I decided to come in for my birthday dinner and treat myself to the dry aged NY Strip. This steak was absolutely phenomenal! Cooked to perfection mid rare, the rich and succulent flavor of the dry age was at the right peak time as some dry age can be undetectable or too pungent. This was as good as it gets and I've had steaks all over the country at some of the most prestigious places. Will be returning soon. Arthur was very good at his job, great advice and friendly.

Celebrated our anniversary most recently here and it's always a blast. Capital grille is on the fancier side but they also treat you extremely nice. Since it was a celebration, they hand wrote a congratulations letter, prepped the table with some confetti, provided a complimentary dessert and champagne to toast, and even gave another lobster bisque to go. We have experienced many life celebrations at a Capital grille and all those little special things provided always appear consistent. Ordered a large steak ( they sliced it in half), lobster bisque (lobster chucks was perfect and fresh) , calamari for appetizers, and two sides to share. The food was plenty and lots of leftovers.

We've visit many Capital Grille locations, NYC, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Long Island, Philly, DC, Mexico City, Phoenix, and now Cleveland. I'm sure I missed some locations, but they all share the same high-quality elements. CG is probably the most consistent of all the premium steakhouses and Cleveland was no exception. Quality ingredients, served by people who seem to want to be there. Another satisfying CG experience here.

It’s a nice fancy place to celebrate a special occasion. The food is decent. The prices are quite up there. You can easily spend 350$ for a dinner for 2.

In a word: WOW! This was the single greatest dining experience we have ever had in Cleveland. The setting simply cannot be beat - belying the unassuming exterior, the restaurant interior is dark and sophisticated without being stuffy. Not to mention, the floor to ceiling wine racks (and private rentable wine lockers) make for great conversation starters. A tremendous shout out, meanwhile, goes to all of the staff for their kindness and warm hospitality... not least because they were able to upgrade our party to a private dining room, making the experience extra special! Special kudos to Anthony, our chief server, who was charming, entertaining, helpful, and attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Be sure to ask for him by name next time you're here - he'll take your dinner to the next level! As for the food, it was exactly what you would expect from a top tier restaurant. Nearly everything was good, from the smooth and elegant cocktails to the succulent onion bread to the creamy soups to the bright and refreshing salads to the deluxe whole lump crab cakes. However, the star of the show was, as it should be, the steaks: choice cuts trimmed and cooked to perfection, then glazed with sauces that complimented, rather than overwhelmed, the natural flavors of the meat. The only criticism I have is that some of the side dishes fell flat in comparison to the entrees (you're voted off of the island, creamed corn... though the mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts can stay). After two hours of wining and dining we were too stuffed for a full dessert course. However, Anthony brought the birthday girl a complimentary plate with a smooth and decadent chocolate lava cake and a crispy, creme brûlée-topped cheesecake, which were so good it made us all wish that we hadn't left our spare stomachs at home. Ah well, there will always be next time - which can't come soon enough!

Outstanding meal and outstanding service! Enjoyed a wonderful meal last week at this standout steakhouse that always delivers. We started with the bacon appetizer, and it was excellent. Order 1 of these for 4 people and you’ll all get a great sampling. Caesar salad is also excellent. If steak is your thing.. which is why you’re going here.. you can’t go wrong with the bone-in NY, or the bone-in Ribeye. Both excellent choices. I had the peppercorn on the NY and it was terrific. Perfectly cooked. The triple filet sampler - also a great choice. Sides- if you only get one, make it the au gratin potatoes- so good! Service from Renee was excellent, offering a deliberately slow pace- ensuring the perfect dining experience. Of the desserts we tried, the Crème Brûlée was the best. The Coconut Crème was just meh- lacking in coconut flavour. All in all, a perfect evening. 🌟 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Went here for a business dinner. It was an excellent choice. The staff was very attentive. The service was exceptionally well done. The food, from the appetizers to the main course, were cooked to perfection. I would recommend the Tuna Tartar. It was well presented and a nice combination of flavors. The New York Strip ranks among the best I have ever had.

Went here with friends to celebrate a birthday. Food was excellent, wine was phenkmenal, service was top notch and the desert for the end was fabulous. Highly recommend this steakhouse, one of my favorites in the Cleveland area. We absolutely will be back again.

Absolutely loved this place. First time here and everything was wonderful. Our waitress Jessica was amazing and had some good suggestions for wine. Tuna tartare was so tender and wonderful. Gorgonzola dry aged steak was out of this world and the brussel sprouts were some of the best I've had. But probably the best dish was the lobster Mac and cheese. It was out of this world. The wine was amazing and so were the mixed drinks. Service was outstanding and we didn't feel rushed at all even though we were there over 2 hours. Overall a very special Valentine's celebration.

