Very casual vibe with unbelievably tasty food served tapas style. Each plate was as visually exciting as it was flavorful. The variety of dishes and drinks was very fun and a cool exploration of Caribbean foods with some influences really bringing things to the top. Can’t wait to go back because there are many more plates I’m excited to try!

This is easily one of my new favorite spots in MSP. The food is amazing, the cuisine and cooking styles are super diverse. The service was great, although it is more of a casual spot so you order everything through the app. But I think my favorite thing was that it was walk in only, that helps a ton, especially in downtown. I'll be back.

First time trying out the chef's menu, at 6 pm, after a high recommendation from a friend. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The restaurant overestimated its ability to handle a full house for a tasting course. Total of 6 dishes, from the third dish to the fifth, we were told to share the tiny bite-size dish with our partner. Had been to numerous tasting courses, but never had this happened before. The kitchen was too overwhelmed, and they were pressed for time to be on time for the 8 pm reservation. The first fish soup was served ice cold and the meat was so raw to the point I can't break the texture with my fork, tasted like rubber. If it was a normal dish, I would totally return to the kitchen. There was a long wait between each course, the ingredients chosen were nothing special but corn, beans, and rice. For a $120 price tag per person, it was not justifiable. First leaving a tasting course with a half empty stomach, and I'm a fairly small size girl, can't imagine for the guys from the group. (pictures attached from dishes had to be shared between 2 people for reference)

My husband and I visited Guacaya Bistreaux for a date night and will definitely be back. Beautiful ambiance. Fantastic food and delightful spins on classic cocktails. We ordered the cauliflower spiced with a beautiful, balanced heat, the brussel sprouts, combined with the pear which made such a phenomenal, complimentary flavor combination. We shared the skirt steak which was grilled perfectly rare and tender, the chimichurri so bright!  It was my favorite. And a large enough portion to share. We tried both the bread pudding and the panne cotta for dessert. They were well matched together. The rich banana rum sauce and rum emphasized bread pudding alongside the tropical flavors of the panne cotta were a perfect end to our meal. Generous portions for a tapas restaurant in everything. The wait staff and service were prompt and cheerful, Shelby was excellent. The bar service was detailed and fast. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of their menu.

This is my favorite spot in Minneapolis now!!! Randomly selected this spot for a business meeting, and I am glad we went there!! Our server, Quiton (Q), was warm, friendly, and attentive. The food was yummy!! Every single one of our dishes, we sure did order a lot! The presentation of each dish is 5/5! The drinks were good too. The ambiance and aesthetic are lovely. I will be back with more folks.

I love it here! I first came and had their brunch and got the steak and eggs( not pictured). I knew I needed to check out the dinner menu and it did not disappoint! I’ve come back with a few of my friends and we are all in agreement… amazing. The food: delicious and so flavorful.. the service was amazing… all of my servers have been friendly and so great… the restaurant vibe is so laid back and such a vibe! Ours drinks aren’t pictured but we’re worth every penny!

The servers were great! The patio is nice. The catfish was really good. Friend enjoyed the jerk chicken as well. Another friend didn’t care for BBQ sauce on grits. Wish there was salt on the rim of the margaritas. Food/drink was overpriced for the amount but was good quality. I’d recommend this place if you’d want to try a great chef.

We just discovered this place. Stopped by for a couple of drinks and a bite. My wife and I were both surprised by the quality of the food. We will definitely be back for dinner.

This is easily my favorite restaurant in Minneapolis. I am originally from New Orleans and this dinner reminded me of home. It did not disappoint at all. The drinks were also really good. I would easily recommend this restaurant to anybody no questions asked. Can’t wait to come back here!

Amazing food! Caribbean / Latin - best in town! We ordered the Maiz, Patacones and Carne en Palito. The drinks are absolutely incredible. So recommended!! Don't miss it.

Right when I walked in the hostess was not very welcoming. There was a shortage in staff and we had the bartender helping us. The food is extremely salty. We ordered mussels and the flavor was off. Really overpriced for what you get. I'd skip this place.

Adored this. Tapas + Gumbo + Cajun Shrimp Pasta = heaven. Great space and friendly staff as well. Try their Cafecito Espresso Martini, it’s fantastic.

Wow. This is truly a great restaurant. I decided to take a coworker here based on decent reviews, and boy did I make the right decision. Every single item we ordered was fabulous. From the sides to the starter, to the entree, there was not a single bite that wasn't delicious. Also, Magdiel, our waiter made well informed recommendations, provided kind and attentive service and left us grateful for his input. Truly incredible meal at a lovely restaurant.
