Historical house on the border of Kansas and Missouri. Lots of character with excellent drinks and pastries. I ordered the golden latte and it wasn't too sweet not overpower with turmeric. My friend ordered the honey and cinnamon which will not disappoint! For food, I ordered the almond croissant which had a almond paste filling. It tasted fresh texture was very enjoyable. My friends pop tart was also very unique compared to many that we've tried out of state. If you don't like things that are too sweet I thought alot of their items here had a good balance There is parking and seating for a good amount of people, but the place house is very small and only fits 5-7 people waiting in line

Cutie Gem! I researched for coffee spots nearby to where I was staying, and this place popped up. It is dang cute! Small Hut-style building, with friendly staff, ok parking, and great sweets! Their coffee cake is really tasty. And hear this out: their espresso coffee hugged my tongue. I ordered a double shot of espresso, with nothing else in it, and it wasn’t bitter, it wasn’t sour, but very well balanced. I definitely recommend this place for good coffee.

Hi Hat coffee is the cutest coffee shop in the KC area. However, if you want to enjoy your coffee onsite, pick a nice day because there is no indoor seating. Located in an old gas station, the coffee shop is absolutely charming. The idyllic patio is the perfect place to enjoy a warm coffee in the fall or an iced coffee in the heat of summer. They have a wide variety of coffee flavors and several pastries to choose from. The coffee is delightful and I would highly recommend the homemade pop tart.

If you’re in Kansas City, whether living here or visiting, you need to grab a cup of coffee at Hi Hat Coffee. So good. And the atmosphere is stellar. One of the coolest coffee stops I’ve ever made.

the aztec mocha is perfectly spicy-chocolate-coffee. I love the pastries, the pop tart is so good! they have a nice variety of drinks on the menu from basic to flavorful blended drinks! no seating inside but chairs outside with a nice view of the creek!

Adorable coffee shop in the Kansas City Area. The inside is on the smaller side but don’t let that keep you away! My first time visiting and Claire and Rebecca made my experience wonderful. I’m not familiar with coffee but wanted to try out this place for awhile and finally came in. I asked them their recommendations and they both mentioned the The Bee High Latte. I’ve been staying away from caffeine and let me know that that the regular coffee can be replaced with decaf and no dairy substitutes if needed. I received my latte within minutes. They also have fresh pastries I snagged the last cranberry pastry (I can’t remember the name but was delicious) before a rush came in. It’s was colder today but they do have an outdoor seating area for the nicer weather. Thank you so much for the recommendations and will be back in again.

Cute coffee shop. Good prices and great stop during the fall. Nice chairs out front. Was even in a hallmark movie.

A cute KC classic. The staff is friendly and the drinks are great. I love the Aztec Mocha for a little sweet and spicy treat. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

What a splendid little treasure tucked in one of the most inviting neighborhoods around Kansas City. The high-pitched roof of this tiny brick structure beckoned me: I had to pull over & check it out. Real wood Adirondack chairs, very personable service, and a delicious latte make HiHat a legitimate destination. It is so much more than a quick stop for your daily caffeine kick. I enjoyed my morning journaling & eavesdropping on easy conversation. People linger here. And how can you not? Its charm casts a spell.

Cosy and lovely tiny coffee place. The place is very tiny so be aware of that. Plenty of outside space for seating and enjoy you Amazon tasting coffee. We loved the flavour and taste of the coffee. The girl that served us was super friendly. A really nice place.

Last stop on our coffee tour was HiHat in Westwood. I love this neighborhood coffee shop. It’s located inside an old Phillips 66 gas station built in the ‘20s. Outdoor seating only, but a sweet stop if you enjoy a great cup of java.

Quaint building which is tiny and used to be a gas station. A gathering place that is easy to walk to and meet others. Dog friendly. Servers are very engaging. Coffee and other drinks are very reasonably priced and very good. We like their protein balls.

Quaint spot to grab a drink. They have a good atmosphere and good outdoor seating. They don't have a ton of tea options, but their coffee looked great. There was only one barista, but she was efficient and very kind! She even worked with me to create a tea drink a bit fancier than what they had on the menu. Overall a good experience.

This place is ADORABLE. There's only room for a couple people inside at a time making it a cozy and friendly experience. Lydia helped me decide on which coffee to get, and I was definitely not disappointed. (Try the Bam Bam...it's amazing) Excited to try more of their menu!