Exceptional food and service! For appetizers, we had the calamari and the lobster/crab cakes. Both were very good. For entrees, we had the filet, NY strip steak, chicken with risotto and salmon. We all really enjoyed our respective entrees. I had the 10 oz filet mignon. It was my favorite steak I’ve had so far in Cleveland and we have had a lot of good steaks here. For sides to share, we got the lobster Mac n cheese, au gratin potatoes, asparagus and mashed potatoes. We did not care for the au gratin potatoes, but everything else was good! The au gratin potatoes tasted like sour cream and chives and were just not our style. The only other misses in our meal was the clam chowder and the bordelaise sauce that we had for our steaks. The clam chowder tasted good but tasted almost identical to the clam chowder that is sold at GFS. The bordelaise sauce was just a miss all together in terms of flavor. Our server, Jharell, was fantastic. He was friendly and attentive. We are excited to return to the Capital Grille at some point in the future! PS: FYI We were informed that there is 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more.

We had a great experience on Easter Sunday for dinner! Jharell was wonderful, professional, funny and we loved having him as our server. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great evening! Food & drinks were great, steaks were cooked as ordered. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyable dining experience a couple of weeks ago. Majority of the food was outstanding…roasted chicken breast w/mushrooms & parmesan risotto, red skin mashed potatoes and soy glazed brussel sprouts were ALL delicious! The seared citrus glazed salmon not so much 👎🏽…it looked and tasted dry. I had to give hubby some of the sauce from my chicken dish to spruce his salmon up a bit which did help with the taste some, but did nothing for the dry texture. Definitely would not recommend the salmon or order it again. Every other single item we ordered though was top notch. I also felt their prices were decent based on the quality and quantity of food. I will be a repeat customer for sure…look forward to returning.

We recently went to The Capital Grille for lunch to celebrate our anniversary. Service was great, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was fantastic. My husband was happy with his burger, and my filet was perfect. We also received a nice note acknowledging our celebration, as well as some absolutely delicious desserts beautifully plated on a special anniversary platter. Highly recommended for any special event or when you just want a great meal. I look forward to returning soon!

Since the untimely demise of our favorite anniversary place (Flemings Steakhouse), my wife and I have visited a few others. A dear friend of hers suggested The Capital Grille. Here’s my assessment. The pros; the service was awesome! When we first walked in we were greeted with warm smiles and compliments from the hostess. Next we had excellent service from are server Ana. The atmosphere was wonderful as we were seated at our decorated table. The crowd was not very loud but not stuffy either, a perfect mix. The drinks were great and you could definitely taste the alcohol. And once again our server was attentive without being overbearing, another perfect mix.. Now the con; their food. We both ordered medium 22oz ribeyes. My wife’s was a perfect medium, mine was well done. We had another stop so I didn’t bother sending it back. Also the meat itself was rather tiny, we’ve had much better steaks at Longhorn. We also ordered family sized mashed potatoes that were closer to room temperature than hot. The complimentary dessert was very tasty however. I was very saddened because I really wanted to like this establishment and thought maybe it had a chance to be our new “place”. But I cannot justify paying another $300.00, a high end price, and not receive a high end meal. My wife suggests we return and maybe try a different dish. Maybe….

Nice casual setting dim lights. The bread was excellent i loved the wheat bread. Wheat has a sweet taste to it and was very soft and fresh it was the best part of my meal to be honest. They gave multiple pieces of different kinds. I Ordered salad and lamb chops medium cooked. The salad with bacon was trash but they tried. The lamb 8 bones was well done over cooked instead of medium. However Reasonably priced food and drinks to be in this area. The bartender was nice and the restroom was clean and smelled fresh.

Always have an amazing experience here. Tonight I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Sivtlanna. One of the most pleasant serving experiences I have ever had. Very attentive, pleasant, and I will definitely be requesting her in the future! Food was exceptional as always!

