Lots of great info in here. Are you a music buff? This is your kinda place. Nice set up. They're right next to the famous Renfro Valley Music Barn.

Spur of the moment decision to stop but very glad I did. Provides great insight into the talented country music musicians of Kentucky (and there are many). I really enjoyed the exhibits that describe the evolution of country music through the past several centuries. There are numerous display cases with memorabilia from the artists, including clothing, photos, musical instruments, to name a few. I highly recommend you stop and visit. You can easily walk through the exhibits in under 2 hours.

Great little museum with a lot of information about Kentucky's musicians and history of music in the state. There are also a couple interactive displays that our little one liked. Friendly staff and a cute, gift shop. Small and quick to see, but worth a stop if you're in the area.

It's interesting to see how many music artists came from Kentucky. Plus the history of country bluegrass was fascinating and educational. The gift shop was pretty nice too.

We were extremely impressed with the large amount of music history exhibited. We did get to speak with the executive director, Jessica Blankenship. Her knowledge and love for this region and music radiates. We highly suggest this country music museum.

Very friendly staff and a wonderful museum layout. Just a short drive from the Mt. Vernon interstate area and definitely worth the experience! Wish we lived closer to return, 10/10 recommend

Imagine our disappointment when we drove 200 miles out of our way to visit the museum only to find it closed in preparation of the induction ceremony. It would have been customer friendly to provide notice of the closing on their website or some public notice rather than just a sign on the door. The flashing marquee at their entrance even read that they were open today from 10 - 5. Come on! It seems like communicating to daily visitors before we bump our nose on a locked door shouldn't be that difficult. Not sure when or if we will make the trek again.

Stopped, just to find rest area. Found a gem of a rest area. Lovely setting, historic house and stable. Really clean restrooms. Kind staff and gift shop, left a donation. Stretch your legs, worth the stop.😊

Great museum. Lots of memorabilia including costumes from the beginning of County Music to current day artists. Clean and well displayed. I didn't realize how many artists and producers were from Kentucky. It made me proud to live in Kentucky.

Very cool experience with lots of history. That said, it has the feeling of most state-funded museums that are right on the edge of under funded. The attention to detail is slipping and some of the newer exhibits feel kind of phoned in with labels and placards that look like they were printed on an inkjet printer on plain paper and stuck inside the exhibit with rolls of tape. I appreciate the info but it feels less... museumy... or reverent, maybe.. It just lacks the "wow" factor.. That said, the facilities are clean and nice and everyone was friendly. If you want to see a neat musical history that shaped central and eastern kentucky, this is a good place for it.

A very nice place to wonder through and learn about the musical history of Kentucky. Took about 2 hours, ymmv. Very nice displays and some incredible 'artifacts' of times gone by.

I visited the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame on a weekday and there was no on there but me, which was really nice. It's not a huge building, but it has a good amount of great exhibits and features a ton of great musicians, many of which I did not know even hailed from the state of Kentucky. The admission was cheap to get in. They had a gift shop with some neat things in it. It wasn't too far off the highway and was easy to get to. If you like music or history, I would definitely check this place out.

Such a great little out of the way place! This is the Opry before there was the Opry! The history in this place is amazing!

Well-maintained and friendly staff. Stopped on a whim while on our way through on I-75. Had good information and an interactive area but some of the buttons didn't work.
