Great experience! Had them give a second opinion for engine light/vent valve blockage on my Mercedes. The Mercedes dealer estimate was 2x what Honest1 estimated. Same work, much more personable. If you’re in Prior Lake and own a Mercedes, save yourself some money and let Honest1 take a look. Will definitely be coming back for any future needs! Shout out to John for the excellent service!

Had to get the brakes and rotors replaced on my 2015 Infiniti QX60. Fair price and service was good. Only they changed the air filter and in process got some dirt in, which tripped the engine light sensor and the engine check light was on. I had to come again next day to have that fixed, completely free of charge though, only if the tech would have checked it before might have saved me a trip back. Anyways good customer service nevertheless.

Service was great and people are friendly, but the quote I got from the inspection was kinda outrageous. 377$ to replace a fuel filter on a 2005 Chevy duramax which is a 40$ part and takes 20 minutes to change. Feel bad for the people who pay those prices. Personally won’t go there again because the prices are more than it’s worth to do it myself. But will recommend for non mechanically inclined people.

The Professionalism of the Front Staff is beyond customer service. Troy and the guys make customers feel welcomed, relaxed and leave assured the job was completed with the Best Mechanical Care! I had blown the transmission cooling lines on my Ford F-150, after the work was done I was told that I could come pick up my truck. I didn't make it more than 5 minutes down the road and all of a sudden my engine through the overheating light. Unfortunately I had to stop turn around and bring the truck back, without getting into too much detail, it was a very long and drawn out process to try to figure out what exactly was wrong with it. But in time I was able to work with Troy the service manager, who took care of the whole bill causing my overheating issue which they did end up finding out was the water pump. I greatly appreciate Troy and all the hard work he and his team did for me, and going above and beyond by taking care of that on companies time and money. I felt valued and taken care of and would recommend them to anyone I know.

Nate and the great mechanics did an amazing job at a fair price to fix my Odyssey van, which was in desperate need of attention. He explained everything he thought needed to be done, and in the priority in which they should be done. Even though the list was daunting, Nate was very reassuring in offering positive feedback on why the van was worth the investment and that the work they did would be covered. I couldn’t be happier with the customer service I’ve experienced in the past with Troy and this last time with Nate. Please give a shout out to your mechanics for me - it runs like brand new!

I thought both John & Kurt were very courteous and friendly. They were able to get my son’s car in the shop very quickly. Also, Honest-1 are one of the few people opened on a Saturday. As for the mechanics in the shop, they didn’t do their due diligence. I was charged $75 for them to tell me that my A/C compressor was bad when I already told them the compressor wouldn’t run. Also, to have the compressor fixed the estimate would cost me approximately $900. What I found was that the A/C pressure switch wires were torn off the switch which is a condition to allow the A/C compressor to run. Of course, I didn’t catch that until I pulled the under body splash guards off. I’d be very cautious about taking my vehicles there again. I’d like to update my comments on my experience with Honest-1 Auto. After I posted my first review I received a call from Troy-store manager of Honest-1 regarding my initial comment. He said he wanted to make things right with me so he reimbursed the $75 for the diagnosis and the $189 for vacuuming out the old refrigerant. I was impressed on how quickly I heard back from Honest-1 as they seemed to really care about customer satisfaction. I increased my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. I was hesitant to update my review from to 5 stars because I bought and installed the new compressor and dryer b/c of the incorrect diagnosis. But, I appreciate the great follow-up and making things right with me. Because of the call from Troy, I will be going back to Honest-1 in the future. Thank you Troy!

Friendly, communicated well. Brakes seem a bit soft, likely an adjustment needed.I will let them know, based on past experience with them I don't anticipate a problem. Fair price for the work done.

Long story short I’m pretty blown away. Recently moved to Prior Lake and had to find a new local mechanic and with a name like Honest 1 I had to try it out. Turns out my recently replaced brakes from a previous shop were warped. Honest 1 fully took care of this work just to build my trust. Top of the line customer service throughout the whole process, highly recommend.

Great service. I had a couple vehicles that went in for servicing. There were a few hiccups, but nothing that would deter me from coming back. Both cars were diagnosed and communicated to me prior to servicing to show transparency. The work done is amazing and highly appreciate Troy working with me to resolve the ongoing issues with my vehicles. I would definitely recommend this place if you have car issues. Honest-1 is the auto shop to go.

I have an 2007 Saturn Aura. I had the steering rack and pinion also the alignment done as well.Troy was the one who helped me and he was very kind, understanding and patient. I am very aware it is an older car but I will say the pricing on those things I got done were pretty high along with other work that needs to be done that they quoted me on too. The steering rack and pinion was fine but the alignment still seemed off when I got it back. So I brought it back and they said the tires needed to be rotated since they do tend to be uneven when the alignment isn't right. With the tires rotated, it seems to be okay but not as even with the driving which I hoped it would be. Overall, I will say the staff is very friendly and patient which I thought was the best out of the service, thank you.

The mechanic Adam did an excellent job repairing the rear main engine seal. First time in years that my truck hasn't been dripping oil. I've had fresh card board under it all week and not a single drop leaking out of that 300k mile engine. Very thorough job checking everything associated with part. Great communication and great service!

