There is a beautiful panorama, the parking lot is very large. On the way to the cross is a beautiful tree-lined path. Around full of peacocks.

Beautiful drive up to this place. Lovely woodland area when you get there full of peacocks 🦚 and the view from the cross was amazing. You can clearly see the planes landing at Rhodes Airport from the top of the cross. There is some kind of church you can pay to go and look at but we didn't bother. There's plenty of car parking spaces and there's a little cafe with refreshments and souvenirs.

One of my favorite stops in Rhodes. It’s a beautiful place to visit and there is still plenty of time for the beach on the same day. The only part is getting up there. A car rental is the best way to go. Especially if you love a beautiful view of the shoreline, the trip up is half of the adventure. Slow down or pull over and take it in! I was too in awe to take pictures. Next time!

Amazing spot with stunning panoramic views reaching the surrounding mountains, the shores and beyond. Parking available by the fountain and the cross itself is free to access. There are wild peacocks around as well as some bugs, so just keep your kids in sight to avoid incidents. Fire extinguishers and hoses around in case of fire.

This place not enough words to describe it! The whole area around the cross has peacocks that walk around among the people and you can feed them if you like with some bread. The cross is magestic and the path that leads to it has religious representations of Christ carrying his cross that the Italians build during the war!Once you reach the cross then the view is spectacular! Must visit this place!

amazing views of the island, it looks like you can climb up the inside of the Cross but the gate was barred so I'm not sure whether you can arrange private access to do so

Walk down the path on your right to get there. The peacocks around usually mind their own business but can be bloody loud and screamy. Oh and the views from the cross platform are excellent! 👌🏾

This part was free to see. The view from up here is pretty good. No toilets. Peacocks everywhere. Monastery near it.

Has a Great view over local towns & villages. The cross is imposing but access to stairway inside isn't functional any more.

Great views, free parking and free entrance to the view platform (& small chapel), lots of peacocks singing and roaming around. The walk to the cross is also cool! The Monastery visit is the one which costs 6€ (0€ if under 25yo.)

Great place to see the sunset! Free to park at the top and then there’s a short walk (not steep at all) to the cross. We went on a Sunday and there were a couple of wedding shoots going on but it really wasn’t busy overall! Lots of peacocks roaming about too!

A big cross on top of a very large hill. We drove up there around 5pm and it was virtually empty. Parking is free. There are peacocks everywhere which is cool as well as some goats just wandering around. The views are amazing. You can see Turkey, Symi, the airport and for miles in every direction. It’s a nice, free thing to do if you’ve got an hour or so to kill and have a car/scooter to get you up there.

Wonderful slightly challenging walk from the coast before breakfast however it's well worth it. Stunning views fauna and flora flocks of peacock dot the route upon arrival met with a friend smile at the tea and souvenir shop and very informative chat Also Saw my first monk Such a tranquil and beautiful place I could have spent the entire day dreaming about the things that must have occurred here ❤️

Excellent view and the road there is two lanes with plenty of space for both buses and cars to pass, although quite bendy. We only came for the view, but the religious aspect of the place was easy to feel. 4/5 due to lack of a public toilet at the parking area.

Place is okay, but peacocks makes it even more fun, take a walk around, have a picnic between them (and please don't feed them bread or cookies!), if you are adventurous type, take grass path on the edges of the mountain from the cross to the right side to find dome ruins where you can see even more!

The cross is not very spectacular, but the view from the place is amazing.

Lovely spot situated high above the north-west coast of Rhodes. Cool shady spots and peacocks and peahens roam around you waiting for feed that can be bought at the little cafe/gift shop at the nearby monastery. Tiny little church next to the Cross is a must visit. Fabulous watching planes landing at the airport. This place is far away from the crowds and worth the walk. About 6km uphill from Ixia. Taxi up (13 to 17 euros in September 2022). We walked back down to Ialyssos via a steep dust track past another two little churches. Google Maps didn't particularly help at the bottom as the suggested route was blocked by a new villa development.

Essentially a big cross on top of a hill. You get great views around the island Free parking and a nice walk down a tree lined path to the cross, if you lucky you may see peacocks and goats. Nice way to spend a little time.

Absolutely stunning. Sadly due to fuel prices alot of locals were in strike so we were unable to go into the monastery, however we still looked through gate and walked the causeway to the cross. Fantastic views from the cross as well as lots of peacocks 🦚

Very peaceful place with lots of history, there is a small shop for refreshments and souvenirs. Walk along the path to the cross for stunning views of the island. The entry fee for the Monastery is way over priced at 6€, my advice is don't bother, Got to Rhodes old town an go to the Palace of the grand master of the knights 6€ entrance fee there and you get to see both inside the palace and museum.
