I came in for a color and cut. I'm trying to transition to gray so this was my first step in that process. Unfortunately it didn't go as planned. My stylist was Ashley. Long story short, she went darker with the base - about 4 shades darker than when I arrived at the salon. Then her highlights, which came out yellow/white, didn't go all the way to the root. It's awful! Clearly she made a huge mistake. It's going to take serious time to correct this mess. Now they won't do a haircut because they don't have time. So here I sit, more foils in my hair, 4 hours later. Update: the second set of foils didn't correct the problem. If anything it's even worse. I still have dark roots around my hairline, nearly white highlights behind them, and the back of my head is dark brown. I don't understand how this happened. 5 hours of time, leaving with hair color darker than when I came in. It's going to require more maintenance than what I came in with. These crazy stripes and the dark base color....... What a nightmare!! Another update: the salon manager blamed the bad color on me! The only thing I did was sit in a chair and let Ashley apply color. What kind of salon blames a customer for the stylist's poor work? I offered to show her pictures of my hair, but she refused. She wasn't even in the salon when any of this happened!! Unbelievable. The salon is very nice and very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and Brie did a nice job on my haircut and was a lovely person. However, I was blown away when I was told *after* the haircut (no color, extensions, chemical treatment, anything; just a haircut) it was $150. I found it to be extremely deceptive, as you cannot make an appointment online if you are new, so you cannot see any prices. When I got there all I was told they charge by time, not a flat rate for services, which I said was fine. I was given no monetary quote, but in my wildest dreams would I have NEVER expected a haircut to be $150, nor would I have continued with the haircut if I had known. Of course they have you schedule a future appointment, etc. before you are told what you owe. If money isn’t an object, Brie was really good and my hair turned out great, so I would recommend her. But you might want to consider a different salon if you don’t want to pay NYC level prices in Louisville. Wish I had seen the Yelp reviews first which discuss the outrageous pricing. ***edit of review to respond to the business response - when you try to book online, it says if you’re new to click and chat to get a reservation and has a separate link for returning clients. So it purposefully prevents you from seeing the pricing by sending new clients to book directly with staff. And again, she told me how much time it would take, not what the price per hour was, so the “consultation” that was had at the beginning of the appointment discussed no specifics on pricing.

Lacey was awesome and so sweet! Enjoyed my time there as a first time guest! Had the Keratin treatment. She was very thorough with me on how to take care of my hair and what to expect. The neck and hand massages were an unexpected surprise!

First time getting my hair done in a year. My hair is amazing and the services provided by the salon are above all. Loved the extras and the option to add other services while getting my hair done! Already rebooked before I left, and I will be returning in the future.

Lacy is amazing!!! Not only do I love my outcome, but it was batter than expected. I had several layers of at home dye on my ends and red on the top half of my hair, but she made my hair evenly colored and made the red I wanted way more bright then I thought I could reach. She also made sure I was comfortable and provided the best hand massage ever! 😁 Lacy you are my go to from now on and nobody knows true professionalism and high quality until they visit Neatbeat Salon. NeatBeat is a great place if you want a relaxing experience and professional hair artists. My hair always looks great.. color, cut and style. Keratin treatments are excellent as well. I highly recommend NeatBeat!

I went for the first time last week and have never felt so pampered at a hair salon in my entire life. I didn’t know what all was included with a cut with the Neatbeat experience; you get a neck massage, hand massage, and a hot eye mask. My stylist Grace gave me exactly what I asked for in cut and style, her attention to detail and attentiveness to make sure I was comfortable with how short we were going was amazing. The entire experience from greeting to leaving was phenomenal. Will definitely be back and recommending to others.

Everybody is nice & friendly, I really did look forward to coming back, but as the lighting isn’t the best in the salon, I was disappointed that I seen my hair was not completely dyed all over like I requested, also the style was half done, I was not told that I would have blue hands if I had wet my hands & touched my hair, I asked for blue black all over my hair & have never had a problem doing it myself at home with box treatment but I wanted to get it professionally done & I can not say that is what I received ! The stylist I had was Grace, she is a nice person but I am not happy that I spent $270 for a half job 🥲

Loved loved loved this place. I just moved from California and I was so nervous to let a new stylist cut my hair but she did amazing. It feels more like a spa day then a haircut because they start you out with massages and heated eye pads, beverages and snacks. Just the medicine I needed. It was affordable and worth every penny and she didn't cut too much 🙏 I will be returning 🥰

Katie is the best!! She listens to my needs and then delivers spot on. She makes me feel like a queen during the appointment and especially after I walk out of the doors with my new doo. She is my Louisville hair person for life!

I was looking around at other salons for a while, when I discovered Neatbeat. I looked through the work and discovered Lacy. I scrolled through her work, and did a fashion color look that I loved and was similar to what I get, so I decided to reach out and book a consult with her. I’m super picky on who does my hair, but she made sure I felt confident choosing her and Neatbeat. I finally had my appointment today, and it couldn’t have gone better. She walked me through everything, made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and she even got my hair to cooperate. Both the black and blue took exactly like they were supposed to for the very first time, and I couldn’t be happier about it. I literally never pre-book for a maintenance appointment, but I did just that today. I can’t wait to come back next month.