My niece wanted to celebrate her birthday at The Capital Grille located in Lyndhurst, OH. There were five guest. We arrived about 15 minutes before our 5 o'clock reservation. The hostess was very nice and immediately seated us. The wait staff was professional and pleasant as well. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice, calm, and inviting. The restaurant was clean and the tables were dressed well! Our dinner consisted of: One person ordered the Crock of Caramelized French Crock ($12), (For the Table) Parmesan Truffle Fries ($11), Roasted Chicken Breast with Mushrooms and Parmesan Risotto ($35) Two people ordered the Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms and Fig Essence, both medium well. ($54 each) Another person ordered, (For the Table) Roasted Wild Mushrooms ($12), Bone-In Lina Crusted Dry Aged NY Strip with Shallot Butter, medium rare. ($57) Another ordered the Seared Salmon with Heirloom Tomatoes, White Wine Butter and Lemon Basil Mosto ($41). Three people ordered cocktails, the others had lemonade and a Shirley Temple. The service was slow, even though the restaurant wasn't terribly busy. When the food did arrive, the plates nor the food weren't hot; everyone said their food was just warm. The person that ordered the medium well sliced filet mignon stated it lacked seasoning and it was well, well done. It was very dry. I tried it for myself and it was just as they said. The Bone-In Lina Crusted Dry Aged NY Strip with Shallot Butter, medium rare was excellent but was just warm according to the person. They enjoyed the taste, texture and flavor. The seared salmon was ok. The Onion Soup was great! I truly enjoyed the soup. I would order it for take out! My chicken was juicy, seasoned well and large. Again, the food was just warm. The truffle fries and the roasted wild mushrooms were good. To end the meal, they presented my niece with a bitesize serving of Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake & The Capital Grille Cheesecake with fresh berries. On the plate were the words, “Happy Birthday” along with a candle They also gave my niece a handwritten card with the same sentiments. While it was nice, I won't be back. The menu, for me, didn't have a wide selection to choose from. I didn't mind it being à la carte, I just wish they offered more items.

We felt rushed after eating dessert after spending 200+ and over 100. Tip this was our third trip there as a group, and plan to eventually return. Food was awesome. Some of us have gone individually, all of us are seniors, even though they don't have senior discounts, we aren't rich, but we enjoy get together with friends while we can.

Excellent!! Before I remembered to take the picture, only one shrimp was left, and the crab & lobster cake was gone; delicious. The sheared tenderloin with lobster was also excellent. And Reece, you provided top-notch service. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. My husband and I will be back.

Always a great experience. The wait staff are kind and accommodating (when needed). The food and drinks are an extra bonus. The tenderloin with the butter lobster tails on top is my favorite go to meal. I had the filet mignon recently, and it was really good. We had the mashed potatoes, asparagus, and lobster Mac & cheese for the table. Everything was delicious!

Old-fashion business dinner with my wife and another...and it was terrific! Of course you can get a great steak and baked potato here, but we had the oysters and the lobster and crab cake, followed by the Seared-rare ahi tuna and the lobster for dinner. Fantastic! And service was right on point. And a beautiful little table off to the side in an elegant dining room, comfortable for dining and talking. The Coconut cream pie was AMPLE and delicious, and the seasonal berries sound like they'd be a lite and restrained little bite, but they were wonderful and RICH! We don't come here ENOUGH!

Very Upscale and 'special occasion type of place. We have always come here for just appetizers and desserts but today on a whim decided to come here for dinner. Food, ambiance, service, everything was great... But not perfect. There were definitely few hiccups along the way. And at this type of restaurant and price service, your expect little more. Our food definitely took a very long time. From the moment we sat down to the point we received the main course, we are probably looking at over an hour. My wife ordered tuna tartare as an appetizer and salad as main course but for some reason both of it were brought at the same time. I ordered Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms and Fig Essence (one of their specialties) but was brought out a regular filet mignon. They were very apologetic about it but my wife didn't want to have to wait and just took the cheese off the salad herself and they quickly made my steak properly. Besides those few hiccups, food was delicious (for the most part). Steak was cooked perfectly, salad was great, cauliflower side order was very good. The only thing I would skip is tuna tartare, there is just something off about it. Good desert options for the steakhouse as well

I really enjoy coming here because I like the bar atmosphere. Usually we sit at the bar or a table in the bar. The service is always very good. I like the bartenders and the food is very good. My only reason for not going five stars all the way is I just feel the prices are a little high for what you're getting.

  • 5/5 Mary L. 10 months ago on Google
Excellent dining experience. My son wasn't too happy about the slow service but I didn't mind as the overall feel of the Capital Grille was far above what my usual is. The server was friendly and relaxed with appropriate conversation and a great smile. Would love to visit soon to be pampered again and enjoy the oysters and filet that were perfectly prepared and exquisitely delivered to our table.

Delicious Food, Attentive Service, Beautiful Atmosphere. The Shrimp Cocktail came with the biggest shrimp I've ever had in my life, they were HUGE! The Pan-seared Sea Bass was good. The Dry Aged NY Strip au Poivre with Courvoisier Cream was cooked to perfection. Our waiter warned that the pepper miiiight be a little overwhelming and they weren't wrong, but honestly, it was a good kick. Each bite got better. The Potatoes were butter and paring them with the Steak made for a great bite. The Wild Mushrooms were lackluster. They were still all water and no flavor that definitely needed to be cooked longer. Again, pairing them with the steak and potatoes in a single bite made up for it. The Cheesecake and the Espresso Cake were super rich. The only other thing besides the mushrooms that was less than stellar was that 3 out of every 4 people walking in were in jeans and a t-shirt or a hoddie. This is a fine dining restaurant with a dress code disclaimer on their website, enforce it! This isn't the place for pandemic sweatpants.
