The cars are wonderful and the people are great, but seeing the beautiful Missouri landscape by rail was disappointing. So much of the track was surrounded by trees, it was impossible to really enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I was able to get a few photos at the very end of the trip that wasn't just trees. If you want a great train trip in beautifully restored vintage cars, this is a great way to do it. If you want to see the Missouri landscaping, try a boat tour or take a leisurely drive through the old roads.

I personally felt it was waste of money, each ticket was $37. When we got on the train the receiving was good, the ticket master came checked our tickets. The cabins were nice and fancy, the only disappointment was there was no scenic views at all. The tour was 2hrs long and trust me the pictures and videos I uploaded were the best once. Not sure if I visited the train ride in bad time, I saw three reviews and felt like it would be the thing I’ll experience in my entire trip to Branson but it was disappointing in fact we also invited our family friends to join us so they don’t miss any scenic view but nope question of scenic in the entire journey. The train goes to one destination and back to Were we started our journey we thought maybe we are getting onto conclusions too soon maybe there is something while we head back, unfortunately it was the same route from were we started that we heading back in the same route.

The rail cars themselves were amazing! I really recommend walking thru each one, and take time to explore. The snack bar was very cool, well stocked with candy and drinks. The staff were all very kind. As far as scenery goes, it was pretty ....but all one note. Not a bad thing, but that's why I recommend exploring the train. It's is a lot of fun.

We chose the round trip train ride. It was about an hour and 45 minutes round trip. The fall foliage was beautiful. We really liked that you could choose any car for the same price. We were able to get in a dome car which was nice especially with the tall trees and mountains. The reason we rated it a 4 is because they come back so much faster than they lead with. The train does not turn around so you see the same side on the way back. I read many negative reviews and I probably would not have enjoyed it as much had it not been in the fall when the trees were so beautiful. Give it a try! It's a reasonable cost and an experience.

We had an awesome and memorable time on The Polar Express train ride. Great time for kids and family alike. The train depot and train was nicely decorated with everything Christmas. There were characters portraying their parts, and very well I would say. Hot chocolate and Christmas cookies were served on the train. The Polar Express story was read along a few Christmas songs. You’ll see some surprise visitors too. And towards the middle of the ride, you’ll go through a beautiful light display that felt like a half a mile long. The prices were very reasonable and well worth it. There’s free parking across the street or paid parking in the parking garage. I would say to get there early, it is a popular attraction. Recommended!

Very nice scenic train ride in nice vintage train. They have snacks, sandwiches and drinks available during the ride and do offer dining with selected runs. They offer veterans discounts for active duty or retired military with VA ID.

It’s a ride worth experiencing if you travel in mid October and November because of the fall colors. 90 min ride - 45 minutes each way. You return the same route you leave, so you will end up with the same views unless you switch your seats. Military members and veterans get 50% off and AAA gets 10% discount. Plenty of free parking around at <5 minutes walking. What I didn’t like about the ride is that the guide was not audible due to noise of bogie and on top of that kids and visitors make it even worse by having loud conversations. I wish the guided tour had audio recording which we can hear using an headphone. The train is in excellent condition and it does have restrooms and a concession booth to purchase snacks and hot/cold drinks. ** you can carry bottled water but not food abroad. You need to purchase food from the concession booth. **make reservations in advance if you want to have a seat in the dome.

We rode the Polar Express. It was so much fun! Great ride for children and adults! You get cookies and hot chocolate. Best of all Santa shows up!
