Mikuni never disappoints with sushi. The place old and needs some renovation. It's the original location i was told. Service is a bit slow.

Loved the ambiance. Customer service and food was awesome. We went by the two for $60 and added one more dish. All the items tasted 👌 Another great visit today.

Great sushi place with a casual atmosphere. I came here with my girlfriend and we both loved it! The atmosphere was a little too casual for my taste, but the food and service MORE than made up for it, so this place still gets five stars. STARTERS: Seaweed salad was refreshing and tender. Agedashi tofu was hot and crispy all around. It did not come in a miso broth as is common in some restaurants, but had enough flavor to stand on its own. SUSHI: Listed from top to bottom as they appear in my picture. The James Dean Roll was slightly sweet and had a rich flavor. The Masa Three Roll had a refreshing citrus flavor that was very unique. It's a great option to add variety if ordering 3+ rolls for a table. The Annie Roll had a delicious umami (savory) flavor and had a great combination of proteins. SAKE: Perfect temperature. Hot enough that it was still slightly warm by the end of the meal but not too hot so I could drink it immediately with my meal, and tasted like good quality sake. ATMOSPHERE: The only thing I didn't enjoy. They had sports on the TVs and we ended up seated right in front of one, so I was a little distracted during our date. I don't even like sports much but it's hard to avoid looking at it when it's right in front of me. SERVICE: Excellent. Very attentive yet didn't bother us too often with a nice and relaxing attitude.

Mikuni was amazing last night! We had Omead serve us and his service was great. Our table asked for a special for that night and let me tell you… it was a SPECIAL! Justin made us a special and it was the best one ever. We named it Jerusalem. My brother loved it soooo much. We’ll be back again to order it. Thank you so much Mikuni staff for such amazing service and food. In the picture there’s the DMC roll and the Special (Jerusalem) totally worth a try 👌🏼

I have not had the chance to dine-in here yet but I had have ordered take-out several times for special occasions. Every time the sushi is perfect and fresh, and the customer service is excellent. My family and I are very picky with sushi after living on the coast for years but Mikuni's impresses me each time. I have tried a lot of sushi places in the Sacramento area but this is the only one that I keep coming back to.

As the "Mother Ship" of the Mikuni's, this place never fails in having the freshest sushi, crunchiest tempura, & soul warming sake. Staff is helpful & friendly (except one who hardly says anything except to the chef. lol)

An spectacular place for above average sushi. Always super fresh fish and attentive staff. This visit we shared some of our favorites a Zig Zag Handroll, Tempura Appitizer, some Flaming shooms, & Sea Steak. Also the Lunch combo of 7 pieces Nigiri & a roll. It is so nice to have a sushi place you can count on. Everything you try here is always great. They offer a lunch menu as well as Happy Hour specials & they have a rewards program which is quite nice. We like this location best but they are all great. I will say this one tends to be on the cold side so bring a jacket with you.

I went to celebrate a birthday and had a pleasant dining experience. The offerings were quite extensive and the number of sushi rolls staggering. The wait staff are mostly attentive to your needs and they try to anticipate them when possible. Our order included appetizers, rolls, and entrees and everything was cooked/served in a timely fashion and most of all tasted Fantastic!

Very good sushi joint. Stopped in with some colleagues and had a great 1st experience here. Food was fantastic!

The menu can be overwhelming, but the fish is fresh and the sauces are tasty. Our favorite was the DMC roll, but we enjoyed everything. The service was great, the waitress helped us to select rolls to suit our desires. They were constantly working on take out orders which seems like a great idea to try. If you like Sushi this is in the top 5 for the greater Sacramento area.

We love this location. The original Mikuni. The food is awesome . It is a cozy place for having seafood, especially sushi. The service is also one of the reasons we love this location. I would highly recommend it.

Love this place. Lychee shock cocktail is so good! It's served with a flower that makes your mouth tingle. It's supposed to change the dynamic of the drink. Delicious cocktail. Their oyster shooters are second to none and Kayla the bartender makes you feel like you're in Cheers. Love this place!

I like this location better then the one in Folsom Ca. I still have my sushi beliefs. See my Folsom Mikuni review. My wife likes this place so I come here frequently. They are good the fish is fresh I just have different sushi standards.

Brought the family here for dinner and it was a hit. The kids loved the place and really enjoyed their food. The rolls are delicious, decently sized. All you can eat miso soup and our server was friendly and very attentive. Would highly recommend this particular Mikuni location.

I am from Toronto and we have excellent choice of sushi restaurants. The Mikuni on Hazel Ave impressed me with fast, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The prices are high but the servings are a good size and quality of fish is fresh Definitely will come back.

We like going to this Original Location vs the over rated one’s lol! service, food and drinks are better 🤗

I love Mukinis so much it's one of my favorites and the spicy tuna roll is always my appetizer at any location and is always so tasty. Highly recommend

Stopped in on an impromptu restaurant run at 8:15 pm (they closed at 9pm. We wanted some sushi 🍣 and a late dinner. Our server was welcoming and helpful. The sushi rolls were fresh, teriyaki beef was tasty and the curry beef was a whole vibe. I recommend this place for a date or quick sushi run!!

I'm visiting from out of town and came at the recommendation of my family. I am not a big fan of sushi but decided to still give it a try and I was not disappointed. There are plenty of options so regardless of where you are on the sushi spectrum there is something for you. There are also non-sushi items on the menu as well (recommend the teriyaki chicken).
