The Solstice Steps are truly a hidden gem in the heart of the city. This serene spot offers a view that's second to none. The binoculars at the end provide an amazing view of the downtown skyline, adding a unique touch to the experience. What I love most about the Solstice Steps is its versatility. It can be a reader's paradise, a runner's track, or a father's soccer field for their kids. It's a mixed bag of activities, making it a wholesome and peaceful destination for people of all interests. Whether you want to unwind with a book, enjoy a jog, or spend quality family time, the Solstice Steps offers it all against a backdrop of unparalleled natural beauty. A must-visit for anyone seeking tranquility and a touch of adventure in the city.

Beautiful sunset area that is a well used part of the lake front. I think there need to be more areas like this for people to enjoy parts of Cleveland that are less advertised.

Oh my this was by far the best park that I’ve been to with my son and grandchildren. My family had such a great time they didn’t want to leave, there’s so much for the kiddos and teens to do, plus the park is very clean including the restroom. I also took a swing , and let me tell you Lake Erie is so beautiful there’s also a walking trail witch gives you a better view of the lake so relaxing.

Beautiful park right on the lake. There are concrete type steps that you can sit and watch the sunset. You can also view the Cleveland city skyline on the opposite side. Also, a picnic and play area along with a basketball court are located here.

The Solstice & sunset together made for a memorable evening with the sunset mirroring only those found in Hawaii. We gathered with the friends & family along with 20 pizzas, to experience the sounds, smells and sights of the great outdoors. Featuring walking paths to view the city scape, covered picnic areas likely for rent, concession stand for snacks & as if the park wasn't big enough, a playground for the children. This park should be on a list of natural wonders. For the grand finalé, the sun slowly disappeared into the backdrop (of our great lake) in a bright blazing ball of glory, lighting up the skies in colors unimaginable. We saw it & felt it, peace, love and harmony everywhere. Everyone waiting for the same thing, the most beautiful sunset; anywhere in the world. I believe on this day, we saw it. Lakewood Park, The Solstice Steps, It's well worth it to make this a stop along your way, you'll be so happy that you did.

It's a nicely laid out park - more spacious than I'd imagined. Beside the swimming pool, baseball diamond & large shelter there is lots of open space The Solstice Steps are within Lakewood Park.

Great place to bring the grandkids. Fantastic play ground with lots of fun things to climb on. Bench swing overlooking the lake are a big plus. Plenty of steps to climb or just sit and take in the scenery.

It's a great little piece of Lakewood park. People often do workouts and yoga on or near the steps, and it gets really busy at sunset in the summer. You can spend a whole day at Lakewood park and finish watching the sunset over lake Erie on the solstice steps.

Absolutely beautiful park to go to! We met up with some family here while we were visiting family in Ohio. They also have a pool, baseball field, nice resting spots to sit and look at the lake, dogs are welcome, nice jungle gym for the kids and a nice little concession stand. Lovely park with a beautiful view of Cleveland!!! I wish we had this in Tennessee!

Beautiful place on the shore of Lake Erie to watch a golden, colorful sunset. Nice walking path along the lakefront to a point with a nice view of the downtown Cleveland city skyline. The park is clean and well kept.

It was so nice to be back here to remind me of the beauty of the Solstice steps at sunset. Had a wonderful picnic dinner by the water with the family. It was just a great time!

My husband and I decided to spend the day at the Solstice Steps to take advantage of the beautiful 80-degree weather here in Ohio. We had an amazing day! The community really makes use of the space. During our visit, the park ended up being full of families working out, enjoying lunch, and soaking up the sun. We will be going back.

Nice to be at the Solstice Steps on the solstice. The local custom of clapping at the moment the sun sets over the lake is sweet and given extra charge by the large crowd there for solstice. The band playing -- Cloud 9 -- had a good sense of the event and setting, thankfully setting their amps at a civilized rather than make-everyone-deaf level. Good selection of food from food trucks for the event. I walk at Lakewood Park several times a week and enjoy the diversity of people and the well cared for (except in winter) walking paths and bathrooms. There's always lots of activity going on with a nice playground, volleyball, ballfields, new pool, picnic areas, etc.

Great way to see lake Erie. Especially at Sunset. Would of liked to seen more police present. The steps are very steep but there is a path that you can take to access the lower level of the Solstice Steps.

What an incredible spot and view of the lake. Great place to reflect. Even with a lot of folks there, it still felt peaceful. Excellent place to just sit and talk with friends or to hang and reflect by yourself. Not a far walk from the parking lot either.

If you’re looking for a place to watch the sunset in the summer or just a place to relax and read a book, this is the place! Right at the edge of Lakewood Park, these steps face northwest and always has a good crowd of people waiting for the sun to disappear behind the horizon. Great place for a date too.

I love coming here for sunrise and sunsets. One of the best sunsets spots in Cleveland. It gets really busy for the sunset and there are lots of mosquitos so bring bug spray !

Beautiful Park and area to view the lake. Nice walk to viewpoint on Cleveland. Lots of space and activities. Would walk around more. The surrounding area was welcoming and nice to drive through.

We stumbled upon this neat park and watched the sun drown in the lake. The atmosphere was peaceful and we felt safe.

Great place to spend sometime in the evening. Stunning view of sunset. Could get crowded over weekends and Holidays. More than sufficient parking space. Great place to walk, relax, play, picnic etc.

I took my kids to the park and came across this by accident. The steps were very peaceful and caught a nice coming off the lake. I will come down here in the summer to cool off.

Not the same park I remember. Park down a side street & walk over to save the hassle. I didn’t bother checking out the restrooms. Extremely crowded for a Sunday sunset. Could be that it’s the weekend. Lots of kids without adults. Random fights & twerking on the sidewalk as we sit on the steps. On a different note— The diversity there is wonderful. Feels like all are welcomed. Lots of dogs. Nice paved paths without stairs. Get there early for spots on the steps as they fill up quick.
