A beautiful and majestic monument to Saint Louis IX, and an icon for a city bearing his name. It was completed in 1906, two years after the 1904 World's Fair and located at the front of the last remaining building from that exhibition, the Saint Louis Art Museum. Standing nearby offers up spectacular views of Art Hill and the Grand Basin.

I can't believe this statue can be reviewed. And it's great that the opportunity is here, because the view is spectacular. What's more, this is the start of Art Hill, a favorite place for sledding during the winter. Just be aware though, you actually can't park curbside near the Art Museum. It's hard to see the signs in winter (sometimes covered with snow), and they will instantly stiff you with a parking ticket should you attempt to do so.

This park has a really great view by the statue. There's also a bunch to do such as the museum and the zoo. Highly recommend anyone to make a day trip to this place.

Beautiful statue in front of the art museum. It had a pavilion in front of it, so I couldn’t get the best picture and it’s a shame it is placed there.

If you want a taste of Europe, go sit near the basin and look up at glorious King Louis IX. It's a wonderful experience.
