Overall, the food is not bad. What looked like separate food stalls, like the ones in Asia, are all for show. You order at the front cashier and pick up the food at the back counter. The place is smaller in person. I do like the Hong Kong and Taiwanese influence of the menu. After sitting a while on their plastic chairs, my back started to hurt and had to get up. We had a large order and was missing an item. Luckily someone in our group noticed and had to talk to the cashier. Of course the flavors aren't as good as the real food stalls in Asia. I think it might be the local ingredients. The one thing I didn't like was how most of the stuff was served in to-go containers. Such a waste.

As close to a Hong Kong street food experience as you can get without flying to Hong Kong. Accurate down to the tables and chairs you sit at. With the right lighting, you could reenact your favorite HK movie scene. I really had the feeling of a daai pai dong (大排檔) in the street of Wanchai. All the food is authentic and tasty, but very innovative. We had the shrimp and egg on rice (滑蛋蝦仁飯), roasted bone marrow over rice (炬牛骨髓跟飯), curry chicken (港式咖喱雞飯), among other things. We loved them all. They had authentic Hong Kong style milk tea (絲襪奶), but it takes over 20 minutes to brew the tea strong enough. I didn't arrive at the right time to get a cup, but it gives me a good excuse to go back!

Hong Kong street kind of theme. They have a lot of dishes to choose. Food tasted okay and vibes good. On the other hand, I noticed that they waste too many plastic bowls and utensils. I don’t think they care about that much. Shrimp dumplings and popcorn chicken tasted great. It’s a bit too pricey for Cantonese street food though. Overall, it was okay.

I really wanted to like this place. It's on the pricey side for what the food and drinks are. I like the aesthetic and the theme. But I ordered two drinks and I waited 15 minutes before someone came out from the back to make my drink. I watched the woman who came out make my drink in less than a minute. The workers don't look like they care, which I understand, they're just working there but they move slowly. Got my drink but missed the toppings I asked for. I can't tell if I paid for it (cause I don't really pay attention to the screen/50 cents) but the cashier repeated my order and it was right then. They remade our drinks. I just feel so disappointed.

I had the beef chow fun. Although the flavor was good and they gave lots of beef, mine was a little tough and that is why I gave three stars on the food, maybe mine is an isolated incident. The prices are like San Francisco which is where I live but the location is in South San Francisco and the prices are slightly higher than average for out lying cities. If you've been to an Asian "Street" night market in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tai Pei or similar, the name conjures up small rickety tables and chairs for "temporary" locations and there are some temporary "token" chairs and tables in front of the store you might find in an Asian street night market. There is also a dessert place next door or in the same structure. The outdoor atmosphere here is clean like an American standard restaurant or fast food place and ideal for warm weather. They also have limited indoor seating. The menu is very large and the time from purchase to walking away with pick up for a single item is fair.

It's pricey for mediocre food and portion. I wanted milk pudding (T8) but they were out and so I got Silken Tofu pudding (T3) which was soft tofu with simple syrup...without the syrup, it did not taste like a dessert at all. There was also an after taste so I was disappointed.

Love Love Love this place so much! It brought me a lot of great memories of HK. I just miss HK so much. 🥲 The foods are very authentic. If you love HK street food, you must try this place. The place is very clean and the staffs are very welcome and friendly too. :)

I came here about 90 mins before closing. The chicken with yellow rice (menu item R1) did not taste as good as it looked on the menu photo. The deboned chicken drumstick meat was dry and rubbery. Yellow rice was quite hard like it was undercooked or was under a heat lamp all day. The cabbage was the only item that tasted fine. I like how the place looked sanitary, especially the bathroom. The prices are overpriced considered the bad food quality. I will likely return here in the future because my European friends like this place. The music indoors is very loud. It’s difficult to have a conversation unless you are speaking into their ears. I do not recommend this place for those who have sensitive hearing. Outdoors seating is less noisy but cold.

Pretty good selection, brings me back to Hong Kong memories! Quite expensive though compared to Hong Kong We got the: - Xo sauce rice rolls - chicken rice (I needed to ask for the sauces, they didn't have the sweet soy sadly) - came with shrimp crackers - fish cake noodles 車仔麵 So good

The atmosphere is good but not the food nor the price. As a Cantonese, I wouldn’t suggest going. -Cart noodles: the pig knuckle tastes like soup water. The noodles come in a big portion (a plus) but the overall taste is not good nor as expected. -beef tripe: no other taste than oil.. the restaurant should filter the water out -pudding cakes: the mixture can be mixed better. The texture is just not right. I can make better ones at home honestly -shrimp dumpling: is the only ok one but it’s too overpriced. We try way better ones for $5.50 In conclusion, if you just want a night market vintage photo, it is a good place to go. But if you want quality Hong Kong food, reconsider…

A lot of alternatives, with ok prices. The staff are very polite and the food is a bit above avg. for the price. A lot of desserts, which is rather unusual. The interior can be improved a lot. Rating: 4.5/5

Delicious soy quail eggs marinated and milk steamed pudding. XLB is average. Would come here for a night snack

Underwhelming, out of stock on some popular items like everything boba. Spicy wontons were spicy in a corn starch sauce. BBQ pork buns weren't buns, more like soft tacos. Popcorn chicken was pretty good. Several other things to try next time but I'm not highly motivated to return

Visiting from Colorado, my wife read about this place in an article. Unfortunately, the experience is nothing like the article. We ordered steamed pork buns, wet beef chow fun, fried whole squid special, and sesame balls in ginger soup. Let’s start with the pork buns and chow fun. There are better choices in Daly City than this place. They screwed up our order…we got dry chow fun instead of wet and the steamed buns were meh….ok but not mind blowing. Biggest disappointment was the $20 fried whole squid. It was rubbery, lukewarm at best and coating was falling off the squid. The absolute worst was that they forgot SALT!!!!! I mean it was a flat piece of unsalted rubber. We couldn’t even finish half of it. Definitely not coming back as a 20 minute drive north would get you a much more satisfying meal. Music is also too loud and I can’t hear them call out numbers over the music.

Good cheap food. I ordered Beef Chow Fun Dry and Tofu Pudding. Mike got Congee and curry pork belly.

Warning for parents: menu items do not state if dish is spicy. Popcorn chicken, XO noodles were too spicy, even for me and I like a lot of spice. Cashier saw we had kids and said nothing 😑 That said, food was ok. XO noodles needed more sauce, less oil. Popcorn chicken needed more salt, less chili powder. Boba pearls are a tad hard. Can totally skip the noodles soup 🫣 I appreciate having places like this nearby but with a few tweaks it could be much better.
