This
was
an
extraordinarily
disappointing
stay.
If
it
was
a
cheap
place
to
stay,
it
would
still
have
been
rough,
but
at
this
price
-
stay
somewhere
else.
To
start
with,
we
had
to
check
in
late,
so
we
contacted
reception
FOUR
times
to
arrange
late
check
in.
They
assured
us
it
would
work
out,
but
after
multiple
texts
with
the
caretaker
to
get
instructions,
we
finally
received
a
photo
and
instructions
to
open
the
lock
box.
Which,
upon
arriving
very
late
at
night
after
flight
delays,
we
discovered
was
behind
locked
entry
doors.
We
rang
the
after
hours
line
-
no
answer.
We
tried
ringing
the
caretaker,
who
answered
on
the
third
try.
He
did
not
appear,
but
a
random
security
guard
who
saw
the
pantomime
unfolding
took
pity
on
us
and
swiped
us
into
the
building.
When
we
arrived
on
our
floor,
we
were
greeted
with
a
foul
odour
(which
turned
out
to
be
pervasive
across
the
entire
building).
The
apartment
itself
is
both
dirty
(marks
on
every
walls,
mould
in
the
showers
and
dust
on
all
furniture)
and
very
poorly
appointed.
The
furniture
is
cheap,
ugly
and
in
terrible
repair.
The
staff
we
encountered
are
both
unhelpful
and
incompetent.
To
round
things
out
and
confirm
that
we
were
not
the
only
unfortunate
travellers
left
unable
to
check
in
successfully,
upon
arriving
home
after
dinner
at
10:30
pm,
we
encountered
another
hapless
guest
in
the
lift.
He
had
a
room
key
and
a
parking
pass,
but
no
swipe
card
to
allow
him
up
onto
his
floor.
He
was
similarly
unsuccessful
in
gaining
any
assistance
from
the
staff,
and
we
left
him
with
the
personal
phone
number
of
the
caretaker.
Hopefully
he
made
it
into
his
room
before
long.
The
upsides
were
the
bed,
which
was
clean
and
comfortable,
and
the
location.
In
a
city
filled
with
good
places
to
stay
at
this
price,
we
recommend
choosing
anywhere
but
Ivy
and
Eve.
