Kirkwood park is a little gem of a park! It has a great walking trail around the lake that I throughly enjoyed. The children’s park is well maintained and the splash pad is fun for the kiddos. There are grill tables and picnics spots available for daytime use. We had snow cones in the park concessions. Easy access from the road.

Gorgeous park, completely under rated. We were so surprised! Tennis courts, wide green spaces, nice little fishing lake, paved trails, splash pad/spray pad, giant sand box for the littles and 2 playgrounds (little ones and big kids). It was clean, and had everything. There was even a sno cone shop!!! (in front of bathroom pavillion). Kids just loved it. Honestly I would come by myself just to walk the paved trail. It seems they really thought of nature too, several animals made themselves at home including a lizard sunning himself. 10/10.

A wonderful suburban park about a mile west of downtown Kirkwood. It has some good natural trails which are all short, but great for a family walk with the dog.

Nice park with a fishing pond. Never have too much luck catching the fish, but it is still fun to try. Nice paved paths and always plenty of people around. Very dog friendly.

This review is about FISHING at Kirkwood park. The bass fishing there is great and the trout and bluegill fishing is ok. The only thing you must avoid is fishing for catfish. Don’t get me wrong there are SOME in there but very few and the amount of turtles in the lake makes it unbearable. You just get turtle after turtle always beating the fish to the bait. Please do not fish for catfish at Kirkwood park.

We love this park and come here frequently. The lake is beautiful. People frequently fish in the lake, which is fun to watch. Additionally, there are children play areas and book pages from a children's story all around the path so children can read as they walk. There are plenty of pokestops for my pogo people too.

My family and I absolutely love Kirkwood Park! Not only are there plenty of things to do, like fish, play on the playground, and walk around the path. It is the perfect place to have an outdoor celebration or to relax on a bench. It is a beautiful park. ( Also, it is very convenient for my little ones when my daughter has ice skating)!

There is a 2-5 yr playground and a 5& up. The kids can play on either side. The younger playground is surrounded by trees to help keep it cooler. Swings, slides, climbing equipment and sand pit is there. They also had a snow cone stand right by too!

I loved the view. The ice rink is amazing. If you don't have your own skates ( which is recommend) they have loner. They are hokey skates so they are not as good for plain sating but the still are amazing. The worker are so kind and patient if your new. I really recommend this place to anyone. They also have food, and other fun activities.

Gorgeous park. The Lion's Amphitheater has built-in seating with backs! In the afternoon, the audience is facing the sun, so if you want shade, there's plenty of room to bring a lawn chair or blanket and still have an excellent view of the stage.

Love love love this park- have been coming to it since I was a little kid and I'm bringing my daughter to it now because it has something for everybody! Playgrounds, fields to run around in, tennis courts, a small pond, and all the pathways just to walk around and get some fresh air 🩷

Went to a concert there at the amphitheater, so wonderful. They have stadium seating, no need to bring a foldable chair

Great park. There is a play area just for 0-5 years (bring sand toys). Also, play area for larger kids and a splash pad. Plenty of shaded areas and a shaved ice stand. Love it!

Kirkwood Park was perfect for St. Louis Recreational Cyclists' Spring Potluck. Plenty of room in the pavilion for our large group, and it was next to the restrooms. Everybody had a great time.

2 different playgrounds next to each other. Age appropriate for each one. Sprinkler during summer time only. Many BBQ grills and pavilions throughout the park. 2 baseball fields, 4 tennis courts and exercise stations all over the park. Gun range, amphitheater and big fishing lake. Dogs are welcome. Lots of fun and kids to play with. Always an active park. Lots of parking.

Kirkwood Park is amazing! As though I w only visited the pool area, I was thoroughly impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of the areas. There's everything a family could want to spend the day. The daily lifeguard drills are impressive and ensures safety for all, out of 5 stars, Kirkwood Park deserves 10 in my book!!!

So this review is not really about the park itself but more about the Softball League that is ran up there. Been playing in the Sunday Night double header league for 3 years now and it's never been great but now it's not even fun anymore. There are so many ridiculous rules in the league that you feel like you need to take a 101 class to understand how to play there. They also don't take care of the fields at all. The ground is either concrete hard or a slop bucket. The grass in the outfield is normally around 5 to 6 inches long so if the ball leaves the infield, you have to sprint to get the ball if your playing in the outfield. Also the fake fence they have up is more dangerous than it should be. It's just construction netting held up by poles but it's at the perfect height that it will take out your legs and make you land on your head if you are trying to track a deep fly ball. The park is great for kids and walking dogs and stuff hence the 3 stars but the activities there are very poorly ran.

👍👍 Such a beautiful place to walk. Also the meramec is right there and is easily accessible. I'll be coming back here more often. Definitely a good place to being kids although I'd bring bug spray. Good job to whomever takes care of the grounds there. We will be back for sure. 👍 👍 👍

👍👍 Great trail to take a walk, ride a bike, or skate. Cyclist have forgotten trail etiquette and sneak up on you without a courtesy "on your left" Lance Armstrong would be upset.... and if you walk your dog and don't have bags, get them into the grass before they drop a deuce.