As always, the service was stellar. Their estimates are always detailed, and the staff is professional. Facility is well appointed and clean. My only complaint and what cost them a star is that their pricing of materials is excessive. The estimated cost of transmission fluid, for example, was nearly 3 times what it would cost me to buy the same from Walmart or Fleet Farm. This adds up quickly when you’re doing a transmission flush. Otherwise, I think they do a great job.

I brought my daughters car in because the blower unit was making noise. Your guys said it was a mouse in the unit and the blower needed to be replaced for $760. I called down the street and they quoted $350. I asked your guys to pull the mouse out and put it back together so I could save $400. They put it back together with the mouse still in the unit. It turns out the blower and bearings were fine and only needed the mouse removed and cleaned. I feel your company tried to take advantage of me. Quoting $750 when it only cost $150 to clean and remove the mouse. Shame on you. Dishonest auto.

Amazing! They made my repair easy. The amount was fair. I love their system on how they update you on everything and show you pictures of proof. They didn't try to pressure me into things I didn't need. I'm definitely going back for all of my auto care.

We’ve taken our vehicles to Honest 1 for the past five years. Service is always friendly, prompt, and professional. We drive two older vehicles and the service options are always presented to us including a cost estimate, and there is no pressure to do more than necessary or within our budget. Clean facilities, too. We’ve always been very pleased.

I had new tires put on at a tire shop. They could not do an alignment because the driver side tie rods were bad. Their quote to replace the tie rods was shocking. The quote from your tech was way lower, and was what i was expecting. I knew then that I should have had Honest1 do all the work. From now on I am going with who I know and trust, the great people at Honest1 in Prior Lake.

John and all of the crew down at the Prior Lake honest one shop were absolutely awesome! I had taken my car to the ford dealer multiple times and they just put Band-Aids on the issues I had. John assured me they would get to the root of all of the issues with my car And they did! My car now runs like it did brand new! I told them I would like to get another hundred thousand miles out of the car and now I honestly feel like I can! I will be back with all of my auto care needs going forward! And ford owners reading this Should run away from their ford dealer and take all their maintenance and repair business to the prior lake honest one shop going forward!

We have been bringing our cars to the Honest1 in Prior Lake for years. They have always done a fantastic job and frequently go above and beyond. I really like that they tell you want needs to be done today for safety and what can wait until next time. I usually work with Troy, but have worked with John and Kurt in the past and you can’t go wrong with any of them. They all have great customer service. They are great about getting you in quickly and keep you updated as your car is being worked on. Can’t say enough good things about this crew.

Since I moved to Prior Lake four years ago, my Mercedes C280 has been in good hands with Honest1 Care Prior Lake. Everyone is so kind and patient, most especially Troy. I recently had an issue with my boll joint, and Troy helped me repair it under warranty. My car is in excellent shape now. They really are honest! The customer service was very kind but unfortunately a lot of mistakes occurred. We were without a vehicle for long periods of time, the same error with our transmission was made twice, we lost 705 $ because we had to rent a truck to fit our family. The transmission that was first put in was incorrect and we had to have it replaced again. Just got very messy in the end. Im thankful that customer service was kind and helpful. Honest 1 called and helped pay the rental money. Thank you for your support.

John was so friendly and helpful, explained repairs needed an answered all my questions. Quoted fair/accurate prices. Arranged to have my car towed and all repairs done in a timely manner. I trust this local business with future car services/repairs.

We’ve been in Prior Lake for almost two years and have been looking for a friendly, knowledgeable car service company we can trust. We’re from a small town and prefer not being treated like a number. We finally found it in Honest-1. Timely, informative, friendly, and super easy to schedule. We found our place!

We received exemplary service for our oil change, transmission fluid replacement and a brake repair adjustment that they honored under our warranty that was at the fringe of expiring. We had to get some previously scheduled body repair done so they were additionally very patient with us and allowed us to split up the service work into two sessions to accommodate us. We are happy campers and grateful for how they handled our needs.

My vehicle was in to have a windshield wiper motor replaced. The original quote was almost $700 and they found another motor for less so it ended up being $500 only after I mentioned the motor is like $100 on Amazon. The service tech scratched my paint on the cowling in two different spots and after two hours the wipers stopped working again. Apparently a nut or something was loose. The front desk said they would take care of me the next time I am in. I sure hope they do as I have spent a couple of thousand dollars here in the last year on very new vehicles. I wasn’t overly pleased with how this all turned out this time. They are nice and offered me a loaner but at these shop rates I guess I expect a little more not to mention the scratches on my hood/ cowling.

Honest1 in Prior Lake has provided me with excellent service over the past 3 years. Everything is explained thoroughly, and there is no pressure or hard sell to perform optional maintenance. More importantly, they do great work and stand behind it. As an example of that, I had a heat shield come loose, and they re-secured it during an oil change at no cost, and then again after it happened again 6 months later. My latest trip was no different, as they got me in on short notice (without an appointment) to fix a suspension issue with my daughters car. Happy to have this shop right down the road from me!