Such a great shop! Hi Hat is one of those hidden gems that locals love and out-of-towners wish they had back home. All of the coffees here are excellent, but the real selling point is the shop’s architecture! It’s hard not to be charmed by Hi Hat’s brick exterior, and it’s great that they were able to repurpose an old gas station into a such a picturesque gathering place for its community.

I just found my favorite coffee shop in the Kansas City area! This sweet little building contains warm, inspiring, and beautifully crafted coffee and drinks. The baristas were so friendly and welcomed everyone with a smile, even remembering people’s names that are are regulars. I’m so glad I happened to find this little spot.

This coffee house is small with lovely outdoor seating. It has a large selection of coffee and tea drinks. The ones my daughter and I selected were very good! The staff were friendly and helpful.

This is THE cutest little coffee shop in the area, hands down. Perfect for coffee dates. Try the Aztec Spicy Mocha for a nice morning kick. Fun fact: the name Hi Hat comes from the hi hat cymbals that drummers play with their left foot. From what i heard the owner is a real jazz head, thus inspiring the name. Seriously, i just had a coffee date this morning and it was the perfect place for it. Great staff, great coffee, cozy atmosphere. Give them your money.

One of the best coffee spots in KC! The small building is adorable, the coffee is top notch, and the staff are always friendly despite being swamped every time we go. Make sure to add them to your coffee tour if you’re visiting, or give them a try if you’ve overlooked them before now! Parking is limited with some street parking so they are best enjoyed “on the go” to help let other customers get their fix but they do have several spots to sit with your drink.

I believe this is the smallest coffee place in Kansas City! There are about 7 car parking space outside. Lots of choice for drinks and some cookies/pastries to choose from!

hey these ladies are fun to chat with and they have some awesome products for sale. I had the Chia latte and the pop tart.... I will be doing that again soon. Met my daughter here and then we walked around the neighborhood. lovely homes, quiet streets and such a clean and eclectic area with beautiful trees and homes to admire. Stop at Hi Hat for coffee and pastries and then enjoy a great walk in the neighborhood!

Pros: I’ve been really into the cinnamon honey lattes with oatmilk and that’s been my go to just about everywhere I go, and I have to say, this is quite possibly the best one I’ve had! The creaminess, prefect balance of coffee to flavor, presentation, all so amazing! The service was also amazing! People were so friendly, asked questions and seemed to genuinely want to get to know you a little! Thankfully it was a slow time so we got the chance to talk a little! I got the Bee High hot and my husband got the butter toffee one iced and that one was good too! Cons: no where to sit inside, but still some seating outdoors! We spent $11.05 after tax for two small drinks (12 oz hot, 16 oz iced) Go check out this little hole in the wall! SO SO GOOD!

This was our first time for Hi Hat. Our son lives in the area and brought us here. We got a blended coffee, nice cold brew for summer and it was very good. The servers were friendly and even though there were a lot of people ordering, they were also very efficient. And the other customers were also friendly and had fun chatting with everyone. We will definitely go back!

A cute corner coffee shop with a little patio area. Good coffee with lots of unique offerings perfect for every morning. There is a patio to enjoy your coffee in with plenty of seating but there isn't any indoor seating options so plan for the weather accordingly. Line was out the door when we arrived but it moved very quickly.

This charming little coffee shop is the perfect neighborhood spot. Given how small it is, there's really not much to it, but that's what makes this little coffee shop so endearing. The service was good. My iced latte was delicious. The outdoor patio was peaceful. It is definitely the ideal neighborhood coffee shop. I would highly recommend trying again.

Tiny little cafe with big coffee flavor. Baristas at the ready, swift and capable of making anything you love and even surprising you with new things that you are soon to love. Outdoor seating area and you must wear a mask during COVID. Great to wait while your kids get out of school.

Finally made it out here while visiting Annadore's next door, and now I'll be by every time I'm anywhere near the Plaza. We tried the Butter Bean latte and the Sweet Tree latte, and they were both divine. There's just something different about how they taste - it's so good, and the atmosphere is so cozy, and everything about this place is great. It's not crazy expensive, either, which is rare for a smaller coffee shop, although I can't recall the exact pricing. So glad I finally dropped in after years of meaning to.

If I could give this place 500 stars, I would. I love this place so much. They are incredibly friendly at all times of day. They give great recommendations and they always make something delicious. They make me feel like I care. It's just a tiny adorable shop but they have outdoor seating, too. If you want pastry items, go early, they sell out fast. Love love love this place.
