Excellent customer service, good prices & an ocean of retro games that are hard to find and or delisted off the digital stores from the big 3. Rob & Eric brought my PS4 Pro back to life after it randomly went into safe mode needing a whole new hard drive. They legit care instead of other places that nickel & dime u for everything. I highly recommend! I became a member that same day. Another reason why I avoid GameStop at all costs. 5/5

A favorite location of mine for browsing used and new video games current and retro. Always helpful staff and a wide variety of games to choose from. Get your consoles and discs repaired by their staff to preserve your collection!

Their customer service here is great! Not only with my partner and I shopping but they were so friendly to everybody who came in the store. They have an awesome selection for games & accessories and they definitely know what they’re talking about here. I couldn’t recommend this specific location enough!!! Very welcoming. I Disagree with daniel jackson, they repaired my laptop, ps5, and ipad, no issues. and i purchased my ps 5 there w a free game. great company, they will w| you on prices.

I love supporting local game stores! This is one of the nicest and friendliest stores I've been to in a while just visiting the area! I got lunar dragon song for the DS when I originally wasn't going too, but the manager was very friendly and let me know it was discount Friday and was very flexible with the price! I would love to visit again if I ever come back to Chicago!

Cool place and games overall but has it’s issues. They seem to only repair consoles themselves and not any accessories like controllers or anything else not game system related The console bundles would also be so much better if they didn’t add on so much useless unneccessary gear, Like $700+ for a PS5 bundle and no base console only? Not enough to keep me from visiting every once in a while to browse around. Prices could be better too.

Guys were pretty awesome Jesus and Rick were awesome. I sold all my games and bought 3 original xbox games 1 was free it was awesome i also joined a membership they gave me. Service was great I recommend you guys to go here if you guys ever want any retro games or new gen. If you leave a 5 star review to them they said you get a $5 gift card when you show them your review in store. Also Jesus said that if I buy a console there he'll give me 15% off games and accessories I'll definitely come here again.

Came to this store because i was struggling so much trying to find some authentic wii controllers and a nunchuck. I was reccomended this place from someone at a gamestop store. I was super impressed and amazed at what they had at this location. The person who i believe was the owner was awesome and he really helped me out. When you walk in it feels like your going back in time to the days of the wii, gamecube etc. Not only do they have retro stuff but also present stuff. Highly reccomend this place if your looking for retro stuff like me.

Easily the best place to come for retro and modern video games. The manager was super helpful. Literally nobody has silent hill, and they held their copy for me to come pick up. I’ll definitely be back. I couldn’t recommend the store more to anyone

Just purchased a Nintendo DS Lite and it’s been a challenge looking for games. Me and my husband came in here and wow do they have many games for my system! I joined their membership and it’s pretty worth it. Customer service is polite and helpful. Happy customer here :)

Best selection and atmosphere among game stores I've been visiting in the Chicagoland area. Rod Wolf has been super friendly and helpful in getting the best games and best deals for them. Haven't felt this food walking into a game store since I was in high school. Worth visiting even if you have a long drive.

Pretty good store overall could use better deals but for what it’s worth I believe an associate named Julian helped me find the correct charger to use for one of my psp’s pretty good customer service

First time shopping here on 3/3/23. Came to trade in Simpsons hit and run on GameCube and even without the box I was given a very fair price regardless! The staff were very friendly, very welcoming. I enjoyed talking about games with them. Their store, although full of collectibles, consoles and games(new and retro), is really clean and organized. I’ve been to other local game stores around the area and this has to be one of the top ones, hands down. I didn’t get his name but my receipt says R. Wolf so s/o to him and the business !

I thoroughly enjoyed shopping at Back In The Game! It was my first visit to the location and I received amazing service. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and gave me great advice as I shopped for an anniversary present for my husband. I will definitely return anytime I need to buy a gaming console or a game, and I cannot wait to take my husband here. I know he will love the nostalgia feeling you get when you walk in!

This place is amazing. I wish i new about this place when i first moved to chicago. The staff is amazing and welcoming and the experience of having my parents faces light up as they see what they have, cant be replaced. I will be a frequent customer moving forward and will be puttin everyone i can onto shopping here. Wouldnt go anywhere else unless absolutely had to.
