leftovers are uneditable

Absolutely fantastic food!! My wife and I love the food the service isn't bad but not exactly warm and fuzzy and the atmosphere is also a little lacking anything more than jeans and a t-shirt would probably be over dressed... but it star of the show is their amazing food so fresh and full of flavor. I highly recommend Crdar!!

Huge portions, delicious pita, flavorful za'tar manakeese, and oh that babaganoush! Very veg friendly.

Cedar provided a gorgeous spread for a big business meeting we held for 20 people. Everyone was pleased with the beautiful flavors and varieties of pitas, appetizers and delicious hummus. All was hot, fresh and ready for early pick up, including the warm extra pita! Our team is so grateful for their hard work and wonderful, kind owner and manager who took our big order the day before.

I love this place! The bread, freshness, and flavor keep me coming back. Everything is obviously made right in the store, authentic and tasty . I would consider pricing reasonable as portions have been cut in half recently. The food is served in plastic clamshells with plastic cutlery, not on plates as depicted in many photos. You place your order and pay at the counter, and they call your name with a to-go bag when your order is ready. Consider many Mediterranean restaurants nearby if you prefer a better sit-down dining experience. Fast paced and busy at times, have in mind you want before you pop in to place your order.

Really great flavors! I got a combo platter and thought the portion was generous for the price. The pita bread was really fantastic too.

Amazing bread, very authentic Lebanese food. Great service. Delicious. Extremely busy round dinner, attracts a diverse range of clientele. Modest seating.

We used Google Maps to look for a decent restaurant for lunch - and we found Cedars! It was close, relatively inexpensive, and had great food.

Good food quality and service overall. All of my order came out quickly and everyone was friendly. The restaurant is small but has enough seating areas to accomodate various group sizes. I ordered take out and you can call or place an order in person. The reason for 4-star is because I found a hair in my salad.... But this could happen to any restaurant regardless of how careful they are. And it is not something I should rate this restauramt based on my first experience. So I will definitely order from here again and I will update my rating at that time.

This was my first time here, after a little googling I decided to get the zaatar manakeesh and the dolma appetizer and I was so impressed by both! I've been to many Mediterranean/middle eastern restaurants and none of them have offered manakeesh. I loved it and I can't wait to come back and try other varieties. The prices can't be beat either. They're so affordable and the portions were generous. Will definitely be coming back

Tried Cedar for a take-out recently and had their falafel plate. Pita was warm and although hummus and falafel were fresh too, personally, it seemed to lack flavor. Having read other positive reviews, would still give it another try and perhaps order something else off the menu.
