😠 It really breaks my heart to leave a one star review. The front is actually a wonderful climbing gym, the routes are interesting and change often and the staff is incredibly friendly and wonderful - they really try to remember you and engage with you. However, I recently needed to cancel my member... People often mention climbing, kids, staff, time, camp, area, friendly, membership,

It really breaks my heart to leave a one star review. The front is actually a wonderful climbing gym, the routes are interesting and change often and the staff is incredibly friendly and wonderful - they really try to remember you and engage with you. However, I recently needed to cancel my membership because I am moving and I learned that to cancel your membership you have to submit a request, you can not just manage you're account and end your membership, and that's not all. You must have your request viewed within 20 day's of your next charge, so if your request is viewed outside of that 20 day period it will be rejected and you will have to submit a new request within that window. I would have loved to leave a 5 star review, especially for the staff, but there is no reason for them to be handling gym cancelations the way they are other than to try and charge their customers an extra month or two. I hope the gym makes a change and allows their customers to simply cancel their memberships themselves online.

Love this place! Great facility, great staff, and great location! Happy to be a member!! Thank you to the entire Front team for working so hard to find alternatives to keep this gym open through this pandemic and help your members feel safe.

Looks like a nice gym, we wanted to stop here for a quick gym session while we were on the road. Unfortunately on top of the usual waiver there's a 5min video that you can't skip and if you accidentally refresh the page like I did you have to sit there for another 5min to watch the video again (which is pretty much useless to anyone who has already been to a climbing gym). All this for some bouldering in the gym... The price for the day pass was already pretty steep, the staff wasn't too friendly either so we decided to not support this business and went climbing outside instead.

I dislike that they don’t have more membership options.. what if I don’t want the fitness classes or access to other gyms.. the ogden gym is small compared to other gyms in the country & there’s no way in hell I’m paying $85 and a hefty initiation fee compared to an average of $45 for climbing gyms everywhere else in the country (which are usually bigger as well) .. sadly they priced a lot of people out because of greed, with this economy? i’ll climb outside 🤷🏻‍♀️

We love The Front locations. The staff at all locations are always super nice. The parking is always interesting but that is okay, my legs are not broken.

Been going here for about 6 months. Bouldering routes are diverse and challenging but I wish this gym was bigger like the other two in SLC. Cost doesn't seem justified unless you do yoga and work out on their equipment. It's expensive 🤌. This gym also has multiple 10-15 people climbing groups on Mondays mainly (new routes?) that can be obnoxious (backflips on the climbing pads, yelling, consuming a wall). The chill climbing hangout vibe of the gyms I've been to in the past is missing here. Vibe is more clique like with the groups that climb here imo.

PARENTS, if you ever consider their kids summer camp -DON'T GO! RUN AWAY FROM THIS PlACE.This is the most horrible camp experience my kids ever had. 1. NO SAFETY MEASURE. The camp coach won't start the session or supervise the kids for at least 30 mins into the session while all the kids climb on the wall. They let the kids out at least 10 mins early before the session. No one was actively watching the kids during these times. And later when we complained, they call this unsupervised camp time "WARM UPS" They made you sign all these forms so they are clean and clear out of any possible responsibilities even when they are the ones that cause the issue the first place. Oh, after they let the kids out 10 mins before, my kids wanted to go up to the bouldering area, guess what, a staff immidiately came by and told us if we want to climb some more, we need to buy a DAY PASS (this is all within the camp time) 2. EXTREME RUDE even RACIST STAFF. If you are a person of color, don't go here, ever! My kids were picked on the entire time they were in the camp and were accused "stealing snacks" and "fighting all day long" which later we confirmed non of these things happened. And seriously, who accuse kids "stealing snacks'?!!!! How penny pinching can this place be if they can't even give out enough snacks for kids and then accuse them stealing?!!! And when we asked for video proof shows the so called stealing, they refused. And we (two moms) were cornered by their two managers and were threatened. 3. NO INTEGRITY WHATSOEVER. We ended up calling the cops on this place because how unsafe we felt. They were scared and then tried to get us out of the place. They told us they would give my kids refund for the camp if we go to the front desk. The moment we got to the front desk, the manager told us to "manage the refund another day" and when we left the building, the manager told us 'NO REFUND". By the way, all of these were recorded as I was calling 911 and of course when the cop showed up, the manager denied all of these statements. 4. POOR CLASS STRUCTURE. The instructors care nothing about the kids development. Most of the male instructors were just sitting on the bench and instruct kids run around to play games. They are there to babysit(can't even do that well since my kid were severely injured after the second class -non of the coaches said a thing) not to teach. Overall, this is an extremely unsafe place for kids to be, RUN AWAY from this terrible, rude, racist and unethical business.

As someone who doesn't do rock climbing professionally, or even a little, I find this place a good place to come for a casual trip and a fun experience! I came here and the staff show you how to do things, and they help you by giving tips on what to do and what not to do. I really loved coming here, just remember to be safe and come here with someone! I would love to come here again and experience this!

The staff are absolutely incredible. Kind, good vibes, and easy to talk to. The rope walls are relatively short compared to the SLC locations but route setting is excellent, the location is unique, vibes are great all the time, and, if you’re an endurance person, running laps is easy here! Bouldering area keeps you busy with varying wall angles and again killer route setting. This place was my second home from the time I started climbing in October of 2020 until moving down to St. George for school. “Welcome to the Club”

85 bucks a month is literally insane for that. I moved here from a world class climbing gym down I'm California and it was only 45 a month AND WAY BIGGER!! Not to mention by the beach so I know their running costs were hire than here. This just seems greedy.

Went to watch my husband and his friend climb today and had my service dog with me. I was stopped at the door and asked the appropriate Ada questions! Really appreciate that they had that knowledge. We enjoyed our time here!

This gym is great for still climbing in the winter time & not hiking.

I took the group intro class which includes gear rental and 4 hours with an instructor across two days at a very reasonable price. The staff was friendly, experienced, and very willing to share the sport with us. I was outside my comfort zone. As outsiders to the sport, they created space and made us feel welcomed. They went above and beyond while ensuring safety along the way. Thank you Josh, Kendal, and Brian. I'm certain we will return in the future.

They try and scam you out of more money. I signed up for 2 months of climbing and was only given 44 days of climbing. I choose to not donate anything and they still changed me extra and donated to every charity without my permission.

Awesome gym with super friendly staff. Thank you Beni for the hospitality. If I lived in the area and wasn’t just on a business trip then I would have definitely gotten a membership here.

Brought my 17 year old son here with a few friends and did the Top Rope Class with Carlos. He was thorough, patient, and amazing with our group. Would highly recommend taking this class. Great facility!

One of my favorite climbing gyms! Lots of great bouldering problems - good variety/difficulty and a friendly community. They have a very solid training area that includes everything for your basic cardio/strength programs- the piano is a charming and quirky addition too! I also just love all the natural light that comes into this place - it really enhances the overall experience. There's an awesome cozy lounge with free wifi and facing some beautiful mountains. I had such a pleasant and therapeutic session climbing! I wish this could be my home gym - if I am ever passing through Ogden/SLC, I'll definitely come back here!

I’m extremely disappointed at the cost of this gym and all of the fees that are required to pause or initiate a membership. I was a member at a prior gym and the prices were very fair (they also had decent military and student discounts - lowering a one time initiation fee by $20 as a “discount” is not helpful)

Ogden Front is well based. Mostly featuring it's large bouldering area. So many problems to work through. Excellent route setting. The lead area and top rope area in the pit are also well planned. What an overhang! Bring your friends and enjoy the day climbing.
